A must see..... 7/27/2010

I see Grants Farm hasn't had a review since '08. Here is just an update. $12 for parking so pack your car with as many people as you can. Unless you want to take a special tour you can take the normal one at no additional cost and you can take it again and again if you want until closing. I hope it becomes part of the National Park Service because I would hate to see this 281 acre site ever get developed. Outside of going to the Arch this is a must see on your visit to St. Louis. Read the other reviews and you will get a feel for the ambiance. I try and go at least once a year. Pros: Great tour Cons: Food and drink prices more

It's Redundant, but True--""Something for Everyone"" 8/1/2008

A true variety of sights and activities that left our family totally enthused and pleased with our experiences there! Sure, the food is over priced (we brought our own) and the layout turns into one long Anheuser-Busch advertisement by the end (the stable was cool until you see that it is one long homage to the Busch family's fixation on show horses), but we were very satisfied with what we found. And, of course, the Clydesdales are absolutely gorgeous animals, and tolerated the attention very well. One item of note--the baby goats are adorable, but with the bottle feedings they become very aggressive...one actually bruised my daughter's shin by ramming her, and another climbed up onto a little girl's back and took a sizeable bite of her hair...\r \r WARNING--a rumor was going around that the Busch family is slowly shutting the place down, which would be a serious crime. Enjoy it while you can! Pros: Wide variety of activities and sights Cons: Food prices and the overall ""Busch-ness"" of the place more

Well Worth the Visit 6/25/2003

Grant's Farm was awesome! I was skeptical about it being another ""zoo"" to visit, but it was so much more. I suggest going early in the day to avoid crowds and heat. We're going back in a month because we loved it so much! Pros: Inexpensive, Family Friendly more

Dont go to Grants Farm 5/24/2003

Overcrowded therefore unenjoyable, no way to avoid crowds. Busloads of day care and field trips are not limited. What used to be a top attraction is now free advertising for Anheuser Busch with no concern for their visitors quality unless you can figure out how to book a VIP tour in one of the private jeeps. more

A great place to go! 12/18/2002

Where else can you see such exotic animals in their natural habitat roaming free? Where else can you do all of this for free? Pros: Great parking, Great transportation, Great prices on food Cons: Not open year-round more

Kangaroos, Flamingos and Camels! 8/28/2002

Sure, there's the zoo, but why go there when you an get up close and personal with the animals at Grant's Farm? At Grant's Farm you can ride the tram and see the animals from different lands and then pet the animals and see the horses. A great place to spend the day and bring the family! Pros: cheap more

Pet A Peacock. 8/20/2002

Grant's Farm is a great place to take the whole family for an educational and fun outing. more

BEST FAMILY OUTING $ PRICE 8/18/2002

The only thing I didn`t like was line cutters and some attractions were unexpanably empty and or animals not where stated. Pros: friendly attendants Cons: line cutting more

Visit often if you get the chance. 8/7/2002

This is the best place to take out of town guests, or even just to visit, yourself. We go here a lot. It's free, the views are gorgeous, the tram ride through the animal park is so cool! I've never been so close to wild animals in a natural setting. I think it is better than the STL zoo. Plus, you get free beer. What more could you want? Pros: Free, Fun, Interact with nature Cons: crowds more

Good clean family fun 7/29/2002

I attended the St. Louis City Zoo the day before I had the pleasure of attending Grants Farm and If you have to pick between the two choose Grants Farm My kids enjoyed the animals as well as an interesting lesson in History. I will take the 9 hour time many times again if the goog lord willing !!! Kim Tilley P.S. It is Totally 100% FREE Beer and all !!! more

History, babygoats and ice cold Beer 7/29/2002

Unlike the St. Louis zoo you get a tram ride into the interior of the park to get in and the animals can be very up close and personal like on a controlled safari. My kids like to go at least once a year just to feed the baby goats, the animal shows are free too! the tram ride include good information on Gen. Grant as well as the Busch family. Best of all you get so sample homegrown beer products making worth the adults time too1 We have a great time every time we go. Pros: great parking, free more

Kid's Attraction 7/26/2002

Very nice and attraction. Beautiful setting. Close up view of animals. Pros: Inexpensive, Descent parking Cons: Crowded more

Free,Free,Free 7/23/2002

This is a must see in the St. Louis area. It is free to visit although you have to pay for items like food and beverages (except the complimentary beer) I reccomend Amber Bach. The best way to visit is to call ahead and get reservations. Besides the AB brewery tour this is the only place to get up close and see the ""World Famous"" Buswieser Clydsdales. Don't forget the bird shows and the prarie dogs are funny. more

Free and Fun 5/15/2002

What is it about St. Louis? So many top-notch attractions, many of which are absolutely free (the zoo, Forest Park). Grant's Farm is another great example. It's also completely unique to St. Louis, the kind of place you won't find anywhere else in the country. Definitely a great place for kids, tourists, school field trips, or a family daytrip. Pros: It's free!, Totally unique more
