I never go to hair salon solely based on a review, but I gave it a try, and Danne's reviews were raving, as was he. He took so much time getting to understand what I was looking for, as well as taking into account my type of hair. He explained his techniques in styling to me so that I could do the same at home, and gave me great ideas that I never thought of. My experience with Danne was the best ever. I was planning to be in Hawaii for a few days and really wanted to get my hair done. I found him online through google search, where it directed me to his awesome website. It gave me an option to book online, which was so convienent...it saved me tons of time! My appointment with him turned out to be the best i've ever experienced. I got the best cut and highlights that I have ever recieved. He was very friendly and had alot of wisdom and advice....not stuck up at all. He gave me alot of tips for my new cut and didn't push his products on me. I've been to all the top places on Oahu, Paul Brown, Chop, J Salon, Billy Fong, Marsha Nadalin. Who else is there? But I never ""loved"" my hair. I used to think it was me. Maybe I wanted what couldn't be done? I would ask for a ""soft, but precise, easy to care for style"". They would cut, then do a major blowdry, or iron it afterward. EVEN WHEN I WOULD TELL THEM I NEVER DO THAT AT HOME! It would look good, but it was way too over-done for me and my boyfriend. And it looked terrible when I did it the next day! Danne knows his clients and tailors the cut to their individual style. While he can do short cutting edge styles, he also knows how to cut long thick hair to create a soft flow. I've had both short and long hair and with every haircut he has given me the perfect cut; a miracle considering with my vague and abstract instructions.
