I called and they told me I could come in. The waiting room was FULL, I was surprised because the streets were still snowy but they still managed to call my name not even 10 minutes after I got there. The vet who saw us Jennifer, was AMAZING, the dog behaved throughout the whole visit more

My last visit was over a year ago, but my 'indoors' cat had been lost outside for three days and was severely dehydrated when I brought him to you. You were brilliant. Although I had heard that your hospital is both impersonal and expensive, I didn't find either was the case. You were quick to help, gentle with my cat and clear in your instructions more

I was a walk-in, I was seen almost immediately by a highly competent emergency vet (I think her name was Hannah). I have been to MANY vets who seemed to come up with every expensive test in the book to diagnose a problem. She was thorough, but I NEVER got the feeling she was trying to increase my bill by suggesting unnecessary tests. At the same time, she was professional and thorough more

I drove across town to bring my cat here when he was very ill on the recommendation of a friend and long-time District resident. I was very impressed by the operation. The staff were helpful, kind and understanding. They called me at home to give me regular updates on my pet's progress. Unfortunately, my pet passed away as a result of a terminal illness. The staff at the hospital were incredibly supportive during a painful time and made a donation to a local animal shelters in my cat's name more

I moved to DC a year ago and several people recommended this Vet so I checked it out. They have a state of the art facility and the best staff! more

I tried out several animal hospitals when I first moved to D.C. last year and finally found Friendship Heights Hospital for Animals after a recommendation from an acquaintance. I was referred to Dr. Bolch and she is the sweetest woman ever with my insanely energetic beagle. I felt very comfortable putting my dog in her care. I haven't met with any of the other doctors, but if you have a dog, I would highly recommend requesting your appointment with Dr. Bolch. The only con about this vet office is that the front desk is run by very young kids and they are sometimes inattentive or clueless. Just be patient. They are only there for you to pay the bills anyway, so it isn't a reflection on the type of care your pet will receive. Pros: Easy to get an appointment Cons: Sometimes the staff at the front desk is flighty more
