Worst

We were looking for a nice sushi 'place' and the concierge from the JW Marrio told us about Kaz. It was 20 minutes walk but it was more than worth it. We enjoyed a lot!!!

My favorite sushi place! Try the tuna with foie gras and seared salmon belly-heaven! I crave the calamari ""pasta"" with uni and quail egg that is usually on the daily specials. I've also had delicious sablefish, and different types of toro. Order off of the daily specials menu for really fresh and delicious fish. more

I don't really eat sushi a lot, I went here for a birthday dinner and all I know is that I'm in love with the mexican roll! Its yummy and spicy! If you don't eat sushi at all and want to take a try I def recommend the mexican roll to start with! The restaurant is nice and cozy. more

If you like sea food like I do this is the best top notch Japanese sea food restaurant! They are awesome, the food is spectacularly good! I recommend Kaz sushi to anyone! more

Kaz is amazing! Loved the brussel sprouts and the spicy edamame. As far as the sushi was concerned, my favorite was the blue crab. I will definitely come back. more

We had a fabulous dinner at Kaz's. The chef's ability to bring the fish and shellfish to a higher level is skill we certainly appreciate. This evenings specials, expertly paced, seemed to amplify what nature provided; the simplicity of the Aji, the rice like tiny pearls, carpaccio of flounder with respect to the product, also evident in the sea scallop preparation, the combination in the Birds Nest sublime and seriously creative and whimsical yet pure. more

I have been frequenting Kaz for 5 years during the school year and will continue to do so as long as I am in Washington. Kaz delivers consistently quality seafood, which is important. I generally order Sushi (maki, nigiri, sashimi), but have enjoyed around 80% of the items on the menu. The food is consistent and delicious (top quality for DC, a notch above everything nearby). I had a waitress recently take the cost of an item I ordered and didn't like (and took only one bite of) remove the item from the bill without having to say anything. Not only did I leave a higher tip, but I left with great fondness for Kaz. more

I finally got myself out of my ordinary 5/23/2012

I finally got myself out of my ordinary selection from the menu last week and ordered Ramen at lunch time. It was really tasteful with miso. I really appreciated the egg, big sheet of sea weed, roast pork that came in the bowl. Another great thing is that it comes with a nice green salad before the Ramen. more

The meal was exceptional. We ordered some sushi rolls and then opted to split the Chef's choice 10 piece sushi entree. The chef's selections were not only very tasty, but the attention to detail with each sushi piece added subtle flavors to really make the meal wonderful. more

Excellent nigiri and maki. We would return for that. The non- sushi dishes were merely good, with the exception of the sablefish liver, which truly was foie gras like. I'd return solely for that. more

It is the best sushi in DC. You cannot order poorly -- but if you want the best...go with the chefs suggestions. Wonder if the decor will ever be as great as the food? Does it even matter? more

Prompt service, extensive menu. Delicious food and drink selection. Very easy to get to from Farragut West or North Metro stations, with ample street parking at the time we dined. more
