Great Food 5/16/2010

I go to Jasmine Deli as many times as I can. I have never had tofu taste so good & The Pork Sandwich is the BEST!!! When my family and friends come to Minneapolis I have to take them to Jasmine Deli. Pros: The Food Is Great Cons: None more

Used ti be a great Deli 1/13/2010

Jasmine was a nice deli, they used to have great personable service and very fresh food ,that was used to.My most recent visit was for lunch on Jan 13,2010 As we walked in we were greeted with a grunt from the man working and zero hospitality. After being ignored for about 10 minutes the man final took our order. The pho we had ordered did come very quickly however I did notice the much skimpier portions of fresh meat and veggies. We had our pho and no more attention to drink refills or other interaction that you might as a customer would expect. We also noticed a roach crawling on the condiment bottles at our table. We were once regulars here, but since moved from the neighborhood, we thought we would eat at Jasmine since we always did love the food and service maybe it was a bad day or something we will never return it was terrible and disappointing. Too bad it was a great place now it's second rate. Pros: cheap food Cons: Bad service and roaches more

Mock duck sping rolls = godly 10/11/2009

I eat here 3 times a week! Pros: inexpensive, fast Cons: Sometimes out of 'to go' food more

Favorite place for lunch in the city 5/10/2009

The service is genuine; the servers, the woman working at the counter, and the owner are all really nice people. The Bánh mì sandwiches are good (although the place right near the back wall of K-Mart has slightly better ones), the noodle bowls are excellent. Everything's cheap, and the atmosphere's good even with the whitewashed walls and tile. Pros: Very friendly, cheap, delicious. Cons: Very busy, especially for dinner. more

A goody! 1/29/2009

I really think this is a worthwhile takeout place. While fairly inexpensive, I do not think it's anything different than a lot of the other Asian restaurants. I think the wonton soup here is fantastic and one of the better flavored in town. The sandwiches are ok as are the eggrolls as are the rice plates. I do NOT like the lemonade and definitely preferred Thai Coffee as opposed to the Vietnamese (even though it is tasty). Get some soup!! That's the only truly worthy experience. Pros: Off-street Parking (near Azia), Soup Cons: Ambiance more

I'm addicted to the spring rolls 4/7/2008

This is a great place. I'm addicted to the spring rolls. Everything I've ordered there has been tasty and I've never been disappointed with my meal. This is a place my boyfriend and I gravitate towards when we're in the area, even though we like to try new places. Pros: great food Cons: very small dining area more

Best place for fresh and filling food! 2/22/2008

I recently moved - but keep on thinking about Jasmine deli. Whenever I visit, my first thing to do is stop by and get some spring rolls and a sandwich. This place is by far the best place to go for. If you ever crave wanting to eat something light and fulfilling, this is the place. I miss it a lot and am looking forward to my next trip to Minneapolis. I also want to try the new restaurants by Jasmine as well.\r \r Pros: Food, Cost, Food and yes Food more

vegetarian friendly vietnamese 1/7/2008

i am a strict vegetarian and was extremely impressed with their service. most places cant make me pho coz they cant replace their beef/chicken stock, but these guys did and with a smile! they were very mindful of my needs. the food was so fresh and flavorful. the cabbage egg rolls were amazing, and their curry noodle salad so yum! we wanted to try the sandwiches that we had heard so much abt but they ran out of bread, so thats what we'll have next time. we went around 7pm and they close at 8pm so its understandable to ran out of bread. they kept the place open past 8pm just to accomodate us. the staff is very friendly and kind. and the portions are geneous priced very reasonably. Pros: vegetarian friendly Cons: close early more

yummy yummy yummy gimme some! 12/23/2007

So delish! And did you know they opened another Jasmine just down the street? The deli is more casual and quick, the new ""Jasmine 26"" is a bit more upscale but in no way pretentious. ,delicious well thought out menu, great drinks, awesome beer list, same friendly faces from the deli. The family that own the restaurants worked so hard creating this new place. You must check it out. Pros: yummy food Cons: there isn't one in Northeast more

Great prices and Vietnamese food! 11/17/2006

I absolutely love their Vietnamese sandwiches and they're super cheap. The other food on the menu is also very good. The bubble tea is the best for the price on Eat Street. \r \r The place gets pretty packed during busy hours because its very small so be prepared to wait for a seat or chose takeaway! more

Try the Chicken and Basil specialty Spring Rolls 7/18/2006

Jasmine Deli is superb! I haven't found Vietnamese food this delish since moving from the Pacific NW a year ago. Excellent staff. Their take away is perfect for a picnic or grab a table indoors for a sm family get together. Always something new to try..bring a friend..Try their Vietnamese iced coffee..Try one of many Bubble teas..And sample the sweet sesame mung bean filled desserts. YUM!!!!!!!!! more

YUMMERS! 7/14/2006

The Banh Mi sandwiches are really delicious! The best that I can find in MPLS, so go and give it a try. You'll like it. more

Outstanding 5/30/2006

Simple, well done, excellent. The regulars that go are known by name and what they order, who doesn't love that, and obviuosly they are regulars because the food is fantastic and relatively inexpensive. Wish I lived closer. Pros: the Food, The Price Cons: small place more

The Best Vietnamese in Town 3/30/2006

They are such good people it's a pleasure going there. The owner spent a lot of time perfecting her soup broth as well as everything else to make it the freshest asian fare in town. They have also opened a second restaurant called ""Jasmine Orchid"" at 304 Oak St. Across from Oak Street Cinema. It replaces the Orchid Thai restaurant. Pros: Fresh, Friendly, Cheap Cons: crowded more

One of the best in MN - TRY IT 6/30/2005

What can I say? I love this place! Everything is fresh. They don't use any MSG or any other stuff like that. Their soups and sandwiches are great. Their jalepenos are awesome - much hotter than normal jalepenos. And the service is good! They are attentive and bring your food out pretty fast. I also highly recommend their homemade lemonade. A few small complaints: They aren't open on Mondays (but who can blame them for wanting a day off?), and they don't have pho. However, everything they have is delicious, so it's not such a big deal. I just really like pho. Anyway, if you like Vietnamese food, you must try this place. You won't be disappointed. Cons: not open on Monday, no pho more

Food over fanciness 7/13/2004

As far as I know, this restaurant has only been in business for a few years. It may not be fancy, but the PEOPLE and the FOOD make this little place GREAT! I think they make the best spring rolls and peanut sauce in the Twin Cities! The broken rice plates are very tasty, as are the steam buns. And they make the best chicken soup I""ve ever had! Pros: Good food, Friendly people, Inexpensive more

LOVE IT!! 1/19/2004

I love this place, and only wish that I lived closer. The only bad experience I had there was eating a jalepeno. After looking and feeling like I was going to die, I learned that sugar will help that burning feeling. I recovered to eat the rest of the meal. Pros: Fresh ingredients, The owner, PRICE! Cons: jalapenos, too far from my house more

well done! 1/2/2004

Jasmine Deli has all the right stuff. A everpresent, committed and caring owner, terrific lunch time flavors and McPrices. There are a zillion similar menus in town (half of them on eat street) but Jasmine has the monopoly on the overall ""Bun-Mi"" (cheap-eat Vietnamese soups and sandwiches) experience. more

Simply Awesome! 2/22/2003

No doubt this is one of the best deals in town. The noodle soups, salads and crusty sandwiches are out of this world and the prices make you want to come back for more. The service is friendly and they have their own parking area to boot! This is also a great place to have cater your next event. I hosted an event for 30 persons and they provided the food for under $10/person. Everyone left with full bellies and big smiles! I highly recommend this place as one of the best gems in the Cities! Pros: Good Food, Excellent Value more
