Friendly Plumber

Friendly Plumber is great. Very professional.  The plumber showed up maybe 10 minutes early for the appointment and gave me a detailed written estimate on the spot. \r \r I wanted to have the job done immediately since my water heater was kaput, so the plumber called their office to order the heater and for more parts to additionally repair my bathroom sink faucet.\r \r A little over 30 minutes later, another truck pulled in front of my house with my new water heater. The guy at my house installed it and repaired my faucet, at exactly the same price I was quoted.  \r \r I also instructed on what I should consider in the future to bring the rest of the plumbing in my home up to date to avoid emergencies, and I am confident at his level of expertise as my faucet works really, really well now. more

They RESCUED us on their last visit!\r \r I had children's party scheduled for 2pm and 11:30am, my husband screamed ""the water heater burst!"" Luckily, I had their business card in my fridge because my neighbor recommended them for my upcoming remodel. \r \r I ended-up using their services waaay before, and since they saved the day for me, I totally have no hesitation about using them for the remodel now. more

We have been loyal to Friendly Plumber over 3 years now. We had a complete water and gas repipe in 2005 and have been using them ever since. Good price. Fast response. Yay! more

I've been using Friendly for a couple of years now. Through the years, I had my sink worked on, my toilet reset, the pipe under my sink re-soldered (or something or rather) and a bunch more work done at my tenant's condo. \r \r What I like most about this company is the fact that I call the office, tell them the problem, and as long as I or my tenant leave our keys at our secret (shhh!) hiding spot, we go home to the job done, as if some secret little creature snuck in there in the middle of the day and fixed things and left -- without a trace. \r \r I like how I have a trustworthy company to rely on when it comes to plumbing. Let me tell you here and now that I've tried several others who ""claim"" to be reliable, but Friendly actually is. Pros: trustworthy company more

I'm SICK of home improvement!\r \r Here comes my husband, telling me he'll fix this, and that. A week later, nothing happens. The drip, dripping -- was absolutely the last straw.\r \r Friendly Plumber came highly recommended, so that was good enough for me. This guy came to my house, took less than 45 minutes to adjust the bathroom faucet. He was professional, friendly, and seemed like a good guy all around. DUDE, I OWE YOU A BEER!\r \r And btw honey, I hired a pro -- deal with it! more

I called around and couldn't find anybody to fix drinking fountains.\r \r I finally found Friendly Plumber, who came to my office when they said they would, fixed the drinking fountain, cleaned-up after themselves, and no one is complaining anymore!\r \r Thanks for being so professional, we'll definitely use you again. \r \r Job well done! Called Friendly Plumber first for a leaky kitchen faucet. They told me $40 trip charge, so no thanks. I called the next guy here because his estimate is free.. Took the afternoon off since they gave me a 3-5pm window of when the guy was going to show up. I waited, and waited, and waited. No one showed up. At 5:45, I called the plumber again and was told that the supervisor is talking to the plumber on the other line, and they put me on hold. I was on hold for over 10 minutes on my cell phone, paying for every glorious minute. The receptionist finally came on the line to tell me that he's definitely not coming that evening. They can squeeze me in the next day though. They just can't do any work that day because their schedule's full. This is what I got for being cheap. I called Friendly again the day after and this time I got their last appointment for the day. Apparently someone cancelled. Friendly plumber showed up, unscrewed the handle, replaced a thingy, screwed it back on, and done. Man that was fast, and professional! I'm totally sold. Pros: Fast work, and professional! Rob is great - very professional, easy to work with, and always gives a reasonable price. He gave me an estimate last Friday for the continuation of my 2002 Victorian remodel, and we're starting work on the bonus suite at my basement tomorrow.\r \r Even though a lot of time has passed under the bridge, he still remembered the small details about the project that even I have completely forgotten. He said one of the reasons he still works out in the field as opposed to ""manning a desk"" like most of his competitors is this very reason. Employees come and go, but as long as he owns the company, he wants to personally make sure that all customers are happy with the final product, and should he ever see me in the supermarket one day, he can look me in the eye and be able to talk to me without any hesitation. I really believe that.. He's a great guy. more

I am an Office Manager for a small jewelry shop in San Francisco. When the toilet in our office started acting up, I made some calls.\r \r Friendly was the first to call me back Monday morning, and thus won our project with their professionalism. They were flexible in sending a guy to our office at lunchtime, which helped manage the transition smoothly. Friendly Plumber came to my house to look at our water heater and give me an estimate. I wanted a tankless water heater and so this was ordered and we made an appt to come back the Monday after it was supposed to come in to do the work. While working on the heater he noticed another small part to the pipe that needed to be repaired. He did not charge me for that part because he didn't add it into the original estimate. (very honorable) He was very professional and polite. He also had very good communication, leaving messages on both my home and mobile phone with updates as we were waiting for the heater. I was in a desperate rush for a plumber because my bathroom sink faucet wasn't working. I found Friendly Plumber through searching their reviews, and we first did a telephone 3-way with my dear landlord -- who is tanning in Maui as I write this, to get permission for them to work. This was really helpful in eliminating any questions on my landlord's part, because we're all at least in the same page, and I'm happy my problem was attended to by a professional.\r \r Joseph did all the work in less than 3 hours, which really helped free up the rest of my day off. I was given a 4 hour window by another plumber just to show-up, and my hot water dispenser wasn't even going to be installed the same day.\r \r Even my landlord is miraculously happy because the plumber's charge was reasonable and all the work is backed up by a warranty. \r \r Pros: Reasonable Charge. New month, new problem, with my basement ceiling leaking from the bathroom above. I had my basement in law flooded from the water heater that was faultily connected by the previous plumber, to roots from the tree in front of my house, which is apparently owned by the city - suffice it to say my run of plumbing bad luck had snagged a trifecta, and it's just February yet.\r \r I got bids and talked to two other plumbers before I turned to the internet to doublecheck on the reputation of these companies I was considering. In the process, I discovered Friendly Plumber and their good reviews, so with a reputation as good as theirs, they must be doing something right. It seemed unreal how they can please so many people. I had to try them for myself since I know that with my share of the insurance deductible, I had better be getting a job with solid results. My insurance company just won't stand for repeat visits anyhow. \r \r Jo from Friendly Plumber showed up to my house with shoe booties, which I thought was a professional touch. He was courteous, and immediately got to diagnosing the fact that my son and I have a tendency to splash around the tub and water was escaping, causing the leak. \r \r Thank God it was nothing major! He also noticed that our water heater still isn't strapped correctly, and this time, I'm no longer taking chances so I had him deal with that too. I am pleased with his expertise and am glad I did my research this time around. \r \r I am okay with the price I paid, albeit a little higher than the two other plumbers. Joseph is an excellent contractor! He and a helper just finished a full bathroom remodel for me, and installed a tankless hot water heater at my house in 2008. That has been a Godsend to my four kids, and we now have a gorgeous showroom, bragging rights bathroom my wife is so psyched about.\r \r Joseph and his helper were very professional and trustworthy. We are very pleased with their quality of work, and excellent attention to detail. more

Special respect and many thanks to Joseph, who stuck with our ""mystery leak"" until it was solved. Gas fireplaces are tricky in that it's a specialty area between plumbing and electrical. Many plumbers can not handle this type of repair. I know because I went through eight seemingly expert companies in the Yellow Pages, and no one could give me any answers. Joseph came to my home a total of 5 times - until the repair was complete. Throughout what could have been an unpleasant and frustrating experience (for me and their company), all employees I have encountered were friendly and professional. more

My mother's Victorian developed a bad leak in one of the bathrooms. If there's something that can be said about Victorians is the chain reaction of problems that can happen, once something sets it off.\r \r Well, Joseph of Friendly Plumber came over a couple of nights ago, and squeezed us in at the end of his work day and fixed the leak like it was no big deal. My mom said she can tell he is definitely experienced at problem repairs. He was professional, quick and very considerate in what he charged her - not jacking up the price because she's a senior citizen.\r \r Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had Friendly Plumber come out for a leaky shower that another company told me could not be fixed. Their guy came out promptly, was friendly, and fixed it and then I showed him water under my wall-mount toilet and he said it wasn't properly mounted, which is the cause of the water damage on our wall. \r \r He recommended an emergency restoration company to take care of the water damage, and at first, he could not find the parts to fix the toilet because the previous plumber had mickey moused it, but he never gave up and found all the parts later that day to fix it. \r \r I found Friendly Plumber to be very professional, knowledgeable and will do whatever it takes to fix the problem. \r \r I will recomend them as everybody from their receptionist to their techs are a pleasure to work with! what a huge difference between a professional, competent person who knows what he's doing vs. the unscrupulous shysters i've hired through the years! \r \r friendly plumber's charge was maybe average, plus the guy they sent knew exactly what needed to be done with my water heater. he took care of some issues the previous plumber left undone, so i feel good and now have the peace of mind that my heater's not going to stop working up in the middle of the night. \r \r job done right. i'll call on this company again in the future. I spent a horrible Friday waiting for a certain (ahem) Rooter company to arrive, and when they finally called at almost 4 in the afternoon to say they won't be able to make it, I search the web and found Friendly Plumber.\r \r I live in a Victorian and they were able to diagnose the problem right way (roots growing into our clay pipes) and fix the problem quickly and cheaply! Through out Rob gave me such personal attention and addressed every question, explained all that was happening, and made me feel very well taken care of. \r \r The price they charged me was a little less than what the Rooter company told me over the phone, and I'm glad I didn't go cheap on their $30 Trip Charge because I think it was night and day, they were prompt and professional as opposed to the earlier flake of a plumbing company. \r \r I haven't had any problems since and I wholeheartedly recommend Friendly Plumber to everyone I know!
