We saw Hido while we were in its shopping center and decided to give it a whirl. After all, there was a great many people going in. We came in and were seated. The place was gorgeous inside and had a crowd. My old co-worker from Benihana, where I used to work was our waitress. She took forever to ask us for our drink orders and food orders. My family and I are used to going to HB and I guess expected too much with this place. My mom always gets tempura shrimp/vegetables, onion soup, and fried rice. USUALLY fried rice is cooked hibachi style right in front of you (after all, the menu states that it is ""hibachi rice""). My old co worker refused to allow my mom to have her rice cooked on the hibachi, and therefore she had to have some pre-cooked fried rice from the kitchen. My mom was angry at this, of course. My chicken was extremely dry, the fried rice had no garlic butter and very little soy sauce for flavor. I can always judge if a Japanese place is good by its fried rice, and this was poor!
Pros: Absolutely nothing, the bar was pretty
Cons: Horrible food, bad service, overpriced
