The food is good and service is always good. A great place to take your friends for a quick dinner. I like the attention all the servers give. You get your money's worth. great service and environment 1/9/2007

They say that first impressions are everything. I could not agree more, and (apparently), neither could Houston's. Never mind the fact this was my very first visit (to feel them out, no less), from the door I was treated as if ""everybody knew my name"". I was seated promptly, greeted by every employee that I encountered (whether they were my server or not), and even my food came in a timely manner considering the number of patrons there that evening. Servers were very conversational and engaging, not to mention they actually had knowledge of not just what is on the menu....but, what is in what is on it (did I lose you there?). Combine this hospitality with an A+ environment as well as mouthwatering dishes at reasonable prices, and not only do you have a winner.....you have Houston's. And they now have a loyal patron. You Gotta Go! 4/27/2006

This is the 2nd Houston's that I've been to in Atlanta and I love the both of them! The first time I went was with my girlfriends and the second was with my boyfriend. I have sat in the back and I have sat near the grill and both had a good ambience to them. So its good for whatever kinda feel you want to go for..whether its a hangout with some friends or a romantic evening. It is costly, customer service is great, the Hawaiian Rib Eye was the Bomb (it was good) and ladies a good wine St. Urrs ( a sweet wine) from Germany was on point! I recommend it! I have been here several times-always a good choice. My personal favorite...the porkchops. The food here is great and the atmosphere is lovely. best ribs in the south 6/5/2005

My family visits Atlanta twice a year and we always eat at Houstons. The ribs are the best in the south. Also try the pork chop. Prices are moderate and the service is excellent. The wait can get long on occasion, but well worth the wait. Bring the kids. My girls split an order of ribs and we have been known to eat their every night we are in town. Best Burger I have tasted 5/22/2005

My Boyfriend and I live in Macon, GA. about an hour south from Atlanta, we have to come to Houston's at least every other weekend, just to have there burgers. The burgers at Houston's are absolutely wonderful, It seems crazy to come to Atlanta just for the burgers at houston, but once you have tasted one you will agree, that it's worth the drive. Have lived in Atlanta for the past 10 years, and have experienced many places, but without a doubt, Houstons on Peachtree is hands down, my favorite. Friday after work, Saturdays are my favorite times. Bar and staff (Burlie, Paul (come back), Robbie (gone) and the rest) truly make one feel like they are part of an extended family. Food is the best, Prime Rib and Hawaiin Rib Eye are exceptional, and what would it be without the Smoked Salmon App w/a glass of Ballentines Merlot or Morgans Pinot Noir! A truly enjoyable experience. If you have not been, you must GO! Thanks Houstons (On Peachtree) for making my life just a little bit better! Pros: everything more

The food is reasonably priced for the atmosphere. Very private and not too noisy. The service is adequate but the staff tends to be a little pretentious and high on themselves. Fries are definitely in the top 10 best in Atlanta. Pros: Good food Cons: Pretentious staff more

Customer Services 5/18/2003

Houston's customer service is great. I eat there on occassion for lunch and the staff at the bar treats me like I come there everyday. Sometimes they order my food when I walk in the door, set up my space and before you know it, I'm eatting. Talk about personable. They're the best. Keep up the good work. Predjudicial against kids 1/29/2003

I have been going to Houston's for over 20 years. Tonight, we were told it would be 10 minutes for a table for 5 and when the table became available, the hostess sat another group - that had arrived at least ten minutes after us. The manager, Nathan, at the Lenox Houston's, never apologized for the treatment. We finally got a table at 8:10pm. (One of the other hostesses confirmed we were indeed skipped.) Nathan offered us an artichoke appetizer for our ""extended wait."" He still didn't care what had been done. You see, we had children with us when we arrived. It will be a very cold day...before we ever eat there again. First Come, First Served, SHOULD MEAN First Come, First Served!!!!!! Pros: good food Cons: poor management, prejudicial, crowded more

Some of the Best American Food 1/9/2003

If you are looking for really good american food that is always consistent, then you have to give Houston's the top rating. No matter which Houston's I have eaten ate, they are all the same. You can never go wrong with the French Dip, Chicken Platter, a burger, or the Ribs (the best thing on the menu). I have never had a bad experience in this place. I heard the hype about houston's so I decided to try it out, Overall the restaurant was good, the only con I have is that it took forever to get seated, but once seated the staff was very nice and our food got served to me and my friend extremely fast. I hear alot of people talk about the hamburgers and they are right the burgers are well made, but their isn't a huge selection of them, but if I could recommeed an item off the menu, I would recommeed that everyone try one of those wonderful salads that come with that delicious cheese bread. Excellent choice - I've dined at the various locations around Atlanta (and other cities) dozens of times and never been disappointed. The food is excellent and consistently prepared. They offer a decent variety from sandwiches/burgers, meal size salads and full dinners with excellent fresh fish and steaks. The wait staff is attentive and well trained!! The restaurants themselves go a step beyond the usual with quality art, lighting etc... The waits during peak times can be long - so try to go early or late if that's an issue for you. Highly recommended!! more
