I have never had to use an AC company until now....I called, explained my circumstance. Where as with the current heat wave it is undertandable that I would have to wait a day or so for service HOWEVER they made accommodations and came out within hours, diagnosed the problem based off of what I told them almost before they even opened the unit new what was wrong. They had the part on the truck, installed it and within 10 minutes I had AC again! They offered me the used part to keep, which to me showed excellent character as in his words "it belonged to me" (how often do they replace items you never see or confirm were bad in the first place)The technician was very courteous and pleasant and informative. He had taken my call on the way home to his own home at 8:57pm, he did'nt have to go above and beyond but he did. As it was too late to check on a warranty he explained that I should call the next day and inquire, if there was one Guy Smoth would reimburse me the difference. I called and I'm getting $99.00 back off of the $297 I paid! So you understand I called Sears first as they installed my system, it would be 3 days till they could come out. I then Called "ONE HOUR CARES"... I'm sorry to the person who wrote that they were sooo good as they told me it would be 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS before they could come out... that "they catered to their preferred customers first", their words not mine... my guess is they don't CARE enough unless it has a $$ in front of it.. I will definitly be getting an annual maintenace contract with Guy Smith @ $149.00....... Thank you Anthony for thinking of anothers need over your own! thank you Guy Smith for being there and being so accomodating when I needed you! I cannot speak to other comments be they negative or positive but I can say always get more than one quote, weigh the differences and chose whats best for you. Don't blame the company when things cost more than you expect, you have to do your homework..
