Buyer Beware!!!!\r Bought a 82"" Helena Reclaimed Wood Bookcase which was marked $699 but when I picked it up noticed I was charged $899 which was $200 more than had been priced initially It came in 2 sizes 82 "" and 102"" both of which I saw on their sales floor. When I questioned the manager he said it only came in one size and price was correct. I informed him had seen both and sales person had offered 102 "" model to me for $899 regularly $1200 I declined as it was too high for my space. Manager informed me again It only came in 82"" size. I requested a refund and informed him that I felt they were not being honest; . Miraculously all floor models were gone when i went back to pick up my purcahse so I had no proof, wish I had taken a photo of the tag the previous weekend. I felt they were being dishonest and got a refund. I found the 102"" online at lamps plus so there are infact 2 sizes. These people are scammers in my opinion so be careful. Will never go back. more

The management is very unprofessional and their stock guys harass the female employees and customers. The managers do not understand respect or common curtosy. I really loved the concept of this store but don't let them fool you its all junk, even the fabric is over priced. more

I bought a set of curtains on sale. Knowing that sale items can't often be returned, i asked about their return policy and the manager gave me two days to return. That was Monday, about 6:30 pm. I went home and hung curtains. The next day we decided we love the curtains, but not the color. Pros: great selection of stuff. Cons: horrible customer service - return policy is ridiculous! more

I liked this leather chair that had a 50% off the price on it, when I asked to purchase 2 of them, they told me the posted price was not the correct price and the chair should have been $1229 instead of $1059. I asked them to honor the price that was showing on the tag that was attached to the chair, and the manager told me he did not need to make the sale and would not sell them. When I was surprised and told him aren't you in the business to sell he said ""no I am in the business to make money"" and I don't need to sell. I have been shopping for a sofa for several months, and I found myself leaving every furniture store I visited thinking ""There have to be better furniture stores than this in Houston!"" Then a friend told me about High Fashion Home - it was EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Granted, furniture is very personal. But if you've been to Louis Shanks, Noel, Ethan Allen, Star, etc. (all of which are fine stores, if that's your style) and can't find what you're looking for, GO TO HIGH FASHION HOME. I would describe the general style as modern/chic but classic. The sales people are very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful (my mom called with a general description of something she was looking for, and by the end of the day, a salesperson had emailed her pictures of several items matching her description... she bought one of them). They have an extensive selection (and not just furniture... they carry lamps, rugs, art, etc.) - four huge floors (the space is well organized, making it easy to navigate). Styles, fabrics, and construction materials you will not find anywhere else in Houston. High quality for very reasonable prices (I got a sofa, armchair, and ottoman, all in one of the highest-grade fabrics, for about $3500, including tax and delivery).
