Slumlords 12/30/2009

Let's wrap this up in one word....Slumlords.........If I had this to do all over again, I would never have moved in. I have been here for 3 years, and to be honest, it is just getting worse. Initially the management (Stephanie or Stacey, I can't remember her name as she would avoid all issues) was nonexistent. Calls would go unanswered and visits to the office resulted in doors being closed in our faces. There was a 6 month time or so that an Amy worked there and she was professional and would attempt to help us. Now there is a Rochelle and Jennifer, and they are incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. Someone stated that they are dismissive, and that is a great adjective. They do not want to handle issues and will give you an attitude (no matter how polite and professional you are) when you ask a question or submit a work order. A letter I just wrote. Also crime here is high, cars get broken into all the time, and they once sent out a letter to all tenants asking us to help the police in any and all matters. The apartments are very nice, unfortunately that's about all I can say for it. Domestic violence is a big problem. You can usually hear couples fighting if you take your dog for a walk through the complex.\r The front office staff at The Landings is awful, dismissive, and extremely unhelpful. In one case they attempted to tack on $400 to my rent as a fee to sue myself for a $90 late charge. If that's your policy it goes against a number of regulations.\r When I went to the front office a woman named Rochelle was extremely inattentive, carrying on with her paperwork why I was talking to her. I resided at The Landings for 3 years, and while my family was fortunate enough to move into a completely remodeled apartment and I didn't have to worry much about repairs, the management office was unprofessional, had terrible bookkeeping, and if you ever put in a work order you could expect to have to resubmit, and wait for weeks on end. This afterall is the complex that owed so much money to the water department that they had to cut the water off to the whole complex and leave the residence without water. Avoid this place, your not missing a thing. more
