Wish I still lived near there! 2/17/2009

I first called Hair on the Common because it was the closest salon to my apartment. I asked if anyone knew how to cut naturally curly hair, and was connected with Ginger, who gave me the most amazing haircut! So few stylists know anything about natural curls - it was actually my first good haircut. I kept going to her until I moved. Now I am hoping to find another gem who can cut my hair well...it almost seems worth it to drive the hundreds of miles back to Hair on the Common. At least I'd know for sure that I'd get a good haircut! more

the best of the best 9/28/2006

whatever it is that you desire you can find it at this salon. From mild to WILD they can do it ALL! I was treated like royalty and the shampoo tech gives the best neck massage. Quality of work was fabulous and the prices are so reasonable compared to other "5 Star" salons. they also have a myspace page. www.myspace.com/haironthecommon more

Amanda misses the mark by a mile. 5/10/2006

Amanda H. must be the former Amanda Possum of Channel 11 fame; this place is the best hair salon in North Texas, and I'd bet it outshines those in Paris (I mean France, not Texas). No one hugged me, though I wish they had. It's affordable, the stylists are true artistes, and they take in working lugs like me at 7 pm. Amanda, you got to stop inhaling those aerosol cans. Hair on the Common is uncommon....ly excellent. more

too expensive, too strange 7/27/2005

I got a haircut here on the advice of my boss. It was a mistake; I'll never go back again. It was far away from everything, way over in southwest Fort Worth. The stylist acted like she had known me for 10 years, which made me uncomfortable, frankly (she made me hug her when I left). Moreover, it was too expensive for the quality of work. more
