Great Deli and so much more. Wonderful selection, inviting atmosphere and they offer something else that is hard to find nowadays.... GOOD service! I've been there several times and EVERY time the owner came over to my table and asked how everything was. I'll you the same thing I told her, just wonderful! more

Leibman's is such a fun place to shop. They have items that aren't found many places. I love buying stocking stuffers there at Christmas. It is a wonderful place for lunch and we often take their chicken soup to sick friends. Ettienne Leibman is a very friendly presence in the store and makes everyone feel welcome. I heartily recommend shopping and eating there. more

LEIBMAN's is no ordinary deli. High standards are maintained because Mrs LEIBMAN speaks to all her clients personally, every time, thus receiving continual feedback. And the ultimate accolade: repeat customers. When you go, you are very likely going to find me there too at lunch-times, where I usually bring along friends, colleagues and guests. In addition, Mrs LEIBMAN probably showcases the largest selection of premium wines from South Africa to be found in Houston. Mrs LEIBMAN and her husband have visited all the vineyards whose wines they sell, and they personally know all the vineyard owners. They are always obliging with first hand advice, to help you to choose the right wine for your special occasion, even if it's just for lunch. And I will be going there again; see you there! George A. Best Food in Town 2/21/2011

All of their fine food in their deli is some of the best we have eaten since we moved here in 92. We have never gotten a bad meal here. We have purchased many other fine foods and gifts from here also, and have enjoyed all of them. This is definitely one of the best places in Houston. more

Delightful Experience 10/7/2009

Whether eating in or carrying out, Leibman's broad deli selection can't be matched. Over the years I've tried all the sandwiches. The Classy Club is easily the best in Houston. Pros: Always something new. Cons: Can't think of any. more

Lovely Surprise! 3/21/2009

A friend took us for lunch because she'd had lunch there the day before with her family and loved it. So did we. A surprise chicken salad made with tumeric and saffron was worth the drive out west and then some. Pros: Great Food Friendly Service Cons: Didn't experience any cons more

Fabulous Houston Deli 3/13/2009

Highly recommend Leibmans. My husband and I eat at Leibmans regularly. It's the best place for great sandwiches, salads, hot foods, desserts, cheeses, and wines. The egg salad (my favorite) and the Chicken Afrique salad (my husband's favorite) are outstanding. So many delicious choices. Leibmans also has a great selection of packaged foods and gifts. Best lunch spot 6/22/2008

This is my neighborhood, I am very familiar with all of the lunch spots. Leibmans is one of the best. I had a craving for their Rueben this afternoon so my husband kindly accommodated and off we went for the second time this week. This sandwich, like most at this restaurant, are too big to finish more than half! Pick a salad, any salad, they are all good. Don't want salad or sandwich, they have wonderful hot lunches as well. Then there are the desserts. The only thing I can say about those is, save room. There is something for everyone. There are dips, chips, and crackers enough to cater a party, wines and cheeses to accompany. It is one stop shopping for gifts and cards. Ettienne always stops by the table to see how things are. She knows how we love our wine and cheese, so she always has a little tidbit of something new to try. Very personalized service. You go girl! more

Never disappointed 4/6/2008

Leibman's is our family favorite for lunch on Sunday...if we lived closer I'd eat there every day. Great sandwiches (my favorite is the club, my wife's is the ETs knosher or the Andre's Avocado) and salads. Today we tried the Sunday Special (my wife ordered it and after finishing my club I fought her for it) and the lemon chicken breast was outstanding as was squash caserole. Ettiene's own recipe salad dressing (Honey Balsalmic) is really, really good and I'm not a salad guy. Worth the trip and well worth the price. more

Best Deli around 4/4/2008

I work close by and crave their food. When co-workers ask where we should go for lunch this place is always on my mind. This is the best deli for homemade soup, sandwiches (the Captain's Choice is superb) and desserts. They serve hearty portions and I try to leave room for dessert. It's a one stop shop for people who love good food and like the opportunity to shop for gifts or gourmet items while they prepare your meal. They also carry fantastic wines at a good price, a wonderful selection of cards, gifts and a huge selection of candy, coffee and gourmet chocolates. There is something for everyone here. Pros: Great ambience Cons: it can get very busy, but there is always a place to sit and eat more

A great Rueben sandwich! 4/3/2008

I have been to Liebman's several times and always had excellent food and service - including Ettienne stopping by to have a chat and make sure everything was perfect - she wants to ensure that everyone that comes in is completely satisifed. I was surprised at the review that someone had a bad Rueben - mine was fantastic and it's not the first time I have had one. I'm not saying they didn't, no one is perfect but mention it to Ettienne or one of her staff and they will always make it right. Okay, I paid $10 but that's what quality costs these days, in fact it is not uncommon to have a common hamburger that cost more than $10. I am more than happy to pay the price for a quality lunch. The ingredients really make the sandwich and I was more than satisifed. Well done Ettienne! more

Fabulous Houston Deli & Gift Shop - Highly Recommended! 10/9/2007

I have enjoyed Leibman's both for their business catering services and for their deli/gift shop and have been abundantly pleased with both experiences. The catering arrived on time and was perfect for a business lunch. The deli staff was friendly and quick, and the desserts were to die for. Also, the gift shop staff helped me sort through an expansive wine selection to find gifts for family and friends. I will definitely be visiting the store again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fabulous meal and great gifts! Worst Deli sandwiches ever! 7/11/2006

I live close by and wanted to get a good Deli sandwich and had a menu so I decided to order from Leibmans. I ordered the Reuben which was $10 and was told by the man working at the deli counter that it was the best Reuben he has ever had..and he was from New York. What a JOKE! Apparently they charge you according to the number of slices of bread, because there is almost NO meat on the sandwich at all!!! Did I mention it was $10? The other sandwich was one of their roast beef paninis and was almost as bad, but I only had to pay $8 for that one. Don't waste your money or your time with this place. more
