Sometimes Rude 8/14/2011

What brings us back is the food and entertainment. What makes us hesitate is the rudeness of the staff. I'm not talking about the servers, I'm talking about the person that answers the phone and the hostess. There have been a few times where we have come to the front door and leave because the people there make us wait, don't look our way and just leave us standing there. Once, we were in a booth (we spent about $400 that night) and they told us to sit in a different booth because it was time to change to a nightclub and they wanted to charge table service. Food good, Service & Wine bad 12/9/2007

We drove into Temecula on a Saturday, late afternoon, having never been there but hearing about the wine country & looking forward to trying some of the food, wine, and ambiance. 6pm seating was not a problem, but we waited for about 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. Strange, since not many tables seated. The wines were well presented. Maybe my palate was off that evening, but the three flights of red wines (Baily's Sangiovese, Cabernet Sav., and a Pinot Noir by Acacia) all tasted of too much vinegar (like strings around my uvula!) and noticeably high alcohol content. Tough wines, or my taste buds must be mellowing on fruity choices. My 8 yr old ordered the mac & cheese which I thought looked good but she told me it wasn't. But, her standards are in favor of ""box-mac"" and not strong swiss cheeses. My hubby & I ordered the phyllo-wrapped salmon & it was delicious. I repeat, delicious. Overall, the service was scattered & disorganized the whole time (though the server was nice). Service was slow - we had to cancel one wine order since it wouldn't come w/ the meal & our ""appetizers"" came after my daughter's main course & minutes before our main course. It was like the servers were really new to all of this. While the main course was delicious, I would avoid the place next time because the wine selections were minimal & service strangely inept. more

Great Food, Sloooooow Service 10/2/2006

I went for lunch on a Saturday with my parents and sister. I recommend sitting in the patio area, as it's nicer. We ordered our drinks and food and then waited... and waited. Our drinks arrived, but our food took about 45 minutes from the time we ordered it. And the restaurant was not even busy! I have to say the food was excellent (except for the Chicken Piccata Salad), but it took us way too long to get out of there. Pros: Food, Ambience, Parking Cons: Slow Service more
