Digging Success 5/9/2012

While working for a friends landscrape company i was digging a hole to plant a rhodasomething when a( what seems like a lifetime) friend drives buy and says"" hey dave i picture u happier selling earth than getting it under your fingernails"". It's rare to say well done 11/9/2011

The Lee Institute thoroughly prepared me for the exam to get my real estate salesperson license, which I now have in my wallet. (The picture on it makes the picture on my driver's license look good.) The instructors really kept the class lively. The course book, while riddled with typos, is exhaustive and authoritative. There is a lot of information to cover in 40 hours, and the instructors managed to get it done efficiently and with elan. At no point did they sound like flight attendants explaining oxygen mask protocols. Classes were lively, and the process and ethics of the real estate business were well explained. more

Stellar Experience at Lee! 11/1/2011

I recently took my salesperson course at Lee Institute and was more than prepared to easily pass on the first try. The newly updated textbook had all of the information needed to study and I had all the confidence needed going into the state exam. The instructor I had was engaging, stayed on topic, yet provided insightful answers to any question posed by the students. You could depend on this seasoned real estate professional to not only teach you the dry more

Great School!! 10/30/2011

I just moved to Boston last June and needed my Real Estate Education to get my license. I heard of Lee Institute from my friend Kim who now is doing wonderful at a local real estate office near me. Lee Institute was extremely helpful to me. I was told by Rich at office i needed 40 hours to get to exam. He was so nice and the teachers are professionals. I have some English problems but they help guide me throught the course. They use a great book published by the Lee Institute. I would highly recommend the Lee Institute for your education. I feel very good about the exam. more

Easy as 123!!! I ""PASSED"" on my first try!! 10/28/2011

I highly recommend this school! I just moved to Boston and contacted Lee Institute to inquire about taking the Salesperson Course. I found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I had missed the first class and spoke to Rich, who I believe is the President and he returned my call within 10 minutes. He provided me with a course of action to make up the hours. Their instructors have years of experience and given the length of the course, they really kept it interesting with a hint of humor. I enrolled in their weekend course, which met on Saturday & Sunday for two weekends. When I felt the need for more help on some areas of the study material (like math) I took advantage of their on-line tutoring, which helped me tremendously. Thanks Lee Institute! more

stay away--will try anything to cheat you out of your money! 6/13/2011

My husband and I signed up to take a real estate salesperson's course over a weekend in February. We specifically selected that date because the course was being held in Plymouth, MA, just 20 minutes and an easy ride from our house. We showed up 15 minutes prior to course start time on Saturday morning, went into the hotel where it was supposed to be held, and asked at the front desk where to go, since there were no signs in the lobby indicating where the room was. They said they had no event for the Lee Institute scheduled at the hotel, and that someone had come in a few minutes earlier looking for the same class. We went back to the car and I called Rich, the guy in charge, on my cell phone. He picked up and said that the course was about to start--in Brookline. He said that due to low registration the Plymouth course had been moved to Brookline. The person we talked to said that we were welcome to drive to Brookline and join the class in progress....well, the state mandates 24 hours, and there was no way we were making it to Brookline from Plymouth in less than an hour and a half...then once we got there we'd have to try to figure out what was going on after missing the entire first 90 minutes? So we declined the offer. He said that we could call Monday about rescheduling or getting a refund. Monday morning I called. My husband and I decided to get a refund and take the course somewhere else--not wanting to chance a cancelled class again. When I requested that he refund us the $540 we'd spent for both of us to go, Rich asked if we had received any textbooks in the mail, and I said no, we'd only signed up for the class online on Thursday and nothing had been mailed to us. Again, I said I would like the money refunded to my credit card. He chose his words carefully as he said ""I will look into putting the money back on your card."" I had an inkling that we were in for a fight. We gave him 2 weeks and still, no refund. We contested the charge on our credit card and received confirmation from our card a few months later that the charges had been reversed. Now, over 3 months later, Rich leaves a voice mail on our phone saying he received a charge from our credit card company and he has no idea why we are trying to reverse the charges on a real estate course that we ALREADY COMPLETED!!! Now, I have to imagine if one completes a real estate course, something must be filed with the state from the school indicating that the individual is eligible to take the licensing exam...so obviously since we never even took the course, that never happened....so either Rich is pulling a fast one or Lee Institute has some sketchy record keeping and is compromising the legitimacy of the real estate licensing process. Either way, stay away from Lee Institute and find a legitimate business to deal with for your class! update: We disputed the charge on our credit card, and now Rich has supplied them with FORGED documents, including registration forms that somehow we filled out and signed, even though we NEVER went to the school or had any in person contact with ANYONE from Lee Institute. Absolutely unbelievable! Stay away from these criminals! more

He said that due to low registration the Plymouth course had been moved to Brookline, and that someone had left us a message about it. We did have a message on our land line about it--that was cut off about halfway through, and the part that was on our voicemail, didn't say that the course had been moved. We honestly thought that it was just a confirmation. So, Rich says that we are welcome to drive to Brookline and join the class in progress....well, the state mandates 24 hours, and there was no way we were making it to Brookline from Plymouth in less than an hour and a half...then once we got there we'd have to try to figure out what was going on after missing the entire first 90 minutes? GREAT SCHOOL 3/15/2011

This was a great learning experience for me. I took the Lee course in February 2011 and schedule the exam two weeks after and pass on the first try. I was completely amazed by the style technique instructed by the teacher. If you have any questions Joe is the man. I heard alot about Leon too. There were many realtors who told me that Leon is the teacher and to take it with him. Unfortunately i couldn't do the course on the weekend when he teaches and got Joe. He uses Power point and answer all questions. I enjoyed the time and now i am working and making money. Thanks to Lee more

Dated Materials and a Dirty Facility 8/26/2008

Dated materials and a dirty facility. I took my Real Estate Course (Sales person) at Lee Institute Brookline, three and a half years ago and recently took my Brokers Course. The books were the same one given to me three and a half years ago without any updates in either the general exam or the State specific questions. Referral fees and do not call procedures were some of the questions on my exam not covered at all in Lee's out dated materials. The handouts they provide are very old, some with mistakes, and references to older teaching manuals. The entire operation is stuck in a time warp. They can't even explain how the testing facility is updated, and some instructors even talk about brining money orders to pay for your testing fee. If you want to waste time, money, sit in a filthy classroom and be ill prepared for your salesperson or brokers exam than Lee is for you. more
