We drove into Temecula on a Saturday, late afternoon, having never been there but hearing about the wine country & looking forward to trying some of the food, wine, and ambiance. 6pm seating was not a problem, but we waited for about 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. Strange, since not many tables seated. The wines were well presented. Maybe my palate was off that evening, but the three flights of red wines (Baily's Sangiovese, Cabernet Sav., and a Pinot Noir by Acacia) all tasted of too much vinegar (like strings around my uvula!) and noticeably high alcohol content. Tough wines, or my taste buds must be mellowing on fruity choices. My 8 yr old ordered the mac & cheese which I thought looked good but she told me it wasn't. But, her standards are in favor of ""box-mac"" and not strong swiss cheeses. My hubby & I ordered the phyllo-wrapped salmon & it was delicious. I repeat, delicious. Overall, the service was scattered & disorganized the whole time (though the server was nice). Service was slow - we had to cancel one wine order since it wouldn't come w/ the meal & our ""appetizers"" came after my daughter's main course & minutes before our main course. It was like the servers were really new to all of this. While the main course was delicious, I would avoid the place next time because the wine selections were minimal & service strangely inept.
