Editorial review from Citysearch 2/25/2014

I should start out by saying the staff, with the exception of the front desk staff, is amazing. I had a facial from April, massage from Danielle, pedicure (I didn't catch her name), and hair cut by Kristen. They were all nice and very helpful. Danielle was by far my favorite. Very knowledgeable and great at what she does. If you need a massage, book her and you'll be in good hands, literally.\r \r I should have left today on cloud 9, but instead have been irritated all day about being overcharged. I booked my massage and called to ask if I could schedule a haircut at the end. There is an online price listed for a men's trim, but women's cuts also have a shampoo and styling for $35. I called to ask if I could just get the trim and not the others, and was told yes. It is supposed to be 60 minutes for the shampoo, trim and styling and I was told just the trim only would be about 20 minutes. That was all the time I had, so I was happy about it. \r \r Low and behold, not BEFORE the service, but only after was I informed I would be charged the full amount. The front desk lady was very rude and could tell I was upset at this. She made no effort to make me happy and ensure I was a repeat customer by adjusting the price for services I had not received anyway. They didn't have to perform the additional services, and I was also only there one fourth of the time for the whole service, so I was not taking business time or additional supplies. There was no justification to still charge me for additional services when I only wanted and only received one.\r \r This was my second time at the spa and unfortunately, will be my last. It's a shame because I would have loved more massages with Danielle and facials by April, but left with such a bad taste in my mouth, I will never return. Even adjusting my hair service price by $10 would have ensured hundreds of dollars of repeat business from me. I guess the front desk lady didn't see it that way, and the full $35 was worth enough to lose a customer, in her opinion. more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 3/28/2011

I loved this spa and salon. I am the maid of honor for my sister's wedding and decided for her bachelorette party to have a full day even starting with the spa at Hideaway. This exceeded our expectations. They were very flexible about scheduling (which helped because a few girls dropped out at last minute). As soon as we walked in, we got registered immediately and got offered water or other drinks. I got my hair styled and loved the way she did it. The bride got the Bridal shower packaged and loved every party of it. She told me everything was very nice and she couldn't have asked for anything more. We were constantly asked if we needed refills on drinks and if we were doing okay. Because we did have a large amount of people there, they were nice enough to let us be in the same room together (the mani/pedi room) so we could enjoy each other's company and socialize. All the staff in all the departments were very friendly and professional. We all come out of the spa with bright smiles on our faces! Thanks for a great experience! I will definitely be back! more

Relaxing 2/24/2010

Lovely little spa in the Eagle Mountain Lake area. I was very surprised to see a spa in this area. Don't let location fool you though. This is a mid- to high-end spa offering a range of services in a calming and relaxing environment. The facility is very nice and clean with really nice rooms, soothing spa music and candlelight. There's even a large massage room set up specifically for couple's massage with two tables. Upon arriving, I was offered something to drink, iced raspberry tea with fresh berries. My only issue is that there's no locker room or changing room. Slippers, robes and wraps are hung in each room along with a bag to carry your things with you. This has its pros and cons. I personally prefer a locker room, but others may need or prefer having their things with them at all times. My facial was good. Despite the esthetician seeming quite young (and maybe a bit nervous?), she did a great job and my skin looked and felt amazing afterward! The massage therapist was good as well, although a bit on the rough side (for me) and seemed a bit rushed. She was still very polite though, did a great massage and my sore shoulder felt much better afterward. Prices at this spa are in the upper range, but from my experience, it's right on par with comparable spas. Besides, the quality of services and overall experience offered here warrant the price. Truly a little gem ""hidden away"", but totally worth the drive! I highly recommend!! Pros: Friendly, relaxing, great services Cons: No locker room more
