A lovely and serene environment rich with wildlife, flora, and fauna. Many great photo opps, and tranquility. I even saw some birds who become somewhat pink from what they eat, so...

Great place 5/1/2006

I really enjoy going to this park for relaxation. I also enjoy going there to exercise. There one and a quarter mile loop is in great shape, and perfect for biking or running. I see a lot of people doing that, or walkng their dogs or kids. I really enjoy the peace and serenity. Noone has ever bothered me there, and I have not heard of any problems. I hope it can stay with all the development that is going on around here. more

Nice Park 3/29/2006

Lettuce Lake Park is a little piece of relaxation right near the hussle and bussle of the city. The park is really clean and I have never seen any litter. This is a fabulous place for a picnic or birthday party. Also they have a lovely playground for the little ones and lots of space to go biking or walking. This park is also free from the congestion you might find at other parks. more

A fun way to spend the day! 3/20/2006

Lettuce Lake Park has a lot to offer for families and individuals. The boardwalk is a great place to take a leisurely stroll and see some of Florida's wildlife up close. There's plenty of areas available for picnicking, so pack a lunch when you go. The park is really well kept--clean and natural. It's a pleasant stop for a hike or bike ride. There's always ample parking, even in the peak season. Given how large the park is, even at its busiest it never seems crowded. If you're looking for an affordable day out, full of activities and fun, I would highly recommend it. more

great family park 8/9/2005

This is my favorite family park to take my children for a walk or to play on the playgrounds. The best part is a boardwalk over the Hillsborough River. You can see a lot of wildlife and there is even a lookout to get a better view. I don't like to fish, but you often see people fishing along the boardwalk. more
