Jane is the best! I moved from NYC to Illinois and book appointments with her whenever I'm visiting. Borris, Yuki, and Jane make you feel right at home without any pressure. I have had people stop me in the street to compliment my hair. She really understands hair and your needs. I'm only scared that she'll become to popular to fit me in when I move back!! Jane is the best! I moved from NYC to Illinois and book appointments with her whenever I'm visiting. Borris, Yuki, and Jane make you feel right at home without any pressure. A rare find... reviews cannot adequately describe the experience. One visit to the salon and you are hooked... I am! A relaxed, intimate atmosphere... Jane, Yuki, and Boris, were extremely hospitable (yet, it did not feel as though they were pretending)... it felt like i knew them all before... it was comfortable... their attitude was genuine! I was welcomed and offered a spritzer or something to cool me down (it was a hot day). Later, I was offered some freshly made organic ice tea. The shampoo and massage are designed to spoil you. Yuki consulted with me regarding what i wanted. I got a great cut. I referred to Jane for information on haircoloring... she is very knowledgable. Aside from the excellent service... I truely appreciate the unpretentiousness of the entire experience. Pros: Atmosphere, Skill, Price more

Nothing Spectacular 1/5/2004

I went there on the Citysearch sale... the usual haircut price is $80 but the sale made it $60. My haircut came out nice but it wasn't anything spectacular or *outstanding*. I felt I got a good deal for $60. I might have felt a tad bit ripped off if I paid the full $80 though.. I usually get my haircuts at another pricey salon for about $90 but the detail in the cuts always come out phenomenal at my usual salon place. The head massage was great though... the atmosphere and staff were wonderful! Very unpretentious and cozy to the max... I really like that. Just for the cute cozy atmosphere at Grace Heaven and nice clean cuts I might go back... my stylist was precise and asked a ton of questions about my home styling. Pros: cozy unpretentious, knowledgable, precise cuts Cons: transportation is FAR, $80 for a haircut?... more

Grace Heaven is a perfect salon: small, warm, friendly, with natural products and the small space is stuffed with talent. I got an amazing haircut and color, the best shampoo massage in the city, some delicious iced tea and an afternoon of relaxation. Jane and everyone are really warm and neighborhoody. After cuts from Bumble and Bumble to Rumor to a million other places, I think I've finally found the perfect place for me...and probably for anyone else too! Pros: Friendly, Best shampoo massage, Not scary more

Love My Cut 7/30/2003

I recently had a haircut/highlight done by Yuki. He made me feel at home and was very thorough and professional with his work. He also asked me detailed questions about my preferences throughout the time, making me feel that he was paying attention to and incorporating my input in doing his work. The salon is intimate but I didn't feel that it was cramped or too small - the bathroom is small but I love what they did with the decor! I highy recommend Yuki and the salon.
