Everyone was very attentive, caring, and respectful. The rehab and nursing teams are great! I give the thumbs up especially nurse Mary Lou.

Muy especial 3/29/2019

Los trabajadores en Kindred son todos muy especial. Han atendido a mi esposa y yo tan magnifico, bueno mas a ella que es paciente pero yo como visita, tambien me atienden bien. Queremos reconocer a la enfermera Elizabeth que nos toco varias veces. Que linda, amable, y muy buen trabajadora. Nos hizo sentir comodos y en buenas manos. Ninguna queja por nuestra parte. Gracias a todos en Kindred. more

On top of it 3/22/2019

Let’s face it, nobody wants to be stuck in a hospital but being at Kindred has made for a pleasant experience. I had some minor issues in the beginning but they had nothing to do with the care. It was too cold at night and my TV wasn’t working right but those issues were resolved quickly. The call light response time is EXCELLENT. In previous hospitals, I would be left on the bedside commode for over 40 minutes. Not at Kindred Hospital, I was surprised how quick the staff responded when I would buzz the call light for assistance. It has been a good experience overall. more

Can’t judge a book by its cover 3/15/2019

I was worried about going to Kindred because the building is older but the staff quickly made my worries disappear. My favorite nurse was Elizabeth. She provided me with the best care! Her personality is wonderful and she is very professional, extremely competent, caring and proficient. Curtiss was another favorite, he always seemed to anticipate my every need. It was nice to be taken care of so well by the staff at Kindred hospital. Thank you. more

A good experience 2/27/2019

I have enjoyed my stay at Kindred Hospital. There is nothing I have to complain about, they took good care of me. I was very comfortable in my own room and my wife is also happy with the care she saw that I received. I would recommend Kindred to others based on my own experience. more

Muy agradecidos 2/13/2019

Durante el tiempo que ha estado mi esposo en Kindred Hospital, no hemos tenido ninguna queja. El servicio es bueno, esta muy atendido, y estoy yo muy agradecida. Le dan sus medicamentos a tiempo y le traen su comida. El estaba muy contento cuando ya pudo empezar a comer. Los empleados nos han atendido a mi y mis hijos muy bien. Nos dejan dormer en una cama en el mismo cuarto. Eso para mi es muy importante, que tenga mi esposo a algien que conoce cercas. Eso le fortaleza para que se alivie. Fue dificil traelo a Kindred pero no me arrepiento. Gracias a todos. more

Pretty nice 2/8/2019

I knew someone who’s mother was at Kindred for about 3-4 weeks and she recommended it to me. I don’t ever get sick so I had no idea a hospital like this even existed. My experience has been pretty nice. Oh how I like the food the serve and they give me such big portions. I have to ask them to not serve me so much but they must want me to eat good. All the staff is real nice too. They take good care of me. I would recommend Kindred to others just as it was recommended to me. R. Caldwell more

Always there 2/6/2019

I would give all the stars possible to Kindred Hospital! They get a 10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend Kindred to any other person needing to transfer themselves or a family member. The staff has always been there for my husband. They have been very accommodating to me as well, allowing me a bed to sleep on so I don’t have to leave him alone. Anytime I have a question, it is answered and if a someone doesn’t know then they find someone who does know the answer. My husband and I have had a great experience. Thank you. -Mrs. Menjares more

Grateful for Kindred 12/31/2018

My stay at Kindred was exceptional. I appreciate the entire staff. They were all so nice to me when taking care of me, always coming in to check on me even when I didn’t need anything. Tim was wonderful. He would help me reposition and move around. I am thankful to have had such great people in charge of getting me better. It is very hard to be sick and in a hospital, away from home and what is familiar but the people at Kindred made me feel so welcome and assured me that I was in good hands. Kind Nurses 12/14/2018

I was a patient at Kindred 3 years ago and I liked it so much that I asked to come back this time around. My stay was quite good. It was even better than my first time. All the nurses are nice and kind, plus the food is very tasty! Thank you Kindred. S. Richardson more

3rd stay at Kindred 12/10/2018

This is my 3rd stay at Kindred and there’s a reason I keep coming back. When asked about how my experience has been I tell people, the walls are the same at every hospital but the difference is the staff. I don’t know how Kindred got a great group of people working together all at once. I would rate them a 10 out of 10 and recommend Kindred to others. All the staff is great. They are fun and joyful plus the food is excellent! My meals are always on time and the cafeteria goes out of their way to meet my food preferences. Courteous and professional 12/6/2018

To be honest, before going to Kindred, I heard bad things about it but I am glad I gave it a chance because it was nothing like I had heard. Sure, the building is a little old but once I got to the patient floors I saw the difference. The staff and care are 100% fine and I have no complaints in regards to how I was taken care of. The staff was friendly, courteous, professional, and they took good care of me. Plus the food was good! I would recommend Kindred to others looking for good care for themselves or their loved one. more

My experience at Kindred has been good. They helped me recover and now I get to go home. When I needed something, the staff was only a buzz away. If I had any concerns they were addressed quickly. I would recommend Kindred to anyone looking for extended care for themselves or a family member. more

Pleasant staff and a real good experience 11/14/2018

My stay at Kindred has been real good. All staff from each shift have been pleasant, from the nurses to the house keepers. I visit with everyone that comes into my room. I’ve gotten to know the nurses and aides so well and they are quick to help me with anything I needed. I like that I don’t have to share a room with anyone and the food is so much better than the hospital I was last in. The cafeteria is very accommodating, if I don’t like what is being served I always have a few other options to choose from and they even have a late night sandwich available for me upon request. They have all been great! more

Wound has healed! 10/8/2018

My mother came to Kindred from another facility where her wound had stopped healing, like it had hit a plateau. The care provided at Kindred helped her wound heal and she is now able to transfer and sit onto a wheelchair with minimal issues. She says her pain was managed well and she has no complaints about her stay at Kindred. She says the nurses would check on her to see if she needed to be changed and if she did, they would change her. Another plus is that they wake her to eat not like at the last facility where she would be asleep and nobody would wake her so she would miss meals. Definitely recommended 10/3/2018

I have been at Kindred for about 2 months and the care has been great. This is the nicest hospital I’ve been at and I have been at 5 different ones in San Antonio. I would definitely recommend this place to others. I have met so many very fine folks. Heather would come and check on me every single day and when I press the nurse button, someone always showed up. When I was at another hospital, I would press the button and someone would answer me through the speaker to see what I needed and they would take a while to come to my room. Here though, the nurse or assistant just show up when you call them. It is nice to know that they were always checking on me. R.Gregory more

So good to me. 9/21/2018

Kindred and the staff have been so good to me. I have been here for a long time and they have treated me so well. When I need something, I just press the call button and help comes right away. I am happy to be leaving soon but only because I’m going home! If not I would want to stay here. They have helped me get stronger and healthier. Wonderful people 9/19/2018

There are such wonderful people here at Kindred. I was fortunate to meet another patient who was going through therapy before I started. She was an inspiration and both her and the therapy staff were my motivation to get me into the therapy chair and work towards getting stronger. I was so excited the first time on the chair that I sat in it longer than I was supposed to! If it was up to me I would want to stay here and continue my therapy but of course that is up to my insurance. Thank you Kindred for everything you’re doing for me! C. Armstrong more

Happy with care 9/12/2018

I have been at Kindred for some time now and I am pleased with the care I have received. The staff responds quickly when I buzz the call light. Doctors and nurses explain the care plan to me and my wife gets updates from my case manager. She is the one that knows everything! I would recommend Kindred to others needing good care. more
