Best

I can't imagine the people who wrote negative reviews are eating at the same restaurant. Jeffry, the head chef is outstanding! If you are looking for meatloaf and mashed potatoes,...

Our server added a nice 'tip' to our bill that we failed to notice until the day after.

Some of the best dining in Raleigh 7/25/2005

I found Frazier's a few years ago and have been recommending it to everyone I know, and they haven't been disappointed yet! I'm an executive chef in Raleigh and was in Chicago for 12 years and as an executive chef there for 5 of them. I've eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the nation and worked with some of the greatest and seen the best there is. In Raleigh Fraziers is one of the best I've found! Great food, great wine and great service = Frazier's Pros: Excellent Menu & wine, Reasonable Price, Great Service Cons: Parking more

Truly a cut above 7/4/2005

Having read the reviews here, I brought a party of 8 for a special occasion. A hectic day caused us to be 30 min. late (must have caused quite an inconvenience, as the restaurant is small and was completely booked) - yet, the staff were absolutely wonderful on the phone, and pulled some scheduling acrobatics to make it work. They were even nicer when we arrived, showing a level of courtesy and hospitality unlike any I have seen - they treated us like VIPs. Our server (his name escapes me now, last name was Irish though) was oustanding - truly superlative - probably the best service we have ever had. The food was inspired, delicious, AND generous in portion size (my pet peeve). And the prices were so reasonable - for 8 with wine and several of us having salads/appetizers, the bill was about $250. WOW! Pros: Outstanding service, Inspired menu , Reasonable prices Cons: Parking can be tricky more

Superb versatility 6/6/2005

What a great experience!! I will definitely be back. I'm adventurous but my husband is pretty simple straight forward with food so we sometimes disagree on where to go. At Frazier's we were both very satisfied. I had the foi gras over a rubard sauce then the lamb sirloin over ravioli. Yum. My husband started with a wonderful cream of roasted vidalia onion soup and had the steak and fries. We split the wonderful bread pudding with homemade ice cream. I was impressed that even the ice cream was homemade!! The staff was attentive and friendly. The bill was very reasonable. A great find! Pros: great atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff more

Although I am a Pennsylvania resident, I often visit my daughter who lives in the Raleigh area. We have dined at several area restaurants, but we have decided that our favorite is definitely Frazier's. The meals are always exceptional and the servers are extremely helpful and friendly. I recently tried a chicken dish with cheddar smashed potatoes and French beans. Delicious! Pros: outstanding chef, friendly service more

I concur with all others 6/9/2004

Frazier's has become the favorite dining destination for my wife and I. We have consistently received familiar and friendly service, seated at our reserved table at the reserved time, and best of all, great food. It is a new experience for me to return to a restaurant where I am remembered by name. I've patronized other restaurants in the area for years and am treated like a stranger on every visit. Frazier's sets a very high standard for other restaurants to strive for .. good luck !!! Pros: Food, Service more

Good, though no longer a find 6/8/2004

When Frazier's opened, it was sensational. The food's high standard was matched by its sensational value. Last time I dined there however, I spent $120 for two, w/ two beers and no wine. Frankly, their food remains excellent but I believe that their offerings are priced or perhaps over-priced accordingly. I am baffled how Porter's next door (same management) offers comparable fare in a chicer setting for half the cost. Pros: fare more

10++ 11/15/2003

It is hard to believe that Frazier's does not have a 10 rating. The food is superb, beautifully presented, service is great, and atmosphere is just fine. It is a lovely restaurant in all respects. A tip to diners....If you ask for a special dish of the chef's choice, you will be quite pleased. I have asked for a vegetarian chef's choice several times and the ONLY time I was disappointed is when the regular chef was on vacation and a substitute chef prepared the food. Each meal designed and prepared by the regular chef was delightful to the taste and a still life almost too splendid to eat. Frazier's is my favorite dining spot in Raleigh. more

Best Overall 9/25/2003

Amazing place especially if you factor in value. Entrees here are priced very reasonably. The small but balanced menu (always has a vegetarian, chicken, beef, and tuna entree) changes regularly for variety. Lunch is also a killer deal with great food. The food is always fresh and presented well. The service is attentive and friendly. They have even been very accommodating for our child who actually enjoys their chicken. Their wine list is small but decent, and I only wish that they have more tables at times although this hasn't been a huge problem for us. In the evening, parking is free on the other side of the street. No problems. Pros: Food, Service/Staff more

What a pleasant surprise 7/14/2003

It's easy to overlook the unassuming storefront on Hillsborough St. What a delightful find in Raleigh. Low key atmosphere, friendly and knowlegable staff and great food. It's been a while since I've been to a restaurant where I actually had a really hard time narrowing down a choice on both an appetizer and entree. I'm looking forward to many more visits to Fraziers. Pros: food, service, quality Cons: a tad noisy more

Best Overall in Raleigh 7/1/2003

This is perhaps the best overall dining establishment I've been to in Raleigh. The food is fantastic, and the dishes are true pieces of art. The servers are excellent and have a true command of the menu(s) and food pairings. This store is run by regulars, and there's a reason for it. Can't wait to see the new restaurant Porters that the owners of Fraziers are opening nextdoor. Pros: Great Service, Value, Enjoyable Music Cons: Parking, a little small more

I agree... Frazier's is fabulous!!! 2/18/2003

Talk about excellent food & service Fraziers got it all! Out of the dozen or so times that Ive been there, not a single bad experience. The food is always fresh, innovative and delicious not to mention the presentation. What can I say? I love this place I love the appetizers, seafood, pasta, the list goes on. This restaurant is truly exceptional, from the flavors to the selections, which are always extraordinary. Trust me, youll be hooked after just 1 meal! The only thing thats not perfect about Fraziers (in my book anyway) is that they need more space the restaurant is not very big, so the wait can be long but the food and service are so worth it. However, theyre expanding in the near future, so that would definitely help out with the wait. I only wish other restaurants would follow the standards set by Fraziers! Pros: innovative food, excellent service, fabulous art decor Cons: need more space, need a bigger bar more

Frazier's: The Perfect Restaurant 2/16/2003

Frazier's is the Perfect restaurant! The food is some of the best I've had in the triangle, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is great for any situation...first date, anniversary, a night out w/family or friends. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere more

not to be confused with the sitcom 2/8/2003

wonderful food and service, this place has come a long way in a short time Pros: food, service, selection Cons: parking more

The greatest appetizers ever 12/31/2002

Absolutely great food very interesting and tasty appetisers some of the best food I have ever had! Excellent value many interesting choices. Pros: all esp cooks very, professioal Cons: Abit of a wait but, well worth it more

Best Value in Triangle! 11/14/2002

Went for dinner last night. Had to wait a few minutes for a table even with a reservation, but once seated enjoyed a fantastic dinner. The lobster ""martini"" is excellent, with great contrasts between the sweet lobster and savory celery root. Also had quail entree...again excellent. The chef clearly has a strong command of sauces; a requirement in my book. When the bill came, I was actually shocked how low it was. The quality is perhaps somewhat less than Magnolia Grill, but the price is WAY lower. The best gourmet food value in the Triangle by far. I have a new favorite restaurant! Pros: Price, Excellent Food, Friendly staff Cons: parking more

Why bother going anywhere else? 7/26/2002

Fraziers is the best dining experience I have had for as long as I can remember. I have eaten lunch there frequently but made my first trip for dinner yesterday. I was dining with an important business colleague from Manhattan. Everything was perfect. The food was spectacular, the owner and manager were splendidly attentive and the wait staff first rate. I can't tell you how fabulous the food was. The chef is the most talented around the region. Furthermore its the most reasonable procewise you can imagine. Fraziers outperforms and undercuts all the so-called premier restaurants by a wide margin. Just go. You can't be disappointed more
