Very expensive, but they have a lot of cool items (handbags especially) if you can afford them. Their hours are a little weird, but whatever. They mostly have jewelry, handbags, fancy pens, and other tchotchkes. Fun to browse around, but the sales staff can be a little snooty and follow you around the store. more

Hello World has a lot of funky, electric and great items. It is a little pricey, but you are bound to impress the recipient if you buy a gift there. On prominent display in the window is some of the cutest purses you have ever seen! inside, you will find lamps, pillows, knick knacks, accessories, jewelry - some new, some vintage. Hello World feels like a store you want to open - the owners pick whatever catches their eyes and most of it will catch your eyes too. Most things here are one of a kinds or very hard to find and it's definitely worth a trip to browse about aimlessly, as I spend many a Saturday doing. more

Perfect things for anyone who likes jewelry, scarves, or home decor that's more about quality and design than anything else. more

eclectic store 10/20/2005

Hello World is a fun and eclectic store in Philly. They sell vintage and new merchandise – mostly pieces for your home. The vintage pieces are in surprisingly great shape, and even though the prices are high, you won’t feel ripped off. It is a fantastic store for unique jewelry. I have bought many items here and each one is treasured because I have never seen anything else like it. This store is just really neat and worth your time. more

Hip store 8/7/2005

I did not know where to classify Hello World, because it is small but they have a little bit of everything. Most of the stuff here are small furniture and home decor items, but they also carry personal items such as jewelry, wallets, bags, totes, and sometimes even sandals! Everything is chic and different. This is a great place to find a last minute gift for a picky person. more
