Hawaii's Best Theatre 12/31/2005

Looking to attend a world renowned show that you thought only performed in NY or CA? Well, Hawaii Theatre only hosts the best boardway shows in Hawaii. They are constantly coming out with new events that we never thought would be shown in Hawaii. The tickets are a little pricey but every show is worth the money. The ticket prices also have a maintenance fee attached to it to upkeep this older theatre. The historical feel of the theatre is what draws a lot of people this place. more

Every seat is a good seat 10/5/2005

I love the historic downtown theatre. I think the theatre is what gives downtown its life and soul during the night. I have seen a few shows there and I enjoyed it everytime. The prices are a bargain for major broadway shows and every seat is a great seat. Near the theatre are also a few good bars to stop in such Indigos. more

Great Music 9/4/2005

I enjoy coming to the Hawaii Theater to listen to different bands play different music such as swingtime, jazz, and classical. I have been to many performances that included local greats such as Melveen Leed, Keahi Conjugacion, Gabe Baltazar, and others. more

Historic Theater in Downtown Honolulu 7/10/2005

If you want a taste of old colonial Hawaii & a nice night out, then check out a show at the Hawaii Theater. It isn't what you'd expect from the early 1900's here in Hawaii with the painted Greek murals framed by gold leaf pillars and red velvet curtains. Some great annual shows are the Falsetto competition (Hawaiian Falsetto), jazz revue, and slack key guitar competitions to name a few. The website offers all the information on upcoming shows. It is very easy to get to, but difficult to park at. Local parking can be very expensive & the area at night tends to be a little shady and is the "Red Light District" of Honolulu. I recommend taking a taxi from Waikiki or parking at a restaurant, have dinner & get validated. more
