Linkhorn Bay

Terrible, stay away. This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. The A/C was out for two summers in a row; the maintenance department worked on it every week and could never get it to run for more than a few days at a time; it was often hotter in my apartment than it was outside. The part of the A/C unit that is inside is hanging in a closet above the hotter water heater; so when my A/C started dripping it shorted out the hot water heater causing it to catch on fire; luckily I was at home and able to put it out before it could cause any major damage. If you live on the first floor like I did then whenever someone else clogs up their plumbing it will cause a back-up into your apartment first. The dumpsters are almost always overflowing with trash. The outside lighting around my unit was almost always out; so if you get off work late at night have fun walking in the dark. And the girls in the office can't help you with anything. more

I lived at Linkhorn Bay for three years and loved it! The apartments are 8 blocks from the beach, less than a mile from the interstate entrance and extremely close to any shopping place you may need or desire!! It also is located on a beautiful lake which is part of the Chesapeake bay so you can fish!! I will say their is the occasional jet noise but that's a small price to pay when living in Virginia Beach! I also adored all the staff, they did their very best day in and day out to see that we were happy:)! more

I love it here! You can't ask for a better location and price. The grounds are beautiful and the office staff is very friendly. They are doing so many upgrades around here, you can tell that they really care about this place! more

Love my apartment and the area. The staff is very helpful and maintenance is very responsive. Close to the base so it's a convenient location too for military. more

\r I live at Linkhorn Bay and I personally think they are the best apartments near the oceanfront. Not only is it only 8 blocks from the beach, yesterday the Linkhorn Staff passed out ""breaskfast on the go"" as residents were going to work at 7 AM. Though there is the occasional jet noise, the location is awesome. Also, the staff is very understanding and willing to work with you as best they can. If you are looking to rent a place close to the beach with a community atmosphere this is your place:)! \r \r \r \r more

I have enjoyed my experience here at Linkhorn Bay. Usually only people say bad things when they have an unpleasant experience and not many people take the time to say the good things. I am happy to say that I have enjoyed my apartment and friends in the area and I would recommend this complex to anyone to wants to live in a well run community. more

I have lived at Linkhorn Bay Apartments in Virginia Beach. I can’t say enough about the staff and the apartment’s themselves. They are simple yet sweet. Everything you could want, Linkhorn Bay can provide. They offer great ammenitoesn with a larg waterfront that leads into the bay. Great fishing and crabbing. Any issues you may run into if any can be easily resolved by the knowledgeable and helpful leasing agents in the office. This is a great place to stay as a single bachelor or bachlorte all the way to a small family. Linkhorn bay offers it all ! more

i'm not sure why linkhorn is always getting a bad rap. when i lived here i enjoyed it. i loved the lakes and the fishing piers. i never got around to using the outdoor pool but the gym was cool. kim was very helpful when i had some maintenance issues in my apt. i only moved because of the jet noise more

Linkhorn Bay Apartments is a great place to live! Maintenance is always there to lend a helping hand and keeps you informed on what they are doing and why. Jayme (the manager) has been such a big help in the process of having to move 3 times due to different reasons; whether apartment related problems or personal reasons. They are very honest and have a lot of promotions throughout the year to help save you money! The outdoor pool is amazing and the new club house is going to be a huge hit. I have no complaints! more

The staff is inadequate, under-informed, and lacks experience. There were constant staffing changes and rotations which resulted in a lack of any one person that could intelligently respond to my questions/concerns. On numerous occasions it resulted in a loss of documentation and additional charges that were unnecessary. I felt as if my whole experience there was horrible and the worst mistake I could have made. The worst experience of my life!! Our apartment flooded 3 times in the first 2 months we lived there. There are cokroaches everywhere. My car got broken into. They lost rent checks. I seriously think this is one of the worst complexes I have ever seen and been to. Cons: Everything more
