Historic Banning Mills

I first heard about Histortic Banning Mills from my son when he went with his scout troop. When he told me about the place and how much he loved it and that they offered accommodations I decided to look further into going. So we planned a family trip this past summer and it met the expectations that were set by my son and it was a excellent time. As a family we will come back for more zip-lining adventures in the future. more

My overall experience here was great! We had a comfortable room, good breakfast, beautiful surroundings, we were really impressed! more

I knew it was going to be fun but I did not expect to have that amazing of a time. Our guides were awesome and the lines were amazing. more

My wife is afraid of heights and I thought for sure that she would get scared and change her mind. However, the staff demonstrated extreme confidence and made us feel very safe. We ended up spending the whole day there and even upgraded to the second level. We will definitely make the 4 hour trip from Mississippi again! more

Definitely go! I took my brother for his birthday and the tour guides were pleasant, accommodating, and made the experience really special. The environment was relaxing and beautiful. There is not only zip lining , there is rock climbing, free trails, and lodging which accommodated everyone in our group. I will be back for sure! more

My stay was great and it was a very fun place to be. I really liked the individual cabins and they were very well kept! The staff there was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. more

On our visit here this spring the staff was just wonderful. We couldn't ask for anything better when it came to service by them. Everyone was very accommodating and we even got to speak with the owner a few times. Its a wonderful place to visit. more

My friend and I got to experience the Canopy tour over Thanksgiving break and it was AMAZING. What a rush of excitement. The staff or guides were so patient with the ones who were terrified (me) and the scenery was unbelievable! After the canopy we ate off or the grill and it was the icing on the cake. I would recommend to anyone! more

Special place for our wedding memories. We don't even have to drive far away now that we have found this unique place. From now on, when we think of getting away, we will always think of Banning. We felt pampered and rejuvenated. Thanks for being so nice! Awesome and wonderful experience. We will be back as soon as we can! Positives:\r Nice trails, beautiful area. A number of activities are available for couples or the entire family. The potential to amount to a nice getaway. Good customer service (except for a deplorable service experiences? see below).\r Negatives:\r My family and I were expecting a nice weekend family getaway, but due to a quite negative interaction with the lodge owners, the trip unfortunately ended in a net negative experience. We voiced a couple of legitimate complaints (calmly and professionally) related to minor lodging/services issues to them, and were immediately met by an argumentative and condescending attitude for no reason at all, where they went well outside the bounds of tolerable customer service to attempt to disprove/dismiss our complaints (e.g. by accusatorily stating no one else had complained, prior residents of our particular room had no issues, etc.). \r Customer satisfaction is evidently not on the priority list given the apparent inclination to argue with guests; we had a good time and intended to book later reservations, but will definitely not be recommending this place nor returning after this experience.\r Pros: location, activities, trails Cons: service! more
