My office will never know the lure of their cinnamon rolls. I stopped in at 7:30 a.m. for six rolls, and walked out with nothing and a quarter lighter spent on a meter. Would ha...

I dream about this place. . . a lot! 9/15/2010

I can't even describe how much I love Isle's Bun and Coffee. Their cinnamon rolls are excellent and so are their caramel and pecan caramel rolls. I am a coffee drinker and I think they make the best americano in town. Both the pastries and the coffee are very reasonably priced as well. No, they don't have a lot of tables but if they did, that would mean a larger space. Part of their cozy charm, in my opinion, is their quaint, old building. Isles Bun and Coffee is one of only a few places that resembles a ""European"" feel in the city. The only drawback is that they don't have a gluten free cinnamon bun. I am now gluten free so I can no longer enjoy them. . .but I still dream about them! Go get one (or two) while you can! more

Great Buns, Coffee is not so hot 9/27/2009

Great cinnamon rolls and i'm not a fan of cinnamon rolls to begin with. The difference, it's sweet without being too sweet. I also love that I get to control how much icing I want. the fresh OJ was great, the coffee was not. I'm a ""transplant to MN"" and i'm not a fan of the local coffee, but if that is your thing you will enjoy the coffee. Avoid Saturday mornings around 10am unless you want to stand in line for 20 - 30 minutes, but it's well worth the wait. Can I say that I love that most of the people who where in line were people who just finished working out, what a way to treat yourself following a work out. Pros: Flavor, Price, Control of Icing, Fresh OJ Cons: Coffee more

BEST FN ROLLS IN TOWN. 8/16/2008

Isle's Bun has THE best cinnamon rolls in Minnesota, if not in the midwest including Chicago. You can also get a great latte or coffee or FRESH Squeezed OJ. They aren't Starbucks, they are more of a bakery not a coffee shop. But try finding fresh squeezed OJ at Starbucks or even Caribou these days. These people do great work, they know what they are doing and do it better than anyone in Minneapolis. If you want the clean and sterile feeling of a huge corporation then go find it, if you want real love you can eat, go to Isle Buns!!!! Thanks Isle's! more

Puppy Dog Tails 6/15/2008

Yummy baked goodies. Very few tables. Coffee drinks are usually not that great. It?s ok, BUT I think it?s the only place in the Twin Cities where you can get freshly baked goodies AND fresh coffee at the same place. Pros: Baked goods are good Cons: Few tables, not that great coffee drinks more

Nice Buns! 9/1/2007

...but I go there for the Wonderful Scones and the BEST coffee in the Twin Cities! \r I am reluctant to spread the word on this place, but it is simply the best.\r And I like the people that work there too. Pros: buns and coffee Cons: too far away from where I live more

best cinnamon rolls around 10/13/2006

This place makes the best cinnamon rolls in the world do your self a favor and get some you will not be sorry and ask for extra frosting. more

must try at least once... 1/2/2005

and you'll be hooked! A friend raved about the rolls here, but I was skeptical. Oh, they were every bit as good as she said, better even, a little piece of heaven right here on earth. The place is tiny, but the rolls, oh, the rolls are an experience you cannot miss. Pros: buns, buns, buns Cons: , very few tables more
