Oh No! Kaminski is closed. 3/7/2019

Just stppoed by Kaminski and found them permanently closed, Oh No!... Carol Kaminski helped to get me through my husband’s death. She put a ring guard on my husband’s ring so I could wear it without losing it. But most of all, she and 2 young women at the counter were as kind as can be to me. Carol can be HilariouS, and she even got me to laugh through my tears. I will sorely miss Carol and her store. God bless you, Carol. more

Like a leper 11/13/2009

My wife and I took some of my late mother-in-law's jewelry in to get repaired. They work they did was adequate, but it was late! Guess their estimated times are just to get you to commit, then they take their sweet time. And while I won't say they are rude, they certainly are cold. It's like you owe THEM a debt of gratitude for talking to you. Would not go back. more

Sweet experience 6/4/2009

Kaminski's was the second store that I walked into. I found an engagement ring that I loved for what seemed to be a great value but I felt like I should shop around. I went to 22 different stores over 3 weeks and ended up going back to Kaminski. There I found the best quality ring for the best price. The sales people were friendly and remembered me when I walked in. I will definitely go back to them when buying my wedding bands and I already sent my brother-in-law in to get something for my sister. I'm really satisfied. more

Kaminski's.....worthless repairs!!!!!! 2/24/2008

I brought them my 5th anniv ring to have a diamond replaced. They quoted me $90 so I went ahead and did it. They said 7-10 days. It was 11. The repair last 28 hours! The same diamond fell out! Now I have to go back in and fight it and from the reviews I am reading......I can tell it will be fruitless!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!! Jody from Woodstock, GA more

Shame On You 12/4/2007

The TV commercial with a silly woman surrounded by, among others, a grungy looking rabbi holding a Chanukah menorah, is insulting. Chanukah is a festival during which children are given small gifts on every one of the eight days. It is inappropriate to portray a rabbi as a shill to promote this holiday for commercial purposes. more

"Always a good experience" 11/30/2007

I'm a chiropractor in Florida. Grew up in Marietta and graduated from life College. I was recently back in town and brought a beautiful pair of 2 carat diamond earrings for my wife from Kaminski Jewelry. I always come back and shop at Kaminki’s. What a great place, super discounted prices and large inventory (Kaminski's has better deals then in South Florida) Before I started this review, I saw there were a couple of unhappy reviews posted. I was very surprised. Kaminski's is a fun place without no pressure to buy. After reading them, I noticed these people were unhappy because they were trying to sell their jewelry to Kaminski's. Curious about this, I called Kaminski's, Carol Kaminski the owner answered the phone (She's the lady on the commercials). I've known Carol since I was a teenage. She explained to me, that they are not a pawn shop, they do not loan money on jewelry. She said, they started buying old gold and diamonds from their customers as a service. The price of gold has doubled on the world market and many of their customer's€™s had old jewelry and diamonds that was just laying around in dresser draws at home. Buying this old jewelry is helping customers to raise need money or to buy new current white gold styles. The problem they sometimes face is when people bring in jewelry to sell that they originally paid to much for or the quality is very poor. Carol explained, some people get very upset when we have to tell them that the value they thought they had is not there. She reminded me of the old saying "Please don't shoot the messenger's". She also said that, almost all of the jewelry we take in is melted down and not resold in the store. So the people have to understand, that the values are at scrap prices and not at the price they purchased the items for. Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know, Carol Kaminski is the coolest lady I know and Kaminski's is a great place to shop . PS: They had a huge selection of diamond stud earrings. Rude & Tactless 11/16/2007

I came to this site a few days ago & read the reviews but decided to give Kaminski a try despite the negative feedback. I have a moissanite ring that I was considering trading or selling and since I had been told that Kaminski sold moissanite, I went to them. Now Kaminski will sell you a carat equivalent moissanite stone for $1000 + dollars but when I went in today to discuss trading / selling, the tactless associate dismissed me with her rude comment that she would never put a moissanite stone in her jewelry case since they were merely a step above a CZ. Funny how they will charge you such a high price for something that they seem so disgusted by later! After leaving I decided to call back & speak to the owner. This company has been around for a long time so I wondered if the owner is aware of how tactless the associates are to the customers and the feedback that is being provided on the web. When I offered this information (and I was initially being very polite), I was informed that the negative feedback was just "jealous" people and as for the associate's rude comment well the owner pretty much agreed with the statement. Needless to say I will never set foot back in Kaminski unless it's to celebrate a going out of business sale!!! =-) more

The worst jeweler in the Atlanta Area 11/11/2007

I will never step foot into that so called place of business again. My husband wanted to have a special ring created for me to include my birthstone, that of our children's and his own. We went in, gave them an in-depth drawing of the design we wanted, gemstone placement, size of each stone, ect. We even took in one of my husbands fathers rings - a white gold college ring - that we wanted melted down to use the gold for since his father had passed away before we were wed and he wanted to pass it on to me in a very special way. They said they could do it, so we placed a deposit down, left his fathers ring in their care and were told to come back a couple of weeks later to check on the progress. We needed the ring by April 13th, our anniversary - and we originally went into the store in October the year before. Giving them 6 months to complete the ring. After being put off for months, saying that there was a problem with the jeweler we got a call saying it just needed final approval before the stones were placed into the ring - the day it was due! They said they could set the stones right there and have it complete for us on time. We go in and it was horrible!!!!!!!!!! The ring was not made out of the gold from his fathers ring, in fact it was in yellow gold, the design was all wrong, everything that could have gone wrong had. I walked out in tears. My husband stayed in there, talking to them and they were rude as hell to him. Telling him they needed more time, it would take at least another month!! He demanded a refund for the down payment and they REFUSED!!!!! Said they would only give store credit even though it was all their fault and we had been in there tons of times to try to get updates on the ring, called them constantly. everything and they still screwed up. It took calling a lawyer and a business associate of ours that knew the owners personally to get a refund of our deposit and his fathers ring back. Once again, I will never set foot back in there and have no idea how they are able to stay in business to this day.... more

Unproffesional Youngsters 9/12/2007

I went to this store to see if they could identify some gemstones that I had gotten in a loose parcel. They said "they would try"...When I got there I was greeted warmly, but then sent to a girl that couldn't be older than 25 in a t-shirt with a tatoo on her arm. She looked at my gems and asked me if I actually paid money for them because they were "really beat up". She assumed that they were blue topaz, not using any equipment other than her loupe. The other girl there was probably about the same age and didn't seem like she had the courage to speak up...Don't ever go there. Not worth the time or the gas. more

DO NOT EXPECT HONESTY AT KAMINISKI 4/17/2007

Having done business with Kaminski over the years, I can say with all honesty that it is a store full of crooks and dishonest folk. The "buyers" there are beyond rude (one young blond girl in particular needs to be fired for her jerky attitude and obvious attempt to try to fool me with the qualify of what I had). I have watched the two of the sales staff (man and young woman) laugh over taking advantage of another customer. I would not recommend them to ANYONE and actually encourage people to go someplace else! Kaminski is where to go if you want ripped off, over charged and cheated. more

Kaminski Jewelry - Don't even go there! 2/16/2006

I went to Kaminski Jewelers 2 days ago to possibly sell a 7 carat soltaire diamond. Unbelievably, the guy asked me how much I paid for it. Even worse, he got pissed off when I would not divulge that information and even had the NERVE to dismiss me while looking at my diamond as though it were a lump of coal. He said he was trying to do ME a favor by entertaining the idea to even purchase it. Can you friggin' believe that?! Let me tell you....I grew up in East Cobb and know tons of folks. I will NOT be quiet about this horrible experience. BTW - my ring is certified by GIA for $90,600.00. I don't think they could AFFORD to buy it. more

NOT what it used to be 8/20/2005

Kaminski Jewelers is not the shop it used to be oh so many years ago. I liked it better before they became so self impressed. I cannort stand shops that I go into and the help acts as if you are beneath them. I am the customer, you are waiting on me. Kaminski's unfortunately has fallen into this terrible category. We used to get all of our jewelry in there and now I wouldn't even go in there. Prices have gotten outrageous also. Parking is pretty awful also. more
