Ideal Moving & Storage

Ideal Moving & Storage Inc. moved my family from NYC to Ohio in June This Year, and I have to say they did an outstanding job. We were initially contacted via email by Lisa, a sales rep at Ideal Moving & Storage Inc. After we received an email explaining their services, we called in to get a more specific moving quote. Lisa was so great. She went over an inventory list with my wife and explained all of the services that were included and what we could add additionally ins. if we wanted to. We opted to add full value insurance coverage and packing of our china. We were so comfortable with everything that Lisa told us, that we went ahead and placed our reservation. Lisa assured us that our price was locked in and would not increase and that we had secured the dates that we requested for the move. We still had two weeks before the actual move was to take place. In that two week period, we made a few changes to our inventory and packing requests and Lisa gladly helped. On the day of pickup, the driver called at 9am to let us know he would be arriving within the hour. When the movers arrived (three guys total) they were so nice and helpful. They did a great job packing our china and taking great care of our furniture as they loaded it onto the moving truck. The driver said he would be arriving in Ohio two days later and to plan accordingly. On the delivery end, the crew arrived about thirty minutes earlier than they had planned (which was great). They placed all of our furniture where we told them and even unpacked our china for us! Overall, we were so nervous about moving and we had heard so many horror stories about a long distance move. This was one of the best reliefs I have ever felt. I hope that anyone reading this will contact Ideal Moving & Storage Inc. if you are moving and you will be very pleased. I contracted these guys not knowing what to expect because we were used to dealing with different movers. This year the way the economy is I had to select a more cost friendly mover. I was a little apprehensive but didnt have much choice. After careful review I selected Ideal Moving & Storage Inc. and the entire experience was a breath of fresh air. The truck arrived on time. the company called me the day before and let me know that they would be arriving on time.My sales representative answered all of my questions and always got right back to me as soon as I called. And trust me, I called alot. I would estimate that from the time I put down a deposit I had to call at least twenty different times to get him to answer several questions that arose as we got closer to the move date. I knew he had to be tired of me. But like I was saying, the move date arrived and the guys, John and JC were fantastic.They wrapped everything and stacked it in the truck with care. After they were done I even tipped them and we were off to the destination. The delivery took about 7 days and we were right in the window they had promised. When everything arrived, the same driver and helper that picked me up were the same that delivered and that was a relief to me becuase I didnt want my items being transfered from truck to truck. They unloaded and I did get my weight tickets. I had gone over a couple hundred dollars but that was fine. There were some things that I had that I forgot to to tell JC my sales rep. I have now unpacked everything and there were absolutely no damges at all! Thank you guys. I told you if the move didnt go well I would be your worst customer. Sadly to say, my spirit was not connecting with any of the companies that have called me...I was just about to give up until the last call I answered, it was IDEAL MOVING & STORAGE......What an EXCELLENT Moving Company. My sales Rep. was Lisa she was very honest about EVERYTHING I mean after taking my inventory she studied the list of items and assisted me with EVERYTHING that I needed to know regarding the nature and scope of my move. Very helpful, and what a personality!...After a while of talking with Danielle I realized she was not only here to help me with my move but, she cared as well. Lisa and her co-workers David and John really assisted me...I mean being there for me BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the move as Lisa promised during our initial conversation. Overall, the actual move and the movers were GREAT! I'm talking about fast, friendly and I must admit very, very PROFESSIONAL...they got the job done! I was truly pleased with the services that they provided me. The only complaint I have ....well, I wish I could have had enough money to tip the guys a little more ..Other than that, I have no complaints. I would recommend IDEAL Moving and Storage to anyone. I must admit, when Jacque Cole responded to my online query for moving quotes, I was not confident she could handle my family's move. First she was not pushy like all the other callers, which was a good start for her. She never once asked about the other movers I was talking to or how much their quotes were. Her quote was thorough and she explained every step of our move and costs. This young lady surprised me and over exceeded my wife's expectations. The movers- lead by David were on time- 9-11am was our time and they came at 9.30am. They worked tirelessly, loaded the truck in MA and arrived 9 days in TN. wow!!! It was a stress free move. These movers deserved every single penny. I would definitely recommend Ideal Moving to all my friends and family. The young lady even gave my very nervous wife her cell phone. These guys are great. I had a ton of stuff and needed it to be packed as well as moved. They were about 30 minutes early, got straight to work and had everything nicely packed and ready to go in about 3.5 hours. They never complained and were the model of efficiency. Other companies estimated it would take more than twice that long, and literally almost twice the price. I got estimates from 4 other companies and Ideal Moving & Storage was the lowest. But their service was excellent! Polite, responsible, and fast (even though it was per hour). They delivered everything just as promised. It took us forever to research the right moving company for our Upper East Side studio apartment. I'm glad to have done my research, because once I found Ideal Moving & Storage , I knew the average prices and what other companies were including in their standard price. Ideal Moving & Storage was a little more expensive then the average moving company but they knew what they were doing and their customer service was more professional than most. On the moving date, they came 15 minutes early to asses the situation. Even though we knew it would be a tough move, they seemed to go about their actions as if it were day-to-day. With a smile, the movers carefully helped pack loose bags, wrapped up the couch, rug, and TV, had plenty of extra wardrobe boxes available, and managed to do what I thought was going to be four hours of work in nearly two hours. Upon arrival to our new apartment, Ideal Moving & Storage were there right after us ready to diligently unload their truck. Unwrapping couches, TVs, boxes, and wardrobe boxes seemed to take a quarter of the time it took to load. Everything arrived safely, without a scratch, and effortlessly. We were very happy with Ideal Moving & Storage and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality moving company. Pros: Friendly expert movers w/ quality customer service Cons: None more

The care given to my belongings was outstanding. The professionalism of the foreman and the crew was beyond anything I've experienced EVER in a move. The quote given over the phone practically matched the actual move to the dollar. The boxes were not overpriced; no extra materials were pushed on me nor were there any hidden charges.
