Hoosier Pickup

I am paid up to date and paid up until Sept you cashed check knowing you were going out of business always someone's fault but yours you don't know how to run business you lie cheat and steal and you think we should choose a garbage company you recommend. you need help, you give small business people a bad name if you can't do the job paid to do don't take there money give it back so people may work with you,and you want us to clean out trash cans out so you can pick up you forgetting you owe us, I see a lot of full cans in corydon lanesville Floyd co.Crandall and etc. And you are saying we owe you hard to believe because I am paid up to date + quit lying to yourself and pay back what you owe and we will be glad to give you your can empty if I get my refund and reimbursed the weeks you missed more

We have not seen these guys for a month. Second Quarter bill mailed on 3/15/2015 and cleared the bank on 3/20/2015. They have no customer service. Voicemail always says you'll be picked up by end of week, but doesn't happen. They never appear to pick up voicemail as mailbox is always full. Even stopped by the street address that found in search and left message on front door with our phone number. Still not heard from them. That address is a home and not a business location. Don't know where they keep their trucks. Use a Post Office box for mail. Don't qualify for even one star at this point as I'm not sure they are even in business at this time. more

It would be nice if someone answered the office phone occasioally..message system is always full..so after one had listened to 5 minutes of excuses...still cannot leave a message ...gonna bring cans to office if not picked up next week more

it's been weeks since we had our trash picked up they are so unrelieable it's crazy! switched back to waste Mangement. hope they read this so they can come get there can take it with you I won't be using you anymore! I want a refund as well!!.. John Pectol Rd. more

Currently my Hoosier Pickup garbage can is at the street more than by the house. Garbage is only being picked up once or twice per month. Can not leave message. Answering machine is always full. more

Not only is the service unreliable , they don't send out bills and then cut you off without any warning. It's best to pay a little more and use a professional company. more

Hoosier won't pick-up has been hit or miss for months. Included with my last bill was an excuse riddle form letter. So now they want MORE money to not pick up our trash. You're red trash can is going on Craigslist more

It has been several weeks since we have had any pick up. Attempted to call multiple times. Only getting message that they are running behind because of.......... Voice mail is full. Come get your can by Saturday or I am keeping for the fee you have been paid and not provided service. You are fired. I recommend any one else. I like to support locally own business, but only if they do their job. Had to give at least one star to get to submit. Otherwise it would be a negative. more

Terrible service. They always have a million reasons for not picking up your trash. I think mine has been picked up about 4 times since the first of the year. They never answer the phone and there's always a lengthy explanation on voicemail regarding the lapses in service. They're running themselves out of business. more

I feel sorry for anyone with Hoosier Pickup service. My parents are in poor health and don't deserve the amount of confusion this company has caused them. Hoosier trash can has been at the end of there driveway since the week before Christmas. Of course, service was transferred to a new company in December. Sadly, the bills keep coming to my parents address asking for payment with no service rendered. This is a unreliable company with poor customer service. more

I have been over 4 weeks as of Wednesday as of January 7, 2015 and I have called them several times and know you can not get through by calling them. I live in Corydon and I am not happy. more

We switched to Hoosier pickup on 10-1-2024. The price was reasonable and the staff friendly. The company did not pick our garbage up correctly for the first four weeks. Repeated phone calls would result in the garbage being picked up. Management blamed the driver, the driver blamed management. Pick went as expected for several weeks, then with no forewarning, Hoosier pickup moved our pickup day from Monday to Friday meaning we had to go twelve days with no garbage pickup. Once again on Friday dec 19th they failed to pickup the garbage. Phone calls to the company are only answered by voice mail that is rude and basically says their trucks broke down and that is that. No apologies period. Their vmail said they would pick up Friday after Christmas, then was changed to say they would pick up Saturday after Christmas. It is Sunday morning dec28th. our garbage is flowing out into the street and no one at Hoosier pickup will answer the phone. It has been 17 days since our last pickup and no idea when pickup will happen. We start new garbage service with rumpke on Tuesday. more

Hoosier pickup came to our area as a new company Six years ago and undercut/outbid the competition which was great service (Capitol Waste) I made a bad decision and went with them. It was basically because it was cheeper. I thought how hard can it be to pick up garbage? Obviously, really hard for these guys. I have two houses & gave them both accounts. I got the same service on both houses. They miss the houses all the time. We end up hauling off our own garbage because in the house we live in is in the country and we can't leave out trash out for a full next week due to animals tearing into it. When you call you only get an answering service and when you leave a msg asking for credit for missed weeks they ignore you. Sometimes the mailbox is FULL with Voicemails they aren't addressing & you can't even leave a msg. Like right now! I switched back to Capital Waste because this time it's been three weeks missed. I was fed up with excuses of broken down trucks, New drivers etc.I want them to come get my rented trash can's from me because I have a feeling they will continue to charge me but I can't get hold of these poor business people. Wish me luck! Don't do business with these guys. It's a headache. If your from this area go to Capital waste. I've been with both for years. You will get much better service at Capital Waste. You think trash service is no big deal till you pay someone and it's not picked up week after week. GO to BBB all other review are exactly the same as mine. They are consistent with one thing! I have been with hoosier pickup for about a year and am very disappointed they fail to pickup your garbage and when you try to call either to complain or try to resolve the issue they avoid contact BUT however they will contact you when they want paid for their poor service more
