Definitely not worth the price. While some meat was fine, there was alot that was mediocre at best. Everybody in our party thought so. And tips must be mandatory since they actually came over to complain to one of us on the low tip. Pros: good salad bar Cons: mediocre meat, rude head waiter more

Awesome!!!!!! . . . .Awesome!!!!! ..... Awesome!!! 8/22/2009

If you could spend $30 instead of $50 for Fogo De Chao would you? Well, you can but go to Fuegovivo. Food was awesome all around. Salad bar was massive and Staff was spectacular.\r \r If you ever left Fogo saying that it was good but not worth $50 then go to Fuegovio . . . . I f you ever left Fogo and had to wait around for that one meat you really like to come around, then go to Fuegovivo . . . . If you ever had poor service or had to wait in line at the salad bar, then go to Fuegovio !\r \r Pros: Meat quality, Service Cons: Some meats were a bit too salty more

best steaks 1/27/2009

I have been going fogo da chao long time but after fuegovivo I gave up. Fuegovivo's meats are more delicious\r hot off the grill, they serve more often than fogo da chao. Service is a lot better, cheaper, parking very easy.\r No waiting. Around salad bar is empty. before become popular you'd better go.42.95 a little expensive\r it should be cheaper ,that's why weekdays they are barely crowded.More portuguese spoken there.\r Brazillian nationals prefer this restaurant. Fogo da chao is much more American style. Pros: parking, service quality, not crowded Cons: pricey, out of loop, more

Great Food and Great Service 10/6/2008

We recently visited Fuegovivo and had an amazing dining experience. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. May I recommend the house speciality sirloin. There is plenty of parking and the place is located in a nice well-lit shopping center. We are definately going back and are adding this steakhouse to our favorites. Pros: Food, Service, Pricing, Parking Cons: none! more

wonderful dinning experience 7/16/2008

My wife and I have been going to Fogo Da Chao for years and always enjoyed it. BUT we believe we have found a better Churrascaria in Fuegovivo. The food has a wonderful flavour, even their sausage and chicken was great, is perfectly cooked and the servers are delighted to give you as much as you want each time they come to your table, which is often, when you card is green. Assortment is on a par with other high end Churrascarias so we did not feel anything was missing. My wife is fond of Lamb chops and she was blown away with the flavour she experienced. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is much more relaxed than Fogo and they do not rush you with the bill in order to move you out ASAP so they can use your table again. Parking is adequate. We highly recommend it and if you want to impress somone, take them there, we will be regulars. Pros: The food and the people Cons: none more

this is not Brazilian 7/9/2008

$12.00 for a papaya cream never again and they forgot to blend it there was pieces i did not enjoy it at all , my meat has to be rare but i think they don't know the temperature they kept bringing well done even when i requested rare and they say it is brazilian, well the name is in Spanish and chimichurry is very popular in south of Brazil that was one time only never go back again should listened to my friends \r Pros: planty of parking Cons: every thing inside more

MEAT!!! 7/4/2008

There is a card on the table, with one side green and the other red, for each person. As long as the green side is turned on, all kinds of meats are brought to you one by one by brazilian dressed servers. All you have to do is to decide which ones you want and the meats are put from the skewers to your plate. Some meats are cut from the skewers in which case you grab the piece of meat with tongs. Feel free to tell the server whick part of the meat you want to be cut or whether you want it well fried or not. To get the idea of what the meats look like go to the webpage of the restaurant (just google Fuegovivo). The good thing is that you can get your meat little by little and so always have it warm.\r \r There is a salad bar which is actually more like a full buffet. Besides the salad and vegetable stuff there were shrimp, oysters, salmon, rice, beans, soup, some sweet stuff, and some deli and cheese stuff. It was very helpfull because you can't eat meat all the time.\r They also brought us hot appetizers. There was cheesebread, fried bananas, polenta and yuca. We kept asking for more cheesebread and bananas.\r \r There was no actual menu. There was just a single price for everything. The lunch on weekdays was cheaper than dinner though and there was a cheaper option to eat from salad bar only. And I think it was cheaper for dhildren under 12. You order the drinks and the desserts separately.\r \r It is very similar to Fogo de Chao. But Fuegovivo is not as expensive. And because it is new it was not as busy, so there were more tables to choose from and waiters were more attentive. Most of the time we did not need to ask for anything. The moment I finished my soda they would refill it (except I think the brazilian soda which we had to order again). They kept our water glasses full and when they felt that we wanted a fresh plate they would offer one. In fact I got two plates, one for the meat and one for the salads.\r \r A perfect place for all occasions. Pros: Good food, good service Cons: Nothing comes up in my mind more

Great food and an awesome experience! 6/11/2008

My husband and I went to Fuego last night for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. First off the service was great, we had reservations for 6:30 but arrived at 6:10 and were seated immeadiately without a hitch. The salad bar was great offering many different varieties from olives to smoked salmon. Finally, the meat was fantastic, my husband and I sampled everything except for the turkey (we were too full by the time we saw it). The gauchos were at our table within seconds of us turning our cards to green (green means ""more meat please"") and the service stayed consistent the entire meal. The price is well worth it at $42 a person for dinner, $4 cheaper than that other place down the road. I would reccommend this place to anyone! Pros: Great food and wonderful service Cons: Haven't found one yet! more

AWESOME experience...the foods good too. 6/6/2008

I had never been to a churrascaria before I went to Fuegovivo, and I was not disappointed. I went during lunch, and for the lunch price, it was a great deal. The service was top-notch. It really felt like they cared about your dining experience, and were very attentive to your needs. The salad bar was solid, and the meats were phenomenal. I couldnt have asked for a better time. I checked out Fogo de Chao the next week, and while it was also very good, Fuegovivo had set the bar so high, that it was almost impossible to compete. Since the place is pretty new, it doesnt seem to have built the same following as Fogo. This however, is a positive, meaning more individual attention than I got at Fogo. At the end of the day, 5 stars for sure! Pros: Service, quality, environment Cons: Wouldnt advise taking a date, because you will definately pig out more

They really know what a real churrasco means. 5/23/2008

Yes, we are in America, but even here you can taste a little bit of Brazil. They told me they were authentic. WOW, I felt like I was right at home. Every time I went to the other one down the road, I though I was in Argentina, who serves CHIMICHURRI in a BRAZILIAN Steakhouse??? What is Beef Ancho??? I've never seen this things in Brazil. They call themselves CHURRASCARIA, but it's written Argentina all over the place. At Fuegovivo, even with the funny name, they hold true to our traditions. I WILL BE BACK, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Try their leg of lamb... hummm yummy, the strawberry caipirinha is a must. Pros: Almost everything Cons: Funny Name??? more
