Best

We have been going to this resort for years. The owners are awesome people, and work very hard to make their customers happy. The cabins are clean and we love to stay there when...

Worst

Owner does not treat people well....very rude selfish angry person. Does not know how to treat people only cares about herself!! Phony!!!! Happy camping

Can't help the rain 6/25/2011

As the owners of Henley's, we would like to say that we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We ran out of firewood that night, but we have since found a new supply!! We do state in our rules that we don't give refunds, although we have given them in special cases. Unfortunately, if we gave a refund for every time it rained, we would definitely go broke! lol. We do strive to have this as a family camp, we ask for quiet time at 10 pm, but some people don't want to follow the rules. In closing, we really did not appreciate that you spread your garbage all over your camp site in order to express your disapproval. As a side note, we keep our dog on a leash, and he has never bitten anyone in his 13 yrs of life! We do have many customers who do appreciate the hard work that we do, but you are entitled to your opinion! more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$ !!!!! 6/21/2011

My 11 year old daughter and I stayed here. That was our first mistake. Our second? Not leaving after the first night. We arrived on a Friday. Met some nice people that had kids, so they were all happy playing together. I tried to buy firewood from the staff, but was told they don't have any, yet they have a sign that showed they do. They also told me they did on the phone, so I thought I would buy it there. Not so. The second day, the people that we had met the first night packed up and left. They said they had asked for a credit due to leakage of their tent, but that they would return the following weekend. They were told, ""No. We won't stay in business if we do things like that."" I guess this place must have tons of people to choose from, as they won't be back, nor will their 5 other groups they camp with....nor will I. On Saturday night, a group of very loud, drunk and disorderly people came and started raising h*ll while my daughter and I were trying to relax and enjoy our fire (the fire pits suck). I tried to go over to the staffs' office, but they were closed. I tried to go to their onsite trailer, but their dog almost bit me. My daughter and I packed up and left. We will never go back there again. Save your money and spend it some place where they know how to treat their customers right...this isn't the place. more

awsome!!! 5/14/2011

The g/f and I decided to find a place to go on the water where we could find a cabin. Called a few places nut dogs were not allowed. I think on the 4th or 5th page of looking on google I found this place and the g/f called and they had a cabin and also allowed dogs. Arrived on 5/14/11 at around 7:15pm and checked in and got in the cabin. Very nice little cabin and very clean. Went out to the dock and did some catfishing and caught a few and missed a few. The dock is huge and very nice with benches on it. Seemes like the best place to catch the catfish was on either end of the dock casting towards shore. We ended up with only 4 fish and missed another 4 or 5 fish and the g/f got all but one. We gave the fish to a group that had more then us because 4 fish is not worth the effort of cleaning. Woke up the next day and launched the boat. Boat ramp is gravel and nice. Had to take the shoes off which i am used to so I could get the boat off the trailer. Bass fishing was excellent landed a 4lb, 3lb and 2 smaller ones. Lost a 3lber twice in a row same fish and had another nice one break me off. Had about a 6lber hit my top water but couldnt get him to hit again. Lost of fish jumping everyone. The owners are very nice and helpful. The boats they rent out are nice little alluminum boats but I brought my own. The site is very nice and have already reserved the same cabin for memorial day weekend. Only 45min away and a great place to get away. Cant wait for memorial day weekend for more catfish and bass. Only down side of the weekend was I had a screw stuck in my tire but a fellow fisherman let me use his d/c pump and left earlier then I wanted to get the tire fixed more

Great Location for Family Camping! 5/2/2011

My family and I went camping their in early April of this year when we visited the NW Trek. We were very pleased with our experience at this resort. We had never been there and did not know what to expect. My brother rented and RV spot and my husband and I rented a cabin. The owners offered us the cabin with children's beds so they had rails on the side for our toddler! The cabins were much nicer than anticipated. Beautiful and safe location on the water. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Tried to accomadate us the best they could. We will all be returning there. more

Great Bass Fishing 3/1/2011

This place is great. The boat launch does need to be fixed, but other than that good fishing. My buddy and I caught two large mouth bass, total weight 9.4lbs. not bad. The new owners are great. Thanks. more

Henley's Silver Lake Resort 11/30/2010

I am sure you were at some other Silver Lake, not Henley?s Silver Lake Resort. There are a few Silver Lakes in Washington State. Henley's Silver Lake Resort is located just 6 miles from the lovely town of Eatonville, Washington. Silver Lake is based at the foot of Mt. Rainier about 20 miles to the west. It is a small spring-fed lake, nestled in the wetlands of Pierce County. Henley's Silver Lake Resort is a family camp and we do not promote any behavior that does not support that. We are a peaceful, fun and beautiful camp. Henley?s Resort raise and feed 30,000 rainbow trout in pens throughout the winter. They are released into Silver Lake in early April, when they have reached about 6 to 8 inches in length. Washington State also release trout into Silver Lake. Fishing Season at Silver Lake opens April 30th this year and runs until late October. Silver Lake hosts a variety of fish. As well as rainbow trout, we have large mouth bass, perch, crappies, catfish, and blue gill. Until recently German Browns were also stocked. Although they are no longer stocked, there are still the holdovers, as witnessed by the local fisherman. My husband and I became the new owners of Henley's Silver Lake Resort in August 2010. Please come and fish on our 200 ft dock or rent a row boat. We have 6 cabins and 18 RV sites as well as a grassy park for camping. We know that you will love it as much as we do! worst trip 10/19/2010

me and my fishing partner go and try new lakes all the time. we passed up going to a lake where we new would have a great time to try silver lake. the staff was exteamly rude. it was like camping in a parking lot, bad fire pits. we were warned not to leave anything in our boat because the tweekers down the way would come and steal are stuff. fishing was the worst. we tried everything in our tackle box (hundreds of dolllars worth of gear). we wanted to camp in the grass and they said no it wasnt open for the season yet. (we went in the month of may). when we came back from fishing the next day people were camping in the grass. the place is a crap hole i will never waste my time there ever again. they really need to get there sh** togeather. i would advise people not to go there more

Wonderful 4th of July 8/23/2010

I was at the resort on the 4th of July. We were there from 5:00pm until 11:00pm. The owner had a community bomb fire complete with complimentary hot dogs, chips, and soda. The fireworks were on the beach and the dock What a display they had as well as the homeowners on the lake. I saw the owner go around and let customers know that fireworks were done at 11:00pm. My family had a great time and I highly recommend Henley Silver Lake Resort. I have never seen customers treated rudely by staff. I loved it there and so do my friends and family. We have been going there for years. Everyone goes through tough times, but these last 2 years have been fantastic. more

I would never go back here again 7/5/2010

My family and I have visited this resort a few years in a row for July 4th and have always had a pleasant experience until this year. We were treated rudely by staff, almost attacked by other visitors' dogs and the staff obviously had no control over other tenants as there were drunks wandering around our cabin doors, loud and obnoxious with fireworks until almost 3am. I would have overlooked the other tenants but the staff was not apologetic or helpful at all after several complaints. I will never take my family here again and I encourage potential visitors to reconsider ever visiting this place. I will be telling all of my friends and family the same. Never have I seen such unorganized, rude and unfriendly staff at an establishment. Spend your money elsewhere. Pros: used to be a nice place to go Cons: horrible staff and management more
