Kings Dining & Entertainment - Dedham

I've been here twice. Once when it first opened. Not a horrible experience if you don't mind it being super loud and very expensive drinks and appetizers. Went here a second time after having dinner with some friends nearby. It was about 10pm. I hadn't been drinking at all, and I was refused entrance because the doorman said i stumbled when I walked up to the door. So my friends bowled without me to celebrate my friend's birthday. I WILL NOT be returning to this place. Why don't YOU try walking perfectly in ladies shoes!! I also heard a story from someone else where they wouldn't admit a gentleman with cerebral palsy because he 'appeared to have been drinking'. jeez! seems i only hear bad things about this place and their staff. more

worst experience ever. I called in advance to plan a large corporate event. Was told I did not need to because it was slow the night we were coming in. Showed up and told we had to wait one hour to get on lanes. The private room I wanted to reserve was open and they wouldn't accommodate us. I had over 20 people there and we were planning on closing the place down and walking back to out hotel. They Told us we couldn't have the private room and that we had to wait. Then refused us any service. I w so upset I left with my group. I then realized I had given my credit card to the bar to start a tab and left with out it. I called the next morning and was told they didn't have it. I had to jump through hoops to get another card overnighted to me and cancel old one. Then I call to complain, I was told a high level manager would call me back. 10 minutes later I get a voicemail from them saying they have my credit card!!!!! Place is worst run establishment I have tried to do business. Who walks away from $2000.00 on a ""slow night""?! more

There isn't much to do in the suburbs except go out to a bar, which is fine, but it gets old. Kings has so much to do. It is an experience. Understandably, weekend nights are packed, but week nights are great to bowl, do some karaoke, and grab some food. They even have skee ball and shuffleboard. more

This place was absolutely unprofessional and ignorant.I wish this site would let me give them NO stars! My pregnant wife and I have not been out in months and decided to try Kings out since it wasnt a full bar attraction and we could have some fun. As we entered through the front door expecting to have a good night we came to the door man and gave him our identification. First i gave him mine, a Mass drivers license and a Military I.D. Next my pregnant wife handed him her Mass drivers license. He stared at it like it was made in a basement. He then askedd her for a second ID. She gave him her college ID. He said it was unexceptable and then said "" don't you have a debit card?"" Being a full time student she didnt have a bank account we used mine, which we told him. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. We waited about 20 minutes for him to come to the front door. The man looked at my wife and then looked at me and said "" Im sorry but it's house rules to ask who we want for a back up ID"", even though a sign on the wall right next to us said Mass drivers license was accepted with no back up. In my mind the men were either racist, like to discriminate against pregnant women( which a friend told me was the second pregnant women turned down that night), or had something against the military. I hope whoever reads my review changes thier mind about going there that night because i know myself all my friends will not be attending that place ever. more

Kings in Dedham is more like an experience wrapped into one fun night! We went for dinner in the restaurant (Never knew they had regular food) but we were BOWLED away by how good it was! I was with a large group and there was something for everyone. We shared a couple appetizers to start off like Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. I went for the grilled vegetable sandwich and loved every last bite. Our server was wonderful and polite and most important- efficient.They had retro cocktails and shakes on the menu. Cherry Vanilla Coke (Made with booze) for my husband and the ""Adult Snow Cone"" for me. Dessert was fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for the table! For a group of 30/40 something's, we appreciate the menu and the theme here.Bowling was a BLAST from the past! Old school music videos, retro decor and servers that keep coming and getting you drinks?!?! My kind of place! We played about 3 games and danced and laughed the whole time. My average is a 72 and the bowling computers make fun of you when you suck as bad as I do. The bowling area was clean and spacious. Never have I been to such a fancy place.\r Service was an A+\r Food was an A+\r Bowling was an A++\r I was skeptical coming in and didn't want to leave by the end. Coming back soon! \r more

Kings does it right! I only wish we had one where I live.We were staying across the road at the Holiday Inn and the suggested our group checks Kings out and we did. It was FANTASTIC! We did dinner (Food was SO GOOD), Bowling and stayed at the bar. The music was incredible and our server and the bartender were extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The food I got was the Ribs and steak tips and I was blown away. I kept asking myself if I was really in a bowling alley.The decor was so cool. Like a retro Vegas theme. The restaurant was warm and inviting with about 20 TV's.The bowling was totally awesome! The graphics were cool and the scoring system seemed high tech.The drinks were fun and well priced. I had a ""Gummy Bear Martini"" (Yes, it had real gummy bears in it!The rest of my group had a blast. We went back one more time (Just for drinks) the next night. I am trying to find out who to write to- to request they build one back home.This was honestly one of the best parts of my trip. I never write reviews, but Kings does it right. \r more
