Everything Perfect 3/20/2010

All the staff was attentive, especially Henry our server. We had toasted ravioli, the steak specials (split with plenty of food), wine recommended (Palagetto Sotobosco), and the Italian Cream Cake. The sauce on the ravioli was awsome, the steak was tender and very flavorful, angelhair pasta and sauce perfect, dessert yummy.\r Atmosphere cozy and warm. Not a hurried place, made to feel at home. I don't usually write reviews but this one exceeded my expectations. \r Best kept secret in Houston.\r Dinner on 3-20-2010 Pros: Service, Price, and of course food was delicious more

Yummy 12/18/2008

We had a small holiday gathering on their patio. The food was amazing as always! The staff was very attentive. It was rather cold out and they made sure the heaters were up and running and were always making sure the temp was right. We eat at Lomonte's for lunch all the time, and always get the same great service. As far as one review below, we have quite a few veggies at the office and they always find something on the menu. Even one guy who can't have white flour, they have wheat. Ask and you shall receive at Lomonte's. That's why we always go back. Thanks Barbie! Pros: Great food, great people! Cons: parking lot more

La La Liscious 12/9/2008

I am so glad that (Pasta) Lomontes is here. I used to be taken there as a Secretary for one of the Oil Companys back in the mid-1990's. Lomontes used to serve this great baked catfish dish. Served at just the right temperature with just the right Italiano spice. \r \r The beef ravioli (Ravioli Dolce) is warm and hearty. Love the cheese garlic bread. Scrumptuous. Pros: Secluded, romantic ambience. Cons: Parking is minimal. Front door is not easy to find. more

St Louis in Houston!!! 5/3/2008

Born and raised in St Louis and this is truly a taste of home. Toasted Ravioli and salads that you can only find on the Hill!\r If you know Italian you will be at home at Pasta Lomonte with the rich and great taste of homemade dishes!\r The restaurant atmosphere is homey and warm and you get to relax while eating some of the best Italian food around. The staff are soooo friendly and really want to make your visit great! more

Love It! 3/18/2008

We've had romantic dinners and we've had family meals here. It's such a great atmosphere and the owner will bend over backward to please you. I can't tell you how many times we've eaten here and everything has been perfect. I love the shrimp scampi and the ravioli dolce, but everything is good. One time, we weren't impressed with the eggplant parmigiana and they eagerly made our dinner perfect for us. This is our favorite Italian place in Houston. more

Taste Bud Explosion 3/3/2008

WOW, If you've never been to Lomonte's, your missing out on a taste bud explosion. Driving around to become familiar with the surrounding area from our new home, my friend and I found Lomonte's nestled under old oak trees. We both decided to give Lomontes our business for dinner. When we walked through the doors we were immediatly greeted by smiles. The wine list was spectacular and the server was very helpful with both our entree choices as well as pairing our wine. My friend had the Beef Marsala and I had Scampi Lomonte....both were a ""Taste Bud Explosion"" . \r To all who have not experienced Lomontes....I encourage you to. Pros: Ambience, Service, Wine Menu choices Cons: parking more

Not a bad lunch 4/10/2007

I went here for the first time at lunch. The service was prompt and good, though not overly friendly. The patio atmosphere on this gorgeous day was great. I was not impressed with the food. The salads were ok, but covered in cheese and dressing. I wasn't offered the option of any other type of salad. I had salmon and vegetables, the former was covered in cream sauce and the latter in butter sauce. My companion had beef marsala and seemed happy with it. The prices were reasonable, though dinner could get much more expensive. I would go here again, but only if I was prepared to eat something fatty. Pros: atmosphere, price for italian Cons: so-so food more

Best Calamari in Town!!! 7/9/2006

What can I say about Pasta Lomonte's. I have been having parties here for 3 years with the company I work for and every single time my expectations are exceeded. Barbi is the perfect host with willing and pleasant waitstaff. I have to say the food is off the hook. Her calamari is by far the best I've ever had, and trust me I have had my share. The orange sauce (picante) is to die for and is good on everything. I love the homey atmosphere and the decorations are so tastefully done. The bar is romantic and comfortable. Pros: Ambiance, Parking, Waitstaff more

nice find 6/30/2003

THis place was decent. The calamari was done in a light batter with two kinds of sauces. The salad was very good. The veal and salmon dishes we ordered were kinda average. The Italian Cream Cake was awesome! more

prices are getting high. 3/2/2003

I remember when the lasagna was $6.99. I wish we could go back to that price:) more
