The Garlic Rolls are great, but... 2/10/2003

If you wanted to make a meal out of garlic rolls, then Ippolito's is the place. If you're looking for good food, and a restaurant with nice ambience, look elsewhere. more

Not good Italian food 2/5/2003

I am an Italian, originally from Brooklyn, NY, and this food they consider Italian is not even close! This was the first Italian restaurant I visited after our move to Georgia, and I have never been back. I would not recommend this place to anyone who really enjoys Italian cooking. Pros: Inexpensive, Convienient Location Cons: Terrible Red Sauce, Pasta overdone, Not true Italian food more

my family to yours 1/10/2003

My family moved from conn to atlanta 16 years ago, we opened our first ipp's in roswell in 1989, I can remember the day my grandfather came into the kitchen and taught all the cook's how to make his sauce and meatballs. We strive to live up to his reputation. We have made many happy customers, just ask the regulars that keep coming back night after night. It is hard to please everyone every night, but in this time of generic restaurants I am proud of what we have accomplished. My wish to you is that you too will become part of our ipp's family! more

Mangia!!!! 1/8/2003

Ippolito's is fresh, authentic Italian food. The owners are Italian and have been in the restaurant business for years so they know what people want and expect. The absolute BEST garlic rolls you will ever taste and the house salad dressing IS a must. Dunk your garlic roll into your salad for a mouth watering experience. I have gone there for lunch before and only ordered garlic rolls and a house salad and was totally happy. more

Italian ""Chow"" at best! 12/24/2002

Fun atmosphere, excellent food. Always willing to serve extra rolls. The way to tell if the restaurant is authentic Italian, ask if they have home made canolli's. Olive Garden doesn't... Ipp's does. So the next time you're going to ""OG's"", try Ipp's instead. You won't be disappointed. more

Terrible 12/23/2002

This was the worst - if you can call it italian food. I might be prejudiced coming from nyc and growing up in an italian neighborhood - but before they call themselves a good italian restaurant - they definately need to learn how to make a sauce! more

Wasting your time 12/10/2002

After waiting for 2 hours we were seated like sardines in a can. The server was rude and slow. The food was terrible and our party of 4 agreed we would have been better off at McDonald's. Cons: crowded, poor service, inadequate parking more

Long wait for okay food... 11/22/2002

The last time we tried to eat at Ippolito's, the place was PACKED. In fact, it was quite umcomfortable. The wait was 1 or 2 hours, I don't remember which. We opted for sitting at the bar and ordering appetizers. They were okay, nothing great. Pros: OKAY food Cons: LONG wait, Too many people, SLOW service more

Yummy 11/22/2002

Best Italian I have eaten. I crave the Cavatelli Chicken and Shrimp. Also, the garlic rolls are to die for. Pros: Inexpensive more

Ipp's rules! 11/8/2002

Great authentic Italian food with a casual environment. Friendly staff, excellent mussels and seafood marinara! The lasagna is wonderful. The portions are huge. Pros: Excellent food, Casual more

Always Enjoyable 11/7/2002

For the money, it's one of the best restaraunts in the area. The food is always good, yet the screaming kids running through the isles remind me of a playground. Definitely not a romantic Italian night on the the town. Cons: Crowded more

Mama Mia is in the house 10/31/2002

generous portions of well seasoned Italian dishes served with fresh garlic rolls make me want to return often....atmosphere is friendly, casual, like a neighborhood restaurant should be. Pros: good parking Cons: small waiting area more

Worst italian food I've eaten anywhere 10/29/2002

Although the garlic rolls are some of the best around, and every now and then they get lucky with some of their specials, and they actually turn out good, the overall quality of the food here is below average (to say the least). They offer a choice of ""pick your pasta, and pick your sauce""...I'm convinced they boil the pasta and open a can of ragu (or something cheaper) and just throw it on top, put it in the microwave and serve it. A child could achieve this culinary masterpiece in 5 minutes. North worth the money! Pros: great garlic rolls, good specials, good atmosphere Cons: terrible menu items, sauce- below average, overall quality = bad more

good food for the price 10/15/2002

I recently tried Ippolito's on Holcomb Bridge Road since my mother tried it and said it was very good (and she would know since she is an excellent cook herself). I had also read good customer reviews on the web. I had the seafood stuffed shells and a friend had the lasagna. Even though the pasta dishes were average, I had heard their pizzas are their best item. The garlic rolls are THE best I have had at any Italian restaurant. And their desserts looked great but I couldn't finish my main course. more

IPPS- family Favorite! 9/25/2002

Ippolitos- commonly referred to by family and friends as IPPS, provides great service, high quality and deliciou authentic italian food at reasonable prices!! They have a plethorah of amazing desserts- (I'd avoid the cakes- cheesecake and canolis are great!!) OH- and don't forget the garlic rolls!! Favorite Atlanta Restaurant!!! Pros: great food, value!!, desserts are awesome Cons: sometimes a wait, cakes can be dry more

Not Bad... 9/15/2002

We have an Ippolito's here in the Marietta area, across from Town Center Mall. The food is fresh and tasty but nothing to write home about. It's typical, predictable, and decent Italian food for the area. more

Best of Little Italy 8/13/2002

Their rolls are to die for. The are in the same parking lot as another Italian Restaurant chain, and I choose Ippolito's every time. You can beat the taste. Cons: small and quaint more

cust service sucks 8/13/2002

the waitress misrepresented the entrees. the nickel and dimed me for added veggies. the waitress didn't want to talk to me, and neither did the manager. unfortunately, I payed it because I was in a rush. wrote a letter to the owner, no response. I'll never go to any of the branches, and always tell everyone to avoid it. Food was just so-so, just another Italian restaurant, and a bit pricey I thought. Never again !! Cons: poor seating, poor servie, owner with big ego more

Long Live IPPS! 7/31/2002

I was just thinking. I bet I've been going to Ippolitos in Sandy Springs for 10 years! What a great atmosphere and what great food! You can't find better rolls in Atlanta and save room for the dessert! MAN! Pros: Rolls, Calazone's, Pizza more

Can't Beat Ippolito's 7/25/2002

Always great food, always good service. Their nightly specials are awesome and the garlic rolls...... Always worth the wait. Pros: great food, lots of parking, good value Cons: crowded, wine expensive more
