Expensive, blah food, and sticky store 2/11/2011

So a friend and I strolled into this place while wondering around Bellevue for lunch. The place has a lot of character as far as decoration, but it pretty much stops there. more

Home style Mexican food 11/1/2008

We ate dinner here and felt we were back in Mexico. The decor is very mexican and colorful - it kept our 5 year old well entertained. The food was simple and fairly light, the salsas were delicious. The burnt cream dessert was to die for. All in all, a simple cantina feel restaurant with authentic Mexican food. We will certainly go back. Pros: Authentic simple food more

Delicious food, excellent value 7/8/2008

Dinner for two last night, delicious and such gracious people. Very clean. Highly recommend the carnitas (anything) and the 1-x, which is a 3 taco plate (real tacos on small soft shell corn tortillas) with chicken/tomatoes/peppers - sort of a broth. Homemade salsas are just like Mexico. Pros: Delicious chicken and pork, homemage tortillas and salsa Cons: Not a fancy place, but not really a ""CON"" either more

Great and authentic Mexican 6/21/2008

I work with a lot of Mexicans, and they highly recommend this place for lunch. The place looks authentic like being right in Mexico, and the food is marvelous. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it. I ordered the chicken Tacquitos and was impressed with how much yummy chicken and veggies they threw in it. Definitely the only authentic Mexican joint on the Eastside. I now bring people from out of town there to get a taste of Mexico. Pros: Amazing food Cons: The help doesn't always speak English more

How do you say ""travesty"" in Spanish? 5/21/2008

From the outside, this restaurant was very appealing. Walking in, the tables and decorations and tiling all looked quite authentic. That's where my good experience ended. Pros: Honestly, I can't think of one Cons: Food is lousy, service is lousy, chips were stale, food was luke warm at best more

Bland and salty 7/28/2007

I've eaten at this place twice and both times were disappointing. Lunch was bland and expensive and the breakfast was watery and very salty. I really wanted to like this place but I can't recommend it. Pros: Ambience Cons: Food, prices more

Breakfast was extremely salty and pricey for what it was... 10/21/2006

While excited to see that they recently started to serve and ""Traditional Authentic Mexican Breakfast"" on Saturday mornings,we were completely disappointed and would not return to this place for breakfast again. more

Only Authentic Mexican on the Eastside 5/23/2003

With the exception the taco truck by the Sears in Redmond, this is the only good Mexican place on the Eastside. (Being from San Diego I consider myself an authority on this). There are no supliers of decent corn tortillas in the whole state so they make there own. The atmosphere reminds me of casual dining joints I've eaten at in Mexico. The food is as good as anything I can get in California. Pros: Homemade Tortillas Cons: Portions more

like sitting in a mexican cantina 8/13/2002

One word. Carnitas. The carnitas (pork) here are to die for. Some of the best and most authentic tacos in the Seattle area. Tamales; chicken, beef, and pork tacos; tostada salads are all excellent. The beans are whole-not mashed up-and are delicious. Hand made corn tortillas and homemade pico de galo complete the experience. Check out the license plate lamps and the antique metal folding beer tables. Outside patio is perfect for a sunny day lunch or a casual dinner date. Ideal for couples. Pros: Beans, Outdoor seating, Location-Old Bellevue Cons: Parking-Sometimes, No Margaritas more
