All about the money.... 4/16/2012

The visit was somewhat pleasant but clearly this is because they know that they are going to "upsell" you services rather than provide basic necessities. Pros: null Cons: null more

Good but could be better! 8/17/2011

When I called this office to make an appointment I was very uneasy. The person who picked up the phone had a very heavy accent and didn't know much about Insurance. She keep asking someone else. Never the less I made the appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by a very nice receptionist. she welcomed me in the office and made me feel good. My visit was professional and informative. I had some questions about my wisdom teeth (which the Dr. Recommended I have removed). I was told to speak with the Insurance geek. This girl knew her stuff!! she answered every last question and was very pleasant. She knew tons of Information on Insurance and helped me understand everything from A-Z regarding the Surgical visit I had scheduled. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of interuptions I experienced speaking with this girl. Everyone was asking her questions like she was the only one who worked there. Overall I had a great experience at this office. even though I don't know "Insurance Geek's" name, I appreciate all the time she spent with me. more

A RIP OFF!!!!!! 7/13/2010

Do not go to this dentist. They will over charge you for services that you can get done for half the cost. They are a rip off and I felt like I was being ganged up on by sales representatives instead of concerned Dental Health practitioners. They were very insulting and used sales tactics to try to convince me that I needed this expensive deep cleaning procedure done - that was not covered by my insurance. They refused to do the regular cleaning- saying that it would only polish my teeth and not clean it. They said it had no benefit otherwise. I was not convinced because of the outrageous cost and the many procedures that were not covered by my insurance. I got a second opinion from another dentist- who did a through regular cleaning and the deep cleaning for a quarter of the cost that Jupiter Dental Group had estimated and most of the procedure was indeed covered by my insurance. GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST OR GET A SECOND OPINION- They just want your money and they don't care how they have more

Physician 4/21/2010

I am in the medical field and is really scare when outside there are many dentists that are not diagnosing periodontal disease just to keep the patients on the office and still get money from insurance even when they are underdiagnosing what is called Gum Infection in the population.\r Gum Disease has a lot of conection with systemic diseases as the report for the american academy of physicians (MD).\r Just for insurance reason I had to change my dentist; and I picked Jupiter dental group as a new patient I was feeling very impressed with the service and with all the information provided to me. My gums always bleed and the previous dentist never treated them the way should be even going to him every 6 months, now I do not have bad breath and my gums are healthy with not disease.\r Thank you Jupiter dental group for such a nice experience. more

I was coerced, and ripped off! 3/24/2010

I have always had great oral health, no history of dental problems, in fact my husband jokes about my obsessiveness with oral hygiene, Yet, last month on my first visit to Jupiter Dental Group, following extensive x-rays, the dental hygienist informed me I had early stages of periodontal disease by the gums of four teeth. Of course I was alarmed and signed the documents she said I had to sign. However, during the procedure she said that only one was indeed affected. The procedure she called 'scaling' did not feel at all different from any other teeth cleaning I had undergone, and the so-called numbing liquid felt like placebo. I did more research on scaling and what she did does not at all fit the description. I feel utterly ripped off, and abused. Please go elsewhere for treatment. These people cannot be trusted. more

Find Another Dentist! 3/11/2010

Was told they were participating providers with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, then (while in the dental chair) had me sign an agreement that I would pay all out of pocket expenses. Blue Cross covered $50 of the $1500 they charged for teeth cleaning. They are crooks. Please complain to the American Dental Association for the benefit of your fellow citizens if you have had a similar experienced with this office. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/Mqa/ more

GREAT DOCTOR/STAFF 3/4/2010

My experience at Jupiter Dental Group was very good. Everyone from the Doctor to the staff members treated me and my husband with kindness and respect. I left understanding my treatment as well as my fee's. I have reccomended this practice to my co-workers and they ALL feel the same way I do. Keep up the good work Jupiter Dental Group! more

NICKLE AND DIMERS 2/18/2010

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They are sales people rather than medical professionals. Horrible experience!!!!!! more

Scammers 2/16/2010

This place tries to scare you into doing a little extra cleaning on your teeth for a lot more money. \r \r My wife visited this Dental group to get a standard cleaning on her teeth. She chose them because of they took her insurance. They scared her into agreeing to a $185.00 additional cleaning that took all of 2 minutes to complete. \r \r They said that she had deep pockets. Sounds like they though she had deep pockets ($$$) alright. \r \r In my life I have never been charged extra for specific things on a cleaning. I was so upset the they ripped us off that I stopped payment on the check and will dispute and sue them if I have too.\r \r If you read this don't go to this dental group. They will try to suck extra money from you like they tried to do to us. It is really sad when you cannot even trust the medical profession to be honest with you anymore. more

Deep cleaning & poor work 2/2/2010

Every 6 months they insisted I had "large pockets" and needed deep cleaning, which not only costs $80 out of pocket every cleaning but they also charge the insurance company much more for this service. My new dentist says that I do not require any deep cleaning. The dentist removed my old silver fillings & replaced with white but left behind pieces of the silver so they all needed to be redone. Charged me $50 to file a tiny chip in my tooth which the nurse said he wouldn't charge anything for because it was so insignificant and I had been a patient for 3 years! more

Jupiter Dental Group 6/12/2009

i agree with the other reviews. the pediatric dentist is GREAT! however, the adult side forces you to have the deep cleaning. I've never had a dental experience like this. my husband and i have paid more than $1500 our of pocket, over and beyond our dental insurance. more

they ALWAYS make people do the deep cleaning 6/3/2009

or refuse to clean your teeth , Insurance doesn't cover it so it's all out of pocket ... never seen anything like it --I had to change dentist because of insurance, I had deep cleaning 6 mos prior to going to the Jupiter Dental Group , then they told me you MUST get under the gum cleaning (it had just been done) then he told me all three children must have under the gum cleaning .. VERY EXPENSIVE --- and they won't allow you to have a regular cleaning .. then they told me that my daughter would need braces (she just had them taken off ) --- something isn't' right here... more

Do not use this dentist 2/11/2009

They force you to see the dentist for an hour appointment ( an hour and a half with the wait) before you can get your teeth cleaned. Then they force you to get the deep cleaning - $1500 versus the normal cleaning covered by your insurance. Then when you are not satisfied and want to go to another dentist - they charge you $20 for the xray and records your insurance already paid them for. Definitely not a business with a lot of integrity. more

Their Pediatric Dentist 10/22/2005

They have a great pediatric dentist here. On our last trip I noticed how wonderful they are with the children. They keep them relaxed and make their experience positive. Their waiting room is very kid friendly with lots of toys and T.V. The best part is the when they're in the examining chair they give the children sunglasses so the bright light isn't in their eyes. I feel his exam is very thorough. He is really great with the children. more
