I took my car to Kenny Hill to check on an oil leak and a couple of strange rattles. Kenny and his team found what they believe was the rattle and repaired that, and replaced the cars valve gaskets which were the cause of the oil leak.\r more

I would like to thank Kenny Hill's Auto Werks for being honest in addressing all the problems with my vehicle. There were problems I did not know about and Kenny Hill took the time to explain in detail each problem, cost and time to prepare. I love this shop. The most important thing you all need to know, is that I would highly recommend my family and friends to this auto shop because they take time to ensure you understand what needs to be fixed on your vehicle. Thanks Mr. Hill. more

Untrustworthy. Thay said I needed all new brake system when all I needed was pads $35 and easy to do my self. They wanted $100 to replace my cabin filter. Again a $10 part and two screws. Easy fix. They are crooks. With VW gas engines use AustinVeedub. With VW TDI's use Robbie Plenge. more

KH has done well for my Golf 11/13/2010

I've been having Kenny Hill's Autowerks do prescribed maintenance and occasional repairs on my Golf since it was new (2002). Their prices seem comparable to what the Honda dealer charged for my wife's Civic, the work has nearly always been finished on time, and I've never had to have a repair redone.\r \r The only problems are pretty trivial: After maintenance the tires are always overinflated by 10 psi, and the oil level is above the dipstick's upper mark. The tire pressure is easily adjusted, but according to the owner's manual excess oil can damage the catalytic converter, and removing it is a pain.\r more

Rip Off and Dishonest 9/2/2010

We have been using Kenny's for about 3 years now. We knew they were more expensive than other places, but we felt like we could really trust them. Well, our luck has changed. We brought it in for a leak that was making the engine smoke. They replaced the ""cam chain tensioner seals, cam bore plugs & valve cover gaskets"" for a pretty penney ($908.71) and had the car for 4 days! Well, when we got it back, the original problem was fixed, but we now had a new problem. There is now a noise that is occurring in the front of the car. I actually had to pull over on the side of the road because it sounded like my tire was about to come off. We took the car back in and Kenny claimed he did not hear the noise. LONG story short, the problem was not fixed and we are now going to take it somewhere else so it will get fixed. We can no longer trust Kenny Hill and will not recommend his shop nor go there again. more

Buyer Beware! 12/4/2009

I have used Kenny Hill for 3 years, and I wish I had trusted my instincts earlier. I took my car to this shop for a pre-purchase inspection. They found $500 worth of repairs to be done, and I was able to re-negotiate the purchase price of the car. There was an oil leak that the shop missed, and when I took the car in a month later to have it fixed, they found another $500 worth of repairs to be made independent of the leak. I complained that they should have found these repairs during the initial inspection and I could have negotiated that into the price, but this is how this shop operates. If you bring your car in for a simple repair, the shop does not make the repair. They will instead find $500 worth of work that they insist you need. When you bring the car back in a couple of weeks to have them make that initial repair, they will find another $500 worth of repairs to make. I had my doubts about this place, but thought I might be being paranoid. The final straw was a couple of weeks ago when I brought the car in for an oil change. They told me I needed a left motor mount and a valve cover gasket, and they would do it for me for a mere $1,129. As I have saved all paperwork for my repairs at this shop, I was able to show them that they had recommended AND PERFORMED these exact repairs on the same day barely 9,000 miles ago. The same parts failing prematurely and simultaneously? Coincidence? No. These guys are crooks, and they are not even good crooks, but sloppy insult-your-intelligence crooks. My stack of bills from these guys always begin with a sentence like ""A.C. belt still squeaks"", and then ends with a sentence like, ""$713. Paid in full. Mastercharge."" At least fix the real problem when you rob someone, and maybe make a note in the computer so that you don't rob them for the same thing over and over again. Pros: clean shop Cons: These guys are crooks more
