Girvan Grille

This was our second time coming to try some ghost wings. The first time we checked online and it had later hours for the kitchen so we went in. Kitchen was closed bar was still opened and we were disappointed. That was in the beginning of the year. The gf and I decided to go back last night. Was greeted nicely and brought to our table. Then the hostess gave us Happy Hour menu's along with the regular menu's. We arrived at 8:45pm and the Happy Hour menu said Happy Hour starts from 8-10pm Sunday to Thursday. So we decided on the Happy Hour Menu and ordered our drinks and food. The food was good we got our ghost wings, dragon wings and korean taco's. We also had a couple of Furious as well. All was good till we saw our bill. WE WE'RE CHARGED FULL PRICE! We then asked our server whats the deal? We ordered from the Happy Hour menu. His excuse, ""I'm new and Happy Hour doesn't start till 9pm."" Then he goes saying that the winter hours are different from the summer hours. O.o Serious this place is a joke. Had I known that from the beginning I would have been more prepared with the bill. Even my second beer which I had ordered during now happy hour around 9:30 was charged full price. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK AND LET EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THE HORRIBLE HOURS AT THIS PLACE. THE STUPID THING IS HE SAW US ORDERING FROM THE HAPPY HOUR MENU AS WE WERE POINTING THINGS OUT FROM THE MENU AND DID NOT MENTION IT TO US AT ALL ABOUT THE HOURS!!! more

Went to the try the brunch for the first time, as I am scouting out places to hold a family celebration. The decision will be easy..........we will not be back! The breakfast buffett is set up in a very odd location......kind of a hallway/foyer. They had an assortment of breakfast items and soup. Can't quite figure out why someone would want vegetable beef soup with their eggs and bacon, but truthfully the soup was the best thing on the buffett. The spinach, mushroom quiche was inedible, the stuffed french toast was boring, and the biscuits and gravy had absolutely no taste. Everything was cold Both times that I went through the line, they were out of eggs. I would compare this brunch to the free breakfast that you get at a cheap hotel chain, such as Hampton Inn........actually most Hampton Inns have a much better selection with more flavor. more

Many of us in the North Metro frequent the Girvan Grille for their brunch. Why there is rarely a line I don't know. The restaurant is quite nice and looks out over the golf course; the service is exemplary; the spread of food is top-shelf Pros: Fantastic buffet spread Cons: Fantastic buffet spread. Really, there are NO cons! more

As a man who travels quite a bit for work, and eats in restaurants for nearly 95% of his meals I have to say that Girvan Grille is one of my favorites. After hearing about this place through colleagues i decided to try them out. The service was nothing but stellar, the server was extremely knowledgeable and flexible with my food allergies. The food was fast and delicious (steak-Filet MIgnon) and the beer was cold. Pros: Service Staff Cons: Large parking lot more
