I was not quite sure after some of the bad reviews but my sister who moved with Gentle Movers many times in the past highly recommended to go with them.. I am very satisfied with them. Moving with Gentle movers was a NIGHTMARE. They were continuously late, held our items for ransom, and charged us a storage fee when they diddn't deliver on time. I strongly suggest NOT working with this company! more

Avoid, avoid, avoid. NOTHING went right. Late, slow, expensive, and damage to the condo everywhere they went. Complete nightmare. Their truck took, no exaggerating, four times longer to drive across town than me in my car. How do they get any customers? more

"unreliable and unprofessional firm. they talk a good game but their execution is terrible (to be kind). they will give you a low estimate to win the business but the actual cost is more than other firms. i have used high quality firms such as gentle giants and maldoon in the past and i think gentle movers is a sham and should not be in business!" more

Unfortunately hired them to store and move my staff. By the time it arrived at my new home several items were stolen by Gentle Movers people. Stay away from them. more

They will find different ways to take more money from you after they take your furniture. Don't believe anything they tell you. more

The woman that said this freaking thiefts are good must either be related to them or work for them, because NO ONE has had a good experience. Furniture damaged, delivery two weeks later than agreed, rude and sneaky by phone, they hanged up on me three times and asked me to contact their freaking driving to find out about an APROXIMATE DELLIVERY DATE!! DON'T HIRE! THEY WILL ROB YOU! more

I just wanted you to know that the 3 movers you sent for my move on Saturday, 10/27 were terrific. There were more than careful and worked very quickly. I will definitely recommend Gentle Movers to my family and Friends. more

Do not use this company!!! The 2 guys that they sent to move my things broke my mothers china trying to come out of a bedroom off the kitchen that he was rambling in. The other guy broke a new window in my house as well as my entertainment center. They overcharged me (600.00) by "milking hours" to move a sofa (that they couldn't bring in the house through double doors), freezer, entertainment center, bedroom set!!!!!! The manager was very rude stating that i could have broken these things myself. The company gave me the run around for over 4 months, i filed a claim with the better business bureau to no avail as gentle movers never responded. Save your money and move your things yourself, you will be better off and save tons of money!!!!! more

Not happy with the way they did business. Crazy, my paycheck wasn't on time. I had to leave. I don't recommend this company. Stick with the big guys. At least you have health insurance there. Stay away. more

My boyfriend tried to use the Gentle Movers and storage to simplify his move, but they ended up complicating things tenfold. First they were 6+ hours late the day he was to put his things on the truck to go into storage. This put the moving truck in the middle of rush hour traffic in the North End, and THEN they claimed that it was going to take 5 hours to move a few boxes, a couch, a bed and a dresser so they would need permits from the city and would have to come back another time. 5 HOURS for a couch, a bed, and a dresser???? What!?!?!? Then they tried to charge my boyfriend $224 for moving nothing! $95 for the hour of them appearing (after us waiting for 6 hours on them) + the additional $127 to obtain permits (which only cost $35 at most) from the city. My boyfriend finally gave in and paid the $95 for the hour, but said he would get the permit himself from city hall. When he called the moving company the next day to schedule the time that he should get the permit for, they started giving him the run-around again. He finally cut his losses and decided it was easier to move himself and put his own things into storage himself.... Imagine how much it would have cost if they actually moved anything?!?!?!?!? more
