I was very surprised that Hinding would put in a $125.00 thermostat in an old building with an old boiler. In that there is no cooling with a Hot Water boiler, why have it put in ...

Woke up on coldest day of the year, furnace out. Of course. Called other shops who couldn't come out for hours. Called Hinding, and they sent a guy within 30 minutes. No nonesense; he found the problem and fixed it immediately. Heat within an hour of calling them, and the entire cost of the service call, replacement part, and repair was a little over $200. Outstanding service and value. They are now my HVAC service choice. more

Miscommunications Were Resolved Quickly 2/2/2011

They don't honor their warranties. I called them to get my furnace fixed as it was not working properly (they had installed it and it was under warranty with them). After a week of living in a house that was below 60 degrees, they were able to come out to fix it. They would only come sooner if it was not running at all. The problem was fixed but then I was given a bill. They claimed the furnace was working fine and they only did a tune up which is not covered by the warranty (despite reassuring me several times that it would be covered by the warranty when I called them initially). It seems they will tell you anything to get their foot in your door so they can start charging you; warranty or no warranty. **EDIT**: Since the time this was posted. All issues stated above were resolved very quickly and professionally. more

Integrity and Service! 2/5/2010

In January ?10 I purchased a Furnace/Central AC from Hinding Company. Prior to choosing Hinding, I met with 5 other companies, all of which also offer top of the line HVAC brands. The pricing between the 6 companies was competitive so that wasn't a deciding factor. I chose Hinding Company because 1) they are a local company who have been in business for many years, 2) they back their equipment with outstanding parts & labor warrantees and 3) Brian, the company's representative, is a person of integrity. I trust the information he provided me and believe the company will be available should I need service or repairs in the future. Brian is also a person with outstanding follow-through. He is always quick to respond to an email or phone call. This is very reassuring when making such a major purchase If anyone is considering a furnace/ac purchase, I would be glad to provide a reference for Hinding Company. more

GREAT JOB 11/16/2009

Thanks for the great job. You arrived as I leaving for work at 7 am and my husband called before 3pm that the new thermostat,furnace,air conditioner and air puriffier were all installed and working..You are a very professional group ,we had 2 other estimate appts set up but after Brian looked everything over and gave us a quote we decided to go with ""the guys in the neighborhood"". We had previously dealt with Bucky and always had good service, so decided not to bother with other estimates. Great Service 10/28/2009

I recently had a new furnace installed. Hinding came out and did a good job at a great price. Their prices beat the competition, and they installed the same products as companies that charge more. They did an excellent job of putting in the new furnace. They disposed of the old one and cleaned up the mess . They are very professional and have excellent customer service. I can call the office any time with any question and they answer it promptly and respectfully. I?m glad I chose Hiding and would recommend them to any one. more

Good, reliable, honest service 10/20/2009

We have done business with Hinding for many years and have found their service to be honest and very reliable. One of the pros for us is that we see the same serviceman every time. He knows our system very well and we don't have to take time explaining anything. We use them for regular maintenance and an occasional repair. more

Customer Service 9/24/2009

We had a problem with our central air conditioner this summer and had to have a service call on it. In calling the company that originally installed it a few years ago we discovered they have since gone out of business. Not knowing who else to call we asked around and were referred to Hinding Heating & Air Conditioning. They not only came out promptly and resolved our problem but also honored our remaining warranty. The gentleman that came to our house had to come out twice in fact and never once acted like it was an inconveience for him to do so. Hinding obviously went out of their way to satisfy us. I will recommend them to anyone that I know needs any kind of heating or air conditioning service in the future. Great job guys. Pros: Best customer service by a company in a long time more

They are so COOL! 8/12/2009

We had our furnace and A/C installed by Hinding over 12 years ago. Unfortunately on Saturday, August 8th a capacitor in the A/C system gave up and the the house could not be cooled. We called on Monday morning (after a warm Sunday without A/C) and they were able to get the system up and running within 15 minutes! This will be a hot and humid week, so we really appreciate the quick service to keep us cool! E ven our cats were happy at the service, since they could cuddle up to the vents to cool off once the A/C started working again! more

Hinding Heating is reliable. I have had an air conditioner & recently a high efficiency furnace installled by this company.They will absolutely stand behind their product & service. The most recent example is coming to my home 3 times in 1 day to get my air conditioner running. In years past they won me over when an owner came out to fix our air conditioning after my husband called urgently & left a message explaining that his uncle's funeral luncheon was at our home that day. My inlaws previously owned our home & had bought from & recommended Hinding when we were replacing products. Interestingly Hinding had put the original furnace in our home when it was in a newly built housing development srea 50+ years ago. I can tell you I will never again buy anything from large, well known SEARS, after repeatedly trying & failing locally & at corporate office to get a response to my hot water heater installation problem. Purchasing from a family owned company such as Hinding definitely has sold me on a company taking ownership of its customer's requests. The only con I can think of is that they are not available on weekends. more

Great Service 6/17/2009

We recently had both Central Air and a new high efficiency furnace installed in our home in the Mac-Grove Neighborhood. Brian with Hinding was prompt to show up for appointments. He was able to evaluate the property, determine our need , and had the product delivered and installed by knowledgeable people at the time that was agreed on which was important to our schedule.
