I took my rover for transmission problems. They charged me three hours for diagnosis!! I thought they knew how to work on these cars! Guess not. $1100 dollars later I still had to...

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/30/2013

After having being treated like crap and over charged at the dealership, I was referred to Kensington by the Sin City Mini Club. For the same repairs the dealership told me that I needed, the prices that they gave me were way cheaper and their customer service can't be touched by the dealer. Won't be taking my Cooper any where else while I own the car. more

Dishonest!!! When confronted with problem of clutch replacement. There is a terrible chatter on take off. Originally I went in asking for OEM Mini parts and they highly suggested aftermarket high performance clutch. When I called complaining of excessive clutch chatter, they drove the car then claimed to be very busy and asked if I could give them a couple of weeks Upon calling back they claimed that they contacted Manufacture and this was normal for this clutch. Even worse claimed that I was the one who suggested this brand installed in my vehicle. This was absolutely false, I had never even heard of the brand before visiting them. They acted as if it was my fault and not their problem. They act like your friend as long as they are sucking your bank account dry. I have a right to FAIR RESOLUTION ( NRS 597 490). I have never sued anyone before now, I am an honest man and only expect fair treatment. I don't know of anyone who would say otherwise. more

I took my rover for transmission problems. They charged me three hours for diagnosis!! I thought they knew how to work on these cars! Guess not. $1100 dollars later I still had to tow my car away! Will never take it there again. They are RIPP OFF artist., not mechanics. Be carefull! Don't fall for the british accent. more

Fixed the dealer's mistakes 5/24/2011

I took my car to the dealer for repair (read my review of Desert Mini) and my car was in worse shape than when I took it in after paying them almost $1,000. I was not in the best of moods when I went to Kensington, but that would soon change. The technician had a good idea of my problem just from the verbal description (the dealership couldn't figure it out in three days), and I scheduled an appointment for the repair (had to wait on a couple of parts to come in). more

My car runs like new again! 7/7/2010

I can't say enough how happy I have going to a honest, knowlegeable car repair bussiness.I have been going to KMC for the past couple of years that I have been in Las Vegas. The entire staff in great!!! It's a pleasure to ask any question that may have about my repairs. They do honestly care about their customers. A dying trait among the industry. more

The Only Place to Take Your Land Rover/Mini Cooper/Jaguar 5/19/2010

I've been taking my Land Rover, and now Mini Cooper to Bill for years now! He's always given me the best prices in town, and anytime I've ever had a question, he goes above and beyond to explain and or show me what is wrong with my car. As long as I own a Land Rover and or Mini Cooper, Bill at KMC will be the only shop that I will take it to.? Pros: Expertise, Price, & Service more

Dishonest Service 3/18/2010

I took my Mini to Kensington Motors in Las Vegas because of the reviews. I specifically told them to quote me for the strut on the R side of my mini, which DesertMini had quoted me at $ 486.00. Kensington without my approval did a full inspection. Then I was presented with an estimate for $ 2,700 dollars. Kensington Motors found over $ 2,200.00 dollars of unnecessary repairs to my Mini. I took this estimate back to the dealer and the mechanic came to us and physically pointed at all the parts that were supposedly in need of repairs. We were then informed that none of these repairs were required. I was shocked that the estimate was so high and that they had taken it upon themselves to do this inspection. I was also shocked that my best remedy was the dealer. DesertMini was beyond honest. They seemed to truly be upset that we thought they missed all of these problems. Trying to screw the working men in this economic times is the lowest form of dishonesty. Fran Raimond Cons: Charging for unnecessary work more
