Somewhat spendy, as you'd expect from a high-end restaurant. Food arrived quickly (well before the scheduled interval) and was well packaged and very tasty. Rice was fluffy, but...

The food was just about decent - not as good as the average Indian place, and certainly not worth the inflated price. Unless you're looking for pure novelty value: their dishes a...

Contemporary & Stylish Indian hangout! 9/26/2006

Junnoon- adds a modern and elegant flavor to the entire Indian restaurant scene and has brought sophistication into the arena. We loved the entire setting, including the ambience and definitely the food lived up to the expectation. Pros: The FOOD, great service & ambience! Cons: The tables are a little small! more

Patio area is really relaxing !!!! 8/8/2006

We didnt notice the patio when we first entered, but ended up dining there. Was great. Definitely would recommend the steak. Pros: Patio outside more

Try the spiced molten chocolate cake - amazing flavors 8/7/2006

Awesome place. Went because a friend of mine highly recommended it and it definitely lived up to expectations amazing food, great drinks, cool ambience. Really enjoyed it. Recommend calling ahead of time since the place is really popular. more

Extraordinary food and service 8/7/2006

A bit pricey but totally worth it. Ordered the Manic Masala Mary, the crab cake and the Halibut. Really good food. Friendly Service. Going to bring back a group of friends next week more

High quality food. And the patio area is really relaxing. 8/6/2006

Read great reviews on Junnoon and took my girlfriend for our anniversary. I had called ahead with some special requests. The food was amazing and the staff went out of the way to make sure we have a great evening. The ambience cant be beat. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Valley. Pros: Patio outside more

Delicious food, especially the old delhi chicken 8/6/2006

My newest favorite in the San Francisco Bay Area!! If you enjoy Indian food as much as I do, Junnoon is a must. Theyve managed to put together some of the best dishes from the Indian sub-continent. I have been going there almost every week for the past month and the food and drinks have been consistently amazing. more

Very Urban feel 8/6/2006

If you live in the Bay Area or are visiting the area, Junnoon is a must do. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are unique and creative. Im going back there with friends for my birthday next week. more

Bar, lounge area - great to hang out with friends 8/4/2006

Dined at the restaurant on a Friday evening. Even though the restaurant was packed, we got good service and really tasty food. Highly recommended. Pros: Great Bar more

The Hungama Sangria and Moong Bean Chaat Salad 8/4/2006

As someone who has lived in London for 5 years and eaten really great Indian food, can state that this place is really out there. Really high quality food. A welcome addition to the San Francisco Bay Area. Pros: Fantastic Place to hang out . more

Extraordinary food and service 8/4/2006

Really Classy, cool restaurant. Discovered it while walking on University Avenue and have been back twice in the last 3 weeks. A definite must visit. more

Loved the design 8/3/2006

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed eating at Junnoon. We ate in the lounge and really liked the relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend it highly. more

shamelessly overpriced 6/26/2006

We had a dinner there on a Thursday evening. The service was OK, the food was tasty, but not spectacular. Everything was a touch above average but way overpriced for the amount you get and the quality. A small piece of plain naan is $4, which we thought was outrageous and the main courses were so small we left the restaurant hungry. If the prices dropped 40% we might consider going back. At this rate...NO WAY!!!!!! Definitely not worth it. Pros: atmosphere is cool Cons: high prices, small portions, not a great value more

Great addition to PA! 5/24/2006

Overall Junnoon is a great addition to down town PA. The bar and ambiance are excellent and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. My only complaint is their portions are small for the amount they charge. more

Fantastic Experience 5/18/2006

Went with friends this weekend and had a great time. The food is exceptional. Try the old delhi style chicken and the semolina shells. Also try the red dot drink The bar is extremely cool. I am definitely going to be a regular at Junnoon. more

Great New Addition to Palo Alto 5/1/2006

This place is definitely a great addition to Palo Alto. Unlike most the Indian food I've eaten in the Bay Area, this isn't oily or heavy. The food is extremely tasty and favorful with amazing sauces. You must try the chutneys, they're great and the breads are to die for. Also, the wait staff was excellent and extremely attentive. I discovered Junnoon while walking down University Ave last week and have already been there again over the weekend. more

Loved it! 4/29/2006

Finally an exotic Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. The bar has a chic New York feel to it - the music, the ""LBW"" drink, and the lounge were intoxicating. The food was phenomenal: definitely Indian food with a modern twist - spices in the chicken tikka were unique, the tandoori coconut halibut was memorable and the warm ginger chocolate cake to die for. Would highly recommend to get a high quality Indian food dining experience Pros: food, ambience, bar/lounge more

Amazing Food, Great Ambience, Perfect Service 4/27/2006

This is definitely one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Valley. The food is truly amazing. They've managed to put togther the best from the Indian subcontinent. And compared to some of the other high-end restaurants it's definitely worth the money. The different flavors in the food are just great. The ambience is nice and our server was extremely nice and professional. Call ahead though because it's a very popular place and usually crowded. It's a definite must. more

The best example of modern indian cuisine and ambiance in the bay area 4/19/2006

Great new gem in PA. The food was really well done, from exquisite flavor to presentation. We heard the chef is from one the the hot London indian restaurants, and it showed. This place is a 360 degree turn from the other indian dining we've experienced, most of which lack in ambiance. No lacking ambiance here, as the decor, and service, energy made it an exciting dinner. I would recommend this place to Indian food lovers and non alike. I was just happy to give me. more

Awful dining experience 4/16/2006

Let's see, poor food, poor service, watery drinks and high prices - what's not to like? $105 later for two (we actually left a tip), we had a manhattan, glass of chardonnay, microscopic appetizer, and small portion entrees of the Tamarind Duck (chewy and tough, tasted rewarmed), the prawns in mustard/coconut sauce (not bad, but the prawns were tough and tasted rewarmed, three chutneys, one bread and one coffee. ""Chutneys"" all tasted like sugar, too much sugar. Bulgarian waitress could not speak English clearly enough to describe food or options. Ambiance in the bar is not bad, but they really need tablecloths on the dining tables. There are too many really good Indian restaurants on the Peninsula to spend very high prices on such terribly poorly prepared dishes. High point of the visit was the bus boy, who attentively filled water glasses and cleared dishes. Pros: Attentive bus boy, Easy to avoid, Good location Cons: Overpriced, Poor service, Awful food more
