My new favorite salon! 5/1/2009

For anyone who has some gray to cover, pay attention: I went in with major gray roots showing and Jessica not only chose a color that I love, but applied it in such a way that as it's growing out, there's no root line! I'm amazed -- and couldn't be happier. I love the simple but hip environment, the friendliness of the entire staff, and the fact that, even though Lather is an upscale salon, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is far from pretentious. Jessica (creator of Lather Hair Salon) has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 7 years now. She is phenomenal. She is always up on the latest trends, cuts and innovations in hair design. Thanks to her people I meet think I'm 5-10 years younger than I am ;-). more

Awesome Experience 3/2/2009

I always know what to expect when I go to Lather. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful beyond expectations but they really have a talented group of stylists when it comes to great styling and color. I have never left the salon disappointed and the color is always awesome. Lather also makes you feel special because they care and want to do a great job. Lather Salon is the Best! 2/21/2009

When my Stylist of 15 years moved away, I was apprehensive about finding a new Stylist. A friend recommended Jessica at Lather Salon. At my appointment, Jessica made me completely at ease. She suggested a different cut and color. I was amazed at the difference! The cut perfectly framed my face and the color enhanced my skintone. I also had my eyebrows waxed (I had thought about it, but have never done), it was painless and quick. I love the way my hair and eyebrows look now! Since my positive experience with Jessica at Lather, my two sisters, two nieces, and two brothers-in-law are now clients. Thank you, Jessica! Great Colorist and an awesome Cut!! 2/7/2009

I came across Lather one night after the gym and randomly stopped in. My hair was in real bad shape and hadn't had a style for months. Thanks to Lauren my hair has never looked better! She took the time to find out exactly what i would like while keeping my daily routine and maintenance to a minimum. Lauren knew exactly what would look best with my skin tone and advised me what shades would last longest! She has made a loyal customer out of me (and my coworkers)! Pros: Affordable Pricing! Great Hours, Fun Atmosphere, Free Beverages. Cons: Didnt Want to Leave! more

Great Atmosphere! Cutest Decor! Great Haircut! 1/12/2009

Wasn't sure what to expect and the quaint atmosphere made me feel so comfortable. I usually am very picky about my haircut but I let Jessica cut it however she wanted and I loved it so much that I made an appointment for my sister the next day. She drove all the way from Charlotte to get her haircut at Lather Salon. I'm recommending Lather to everyone! Pros: Appointment was right on-time and they were open late! Two thumbs up!!! more

I love that they are open late because I have such a busy schedule. I also love the location. And of course I loved my haircut! I went in with an idea for a new cut after doing the same cut for a while, and Jessica created it so accurately I couldn't beleive it. I'd recommend Lather to anyone. more

First Time I didn't feel broke after leaving the salon! 12/29/2008

Jessica at Lather is awesome! She always does my Hair how i like it! Coming from NY it was hard to make a transition. I feel comfortable knowing that I will get what I want! The Salon is very Modern and clean. I reccomend getting treatments done to your hair in addition to cut & color, they have helped my dry hair! The best part is the price! Have fun, you will be a customer for life! Pros: Fast, on time service, Clean, Chic atmosphere Cons: Wish I could spend all day there! more

Great haircuts and color in upscale yet comfortable salon! 12/29/2008

I've been getting my hair done by Jessica for seven years and she always listens to what I want and when I don't know what I want, she makes great suggestions. I always leave the salon looking my best and she explains how to style my hair like she does on my own. She is down to earth, smart, professional, funny, extremely accommodating, and she is truly an expert. Her salon is very hip, but also comfortable. I've seen that all the stylists at Lather are also great! And Lather is conveniently located next to Carmax and Ben's Place off of Glenwood Avenue. Yes, it is possible to get great highlights without breaking the bank! Lather is an upscale salon, but affordable for everyone. Jessica did my hair and I wanted a lot of dimensions for the winter, so we did 4 blonde colors and it turned out great! The location is wonderful too, right off of hwy 70 by carmax! more

What a great find! 12/28/2008

I just recently went to Lather for a cut and color. My stylist Jessica got it exactly right! I usually leave salons wishing ""it were a little different"". I am super picky about my cuts and any color I have added. I can honestly say that I left fully satisfied. The salon was clean and very modern. I definitely didn't feel like I was in Raleigh. I've told my mom and all of my friends about Lather. I'm a customer for life! I highly recommend Lather to anyone wishing to find a permanent stylist.! Pros: modern atmosphere, awesome stylist, quick service Cons: not one! more

Beautiful highlights! 12/28/2008

I recently went to Lather Salon as a new customer and I was more than pleased with the color that Whitney gave me. I was a little apprehensive going to a new stylist but my highlights came out perfect! I will definitely be back as the salon atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. Pros: Ambience was great. Clean, modern decor. Professional stylists. more
