sophisticated Chinese food 9/2/2005

Where to go when you're on a date or business dinner? Go to House of Siam near San Jose State University. When I walked in, I completely adored the decoration! It is by far the most most good looking Chinese Restaurant I've been in. It is fancy and good for dates and business dinners. I did not enjoy the food but the service and restaurant made me feel fancy than I am normally am. It is good price for such a fancy restuarant! more

Feels like Tahiland 8/26/2005

Even though I used to go to Thepthai more often because of the lunch buffet option, there is no denying that House of Fiam is far more superior when it comes to taste and ambiance in Thai food. They have 2 branches close to each other. This particular branch offers both modern and traditional seating..The moment you enter, it feels like you have entered Thailand. There is soft Thai music in the background which is very soothing... The food is superb and overall its a nice dining experience... more

One of the Best Thai Houses in San Jose 8/16/2005

I have been to House of Siam several times now, once for my birthday, once for another special occasion, and once for a casual lunch. All three times, I have received really good service, and the food have been delicious every single time. Their curry is perhaps the best Thai curry I have ever tried (try both their red and green curries), and their Pineapple Fried Rice is served inside half of a real pineapple. The decor is really nice, featuring traditional Thai decorations. There is even one long table built for large parties who would like to eat their meals while sitting on the floor - in comfort, of course. My only complaint is that House of Siam is a bit pricer than most Thai restaurants I have been to. more
