simply the best 5/23/2015

Dr. Hanks and the staff at this clinic have got to be by far the best. I took my little guy in on an emergency and she saw him right away. I was concerned becuz Chopper doesn't like anyone, however, when her assistant took him from me, I wanted to cry. He did so good with Chopper and everyone there made us feel much calmer than when we had walked in. She even got down on the floor at one point and sat with Chopper and myself to explain his condition. I had to go in the following week for more meds but didn't have $$ to cover it. I got choppers meds that day without a wait and it was added to my bill. Prices here are very doable but Dr. Hanks and the staff is what makes it the best vet clinic I've ever been to. more

Hanks rocks 3/4/2015

When I want to Dr.Hanks office to put my first dog down she tried everything to make him better but couldn't and he had been going to her for 13 years!! And when it came time she was crying her head off! I couldn't be more grateful! more

Happy & Healthy 5/13/2014

It's very apparent from reading the reviews that some people have waited too long to seek treatment for their poor animals and allowed their condition to go beyond any treatment that would save them. Then they blame the vet. My dog is healthier now than before and ALWAYS gets the best of care at this animal clinic. The staff is great and this clinic has been recommended by many. We should judge people by the number of positive reviews, negative reviews are usually skewed by other's ignorance or false altogether. My little dog is in great hands here. more

O.K. For routine things such as shots but nothing else 9/8/2012

Dr. Hanks really let us down. Our sweet baby girl is dead because Dr. Hanks was either too busy to look at the blood tests correctly or she did not understand them. The DVM that our baby ended up at said the bloodwork told the story that she could have been saved if Dr. Hanks was more alert. Dr. Hank's was crying but I believe it was because she realized the awful error she made. more

Don't go to Dr. Hanks! 8/21/2010

If you are going for shots she is probably fine. If your dog is sick you should find a better vet. She is only interested is a quick diagnosis and selling you expensive products. I took my dog to her 4 times for upset stomach and she kept giving her pills and special food. Two of those visits she didn't even look at her. One day my dog started breathing heavy, so I took her to the emergency clinic. She had a belly full of tumors and I had to put her down. If Dr. Hanks had taken the time to do simple blood test or x-ray we could have known the cause of her upset stomach. Instead of being able to make her comfortable and being prepared for my pets death, I shoved needless pills and spent way too much money of worthless food. Dr. Hanks is not interested in solving your pets problems, only treating the symptoms. I trusted Dr. Hanks and she let me down. I will NEVER return to this clinic! more

Switching to Dr. Hanks 5/1/2009

We took our dog to our regular vet after she started developing tremors in her hind legs and whined and cried. He came in, looked at her, and then said, "well, I have bad news - it's distemper." When we asked what we could do, he said we would need to put her down. He did no tests at all. On recommendation from our favorite vet tech ever, we took her to Dr. Hanks for a second opinion. I'm so glad we did. She did tests, and when the news wasn't good, she still said she wanted to try - because Gertie was alert, eating and going to the bathroom. When I did the big ugly cry at the news that it was viral, Dr. Hanks was tearing up right along with me. I knew I was leaving Gertie in the hands of someone who already loved her as much as we did. That was last night. Today, we saw Gertie. She's so much better, and may get to come home tomorrow. Even if things still don't work out, I know that Dr. Hanks was rooting for her, and did everything she could. We'll be bringing our other dog (and hopefully Gertie for many years to come) to Dr. Hanks now - even though live in north Dallas. I can't recommend her enough. more

Dr. Hanks 7/31/2005

I was so very pleased when I took my KC here to be neutered. Big thumbs up to Dr. Hanks for accepting SNIP (spay and neuter your pet). I had taken my certificate there for his surgery. I have several cats and it gets quite pricey spaying/neutering them. She did his surgery for $25. He did very well and she allowed him to come home that very evening. Thanks to Dr. Hanks and staff for taking such good care of KC. Very friendly and kind and called me with updates when his surgery was over. Recommend highly. They also have Dental cleaning specials which is rare for offices to do. more
