I went for dinner tonight before a show at aa arena. To say the service was slow is an under statement. I thought they forgot they had customers. They were not extremely busy. The waitress didn't check to see we were out of drinks while we waited and waited and waited for the food. The food was good but the service was so horrible I will not be back. There are other restAurants in bayside. more

I visited this place with my husband and I ordered their signature dish, Churrasco Presidente. The meat was the most tender I ever had in a steak. It was cooked to perfection and the service was superb. My husband ordered the steak, "Bife de Chorizo." The meat was also juicy, tender and delicious, but not as tender as mines. For dessert we had the Tres Leches (they claim to serve the original Tres Leches), and to say the least, it was the best Tres Leches we have tried in town. Greatly enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it to everyone! more

We had some holiday shopping to do at the Falls and my husband suggested dinner at Los Ranchos. :( For what we spent we should have gone else where. The food was marginal, and the service was fair to poor based on how much we spent. We have been there many times years ago and the service and food had been outstanding! Now it is the bare minimum and the food is okay. I went to their website to make a comment and they dont have an email (that i could see) to make my comment. If you are thinking of going, dont waste your money! I dont mind paying $23 for a steak but i want something that I leave with the wow factor and the service is better than a fast food restaraunt more

Do you want to eat garbage?\r Garbage food, I never experience all in one place, food terrible, order churrazco it taste like gas, horrible taste horrible presentation, my wife order chicken, it taste like gas too, the pinto rice is a signature dish, it was dry, even the fry plantains were raw or not properly cook, food was deliver after 40 minutes of placing the order, the waiter trow the food on our table and run, he also never explain the dishes or anything else, the restaurant was half way empty, conclusion terrible food, terrible service, and expensive, I don't understand the kind of taste in food from the ones that are living good comments, that's my experience and you are warned! more

Great Setting and view. Service slow. Chicken fajitas OK. Steak had great flavor but a little tough. Large portion of meat tho. Fried cheese appetizer sqeaks when u chew. Lots of beans. Rice, & fried plantains piled up - more than u can eat. A worthwhile one time visit but not likely to go back soon. more

I have lived in South Florida for the past 20 years, and one of the restaurants I used to love to take people to experience great churrasco was Los Ranchos.\r The last time I visited the Bayside location I was incredibly disappointed with the restaurant. \r The service was poor to say the least. The waiter came 20 minutes after we were seated, took the drink order and disappeared for the next 20. \r Since we had plenty of time to look at the menu several times over and we didn't want to wait 20 minute intervals between orders, we ordered the appetizers, soups and the main courses at the same time.\r We were expecting that things would be served in the proper sequence. 25 more minutes had passed until all of a sudden everything was brougth to the table almost at the same time, salads, soups, and the main course in a span of 5 minutes, ahead of the appetizers. \r The waiter was surprised when I said that I didn't want the appetizers anymore, and he suggested that he could send back the main courses until we could finish the appetizers. \r After that incredible sugestion, the waiter dissappeared for a good 25 minutes.\r The food was under par, the rice and beans were dry, the plantains seem from yesterday and the churrascos were not cooked to specifications, most of the churrascos were overcooked.\r After we finished the meal we had to wait another 15 minutes for the empty plates to be removed, and another 10 minutes for the check to arrive.\r In summary, it is sad how a once excellent restaurant has turned into a mediocre restaurant as a cause of lack of service, attention to details and food preparation.\r This visit to los ranchos ocurred on a Saturday night around 8:00pm., more

My husband and I had always heard such great things about this restaurant.... We ate there for the first time 3yrs ago, and it was great! The food was sooooooo good! We decided to go back to this same one for our anniversary. What a disappointment. Their famous rice and beans was dried out, there plantains strips stale... We could have gotten over the food quality, because here in South Florida restaurants are never consistent with food quality they have more bad days than good. The thing that gets to me and really screwed up our highly anticipated night, was the treatment. The restaurant isn't packed, and our waitress is literally avoiding us, no water, she throws the food on the table, attitude. But then when she is serving and taking care of the other 3 tables next to us she is so gracious and attentive? My husband and I were crushed. We had been waiting so long to go out and enjoy the restaurant we craved so much for. And I forgot to mention we drove all the way from Fort lauderdale to Bayside Miami. What a waste! Very disappointed. She treated us so bad that we didn't want to finish our meal. We wanted to leave asap. I spoke to management, and put in a complaint. But they just looked at us, like it's not their problem. Los Ranchos has gone down hill, and has left a very bitter taste in our mouths. Don't waste your time or money. Cook some food at home, you will have a much bettter time staying at home. more

We waited over an hour to be seated on a Friday evening, to be ignored for another twenty minutes until our server decided to take our drink orders. \r \r The food arrived overcooked and flavourless, and our server disappeared constantly. I understand they were very busy, however the lack of attention was unacceptable. We asked three times for water refills that never arrived, and when mentioning this to the waiter, he simply apologised and said he was very busy. \r \r Needless to say, this is definitely our fault for attempting to have a decent meal in Bayside. more

While in Miami for my birthday we went to Bayside Marketplace we saw Los Ranchos but was not to sure about it and kept going what a mistake because later on our trip we stopped in and loved it. The 2 for 1 price also helped us coming back. Very nice staff. Everything we had was very good. The tres leche also to die for. more

A Nicaraguan turist trap. The owners are in jail for tax evation and for not paying their employees a fair salary. The place is owned by the illegitimate sons of former dictator of Nicaragua Somoza. If you want to eat authentic go to El Guayacan you find better food at better prices! more

The wife and I used to drive from West Palm Beach to the Sawgrass Mall in Fort Lauderdale\r to eat steak at Los Ranchos at least once a month we loved it but that store closed when the mall remodeled. 10 years or so went by and we are now learning to navigate Miami (GPS) AND\r have found the same steak, same menu at\r Los Ranchos at Bayside. more

Great Steaks! 5/21/2006

My husband and I spend two days in Miami this year and we ended up eating at Los Ranchos twice because the food was so good! Try their churassco steak. It's what they're known for. It comes with several sauces, one being garlicky chimichurri (my favorite) and one being a sweet and tanngy Cuban marninara sauce that had bell peppers and onions in it. The rice and beans were very flavorful. Their plaintain chips were tasty, along with their fried plaintains. This was the best ""Cuban"" food that we had while visiting Florida. If we ever go to Miami again, we'll be sure to go back to Los Ranchos. more
