warm, caring, friendly easy going personal environment. 1/12/2012

My son absolutely loves it here. Every morning he smiles and wants to go to school. He opens the doors and runs inside. He can never get himself in fast enough. The staff is very personal friendly and caring. They appear to be busy . I am a very laid back easy going type of person and so is my son and so is this atmosphere. If you are uptight or not into a more laid back atmosphere this might not be for you. They are very structured here. I dont bug them a lot about what did they do? all these crazy stuff. I believe in trusting my sons care takers. But they do give out preschool sheets. If I ask the owner Melissa Fortner she will tell me exactly how my sons day is structured. I have stopped by and popped my head in around naptime and they are very clean there. My son always is sleeping at naptime. They always tell me how smart he is and how much he loves to eat. He comes home learning how to spell new words and new shapes and colors and he is only 3! I dont bother them everyday my mom owned a private daycare while I was growing up and I know what daycare is. I dont go over the top and expect crazy expectations as long as my son is happy I am happy and I dont care to ask them what they do every day. I know I can call them when my son is tired and they will respond with great care and understanding. They will look after him. Yes they did recently change the preschool teacher but she has been doing a good job and the one before her did as well. I know every day there is not going to be 100 % perfect. Based on the different personalities of the children. But my son is always always always very happy to go there. there has only been 3 times in the last 2 yrs that my son has cried and didnt want to go and he goes every day except friday, saturday, sunday. He loves to go. He is always happy to see me when I pick him up. They are doing the best that they can there and they always strive to make it better and I believe that the y do take care of the kids there and that they are happy. I am sure that they are always trying to improve their staff. I hope that less roudy kids will be there in the future as my son is very calm smart and laid back and he needs other kids who are the same. Anyway I have been very pleased and happy with kids stay n play and Dylan loves it there! I feel good when I drop him off. Of course its only natural any mom to have her days feeling insecure thats normal and not to be blamed on the facility. If I call them with a concern they are always so friendly and so nice and understanding and they always willing to work with me and explain my questions. I am not a pushy bossy or overly demanding person. Like I said before my son is happy and loves to go and smiles everytime we go there. I dont ask all the time what did you do? all this crap. But if I do I get results and answers. So if you are a trusting laid back personality and you have a good kid then this place is good. I noticed babies crying once upon a time too. But I also realized that that one particular baby was an older baby and he was extremely spoiled he always needed to be carried around and sitting on somebodys hip! Well I am sorry to tell you this but thats just unrealistic to expect daycare providers when they have so much to take care of to carry around this baby all day long and never put him down. So people need to open their eyes and relax and slow down because if your child is happy thats all that matters if your child is not happy then find somewhere else where maybe their personality is more strong there. more

Wow - Amazing Facility 9/24/2010

I have been using Kids Stay-n-Play in Roswell for years. It is a safe, clean and fun environment for my children. The teachers are loving, caring and kind. My children learned so much each time they were there. They love going to Stay-n-Play! I highly recommend this facility. I have always used it as a ""drop-in child care facility"" but they also have full time programs which my children join together with while they are there. The extended hours are amazing. more

No longer a good place to leave your kids 7/28/2010

I've used this Center for quite some time, but recently I've observed behaviors that I find troubling. I think the concept of an after hours child care center is great, but at a minimum it requires the management by individuals with experience working with children - not just someone that looks good at the front desk. The staff currently working at the Center are sorely inexperienced in classroom structure and organization and rely heavily on parents to control what goes on in the classroom. When the behavior at homes vastly differs from the behavior at any Center, the problem is most likely the Center! If you take your child to this Center, maintain strong daily communication with your children to understand what really goes on there each day. Don't depend on the staff to let you know! Pros: great location and affordable Cons: not a positive environment for kids more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! 5/9/2010

I was always a little skeptical of this place, but when I got in a pinch and needed a babysitter one Saturday night for a work event I had to attend I thought I would give it a try. After all, my child was 6 ? and he could tell me if something was went wrong. So I dropped him off on Saturday night at 5pm and picked him up at 9pm. When we got home that evening I noticed that he had paint splatters all over the back of his shirt. He did not have 1 drop on the front of his shirt. I washed the shirt the next day only to learn that it was not washable paint. When I asked how he got paint on his back, he told me that the other kids were flicking their brushes at him and the teachers would not stop it. Obviously he is not making this up as I have never known a child who could actually paint the BACK of their shirt. When I asked if he got to play the Wii, he told me that he was not allowed to play it a whole lot because the teachers were mopping the floor and they had to wait for it to dry and then they had to stay off of it to keep it clean. What??? I am sending my child for you to entertain, not to perform your cleaning tasks that you are supposed to do AFTER all of the kids go home. Further, to tell my child he can?t play a game because you have to keep the floor clean is ridiculous. Although nothing was THAT bad, it was all annoying and unprofessional. When I tried to reach a Manager (Kathy) or Owner (Robin) that is when the real problems began. They dodged every phone call. They are VERY SHADY and unethical. I would never leave my child there again and I think if you are looking for a place for your child, skip this place. Especially if your child is not old enough to REALLY tell you what is going on. Cons: Care More About Your Money Than Your Child more

Hope to see improvements 7/24/2009

We had a situation where we required immediate care until we located a day care for a fulltime basis. I took my son here for 4 consecutive days. The care givers were never aware of if my child ate or not or any details of his stay on that day. The facility does not seem well cared for and appears dirty. Most of the staff were not involved with the children and just stood there while some of them cried. I did observe one of the staff conducting an organized coloring time which was nice in comparison to the kids just running around. I had planned to use this facility for 2 more weeks however the last time I went to pick up my child I could hear him crying from the front desk. No one paid any attention to him for a good 5 minutes. In addition, they were unaware if he had ate dinner or not. Lastly I there were about 10 insect bites on him. I realize these could have come from outside or in side the location but with all of my other concerns it was enough to stop taking him there. I do think the concept of stay n play is great but which they were selling a better service. I hope they make an investment in improving the care, the facility and getting high marks on state visits. Pros: Convenient for last minute Cons: Not maintained, disinterested staff, no record of stay more

great place for childcare 5/25/2009

My child had a great time at the roswell location and it was his first time ever in a child care facility. When I came ti pick him up he did not want to leave. We will be back again. I recommend this facility to any and all parents Pros: all Cons: non more

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid 4/24/2009

I used this service for drop off only. My husband and I visited the site before we considered placing our 12 month old in their care. We wanted to use them for nights or weekends out by ourselves. I gave them a try by using them for an outing during the day. When I arrived, I heard my daughter crying from the front door. I provided her with a snack along with some juice. Once I returned, she finished her snack I provided, however they refilled her bottle with red Hi-C juice and gave her Vanilla Wafer crackers. Also, the setup is just not conducive for children. Although there are bright colors, it always looks dark and filthy. At my daughters last daycare, the children looked happy and well care for. The children here looked spent and uninvolved with any activities. There were infants in the same room with bigger toddlers. There were runny noses and no one was attending to this. Opt to find a babysitter you trust, a family friend, etc to watch your child for several hours. Also, they charge the same price for the daycare I previously sent my daughter to which was top notch. What are they thinking? This is a grungy place. Don't even think of considering this place for permanent daycare. Look into Primrose, The Goddard School, Suzuki (if you can afford them), Sunshine House, etc. Do you see a pattern? Quality. This goes for the Kids Stay N Play at Lawrenceville too. Even more horrible. I haven't been to the other location, but I assume they're all run the same. Pros: Drop off service Cons: ratio & no clear separation of age groups more

avoid this daycare 5/17/2007

I do not recommend this daycare to anyone. Only good thing what they have is the price. They have bad communication with the parents. If you ask what is your child doing today they cannot answer you. They have overload rooms, and ratio problems. One times a saw room without teacher, only the kids where in the room. more
