I purchased an item from this store a few months back and it broke apart in a way that could have only been due to shoddy workmanship. Unfortunately, I needed a replacement for it quickly so I decided to purchase another from this store and research later for a higher quality product. \r \r The clerk that orginally sold me the device asked if I had my receipt... the item was 2 1/2 months old... it seemed a little odd to hold a receipt for it... one does not expect the item to break. He also had originally sold the device to me. But the assumption that I was asking for a refund was incorrect. I was simply looking to replace it as quickly as possible. \r \r The item was never re-ordered and I know that this item was the last on the shelf purchased in late January. A re-order wasn't placed until late February and the item was on back order. It was now the first week in April.\r \r I then had to prod the clerk into making a note and calling about the back order to see if one could get a date or an approximate date of arrival. \r \r The clerk was not unkind, per se, but seemed maybe a little condescending. Perhaps it was a female thing as the store is staffed virtually entirely by men and likely frequented more often by men. Or perhaps the store is better for electrician types, though the problem was never not knowing what part was needed, or that any advice was needed concerning the device itself, which would make the attitude all the more confusing.\r \r I was able to replace the part via internet and it arrived in three days. But it is always preferable to me to support local and smaller businesses. I don't think this experience would deter me from going back if it was necessary... but I would agree with a previous poster... not for the faint of heart.\r \r \r \r \r Cons: product availability and customer service more

JB Saunders supplies local high-tech development as well as sophisticated amateur electronics.\r Three steps up from Radio Shack, it's not for the faint of heart - but you'll find it here (probably).\r Lots of tools, components, wire, connectors.\r The service is good and experienced.\r It is in an out-of-the-way location, so you have to be looking for it.\r Pros: variety and service more
