Great Dessert 1/13/2006

Finale is the perfect way to end a romantic date night out. Here they serve excellent desserts (with an emphasis on chocolate) and after-dinner coffees. It is perfect to sit and enjoy a sweet, or to take one home with you. People complain about the desserts here being expensive, but they are no more (about $5) than any nicer area restaurants. When you think of it this way, Finale is a perfect way to change your location after a romantic dinner and enjoy a great dessert at the same time. more

Get the creme brulee 9/29/2005

The atmosphere at Finale is definitely a little snobbish, not welcoming. The desserts are very expensive, and not very large. So why do so many people keep going? Well, the desserts taste incredible. They have the best creme brulee I've ever tasted, and it's pretty easy to overlook all the negatives once you take a bite. I've never eaten from their dinner menu, but their desserts are all worth it. They also have smaller take-out desserts that are a little bit cheaper but taste just as amazing, if you're looking to save a few bucks. more

great desserts 9/25/2005

This place mainly serves desserts and has the best desserts around. If you eat there, be prepared for a wait especially on weekends. I feel that the servers are a little pretentious and rude if you aren't dressed up to par. However, the desserts are good enough to overlook that fact. They have a counter where you can buy dessert and take it home and those desserts are amazing too. The cakes are delicious. more

The restaurant Finale is not really a restaurant. All they sell are mainly desserts and tehy do a really good job at it. However, it gets really expensive and you could pay at least $5 for some slices of cake. The place is usually very dark and is for romantics. So, be sure to check this out if you are on a date. more

A Once and a While Splurge 9/3/2005

Finale is a really special place to go for a beautiful and delicious dessert. While dessert is their specialty, they do have savory options for those who can't have dessert on an empty stomach :) And while it is expensive for a meal ending, it is really a fun place to go to try something different. The samplers are to die for and have a great sampling of what the restaurant has to offer. more

Great to look at, and not bad for eating! 9/1/2005

I really enjoyed Finale; we bought a cake for my friend's birthday and we all enjoyed it. They are picture perfect and real artwork to look at. They aren't the most amazing desserts I've ever eaten, but they are certainly worth the cost. more

I'd never been to Finale before but have friends who rave about the place! I was surprised at the care and technique put into each dessert. They are picture perfect when they come out to you. And the taste...sinfully delicious! I devoured my boston cream with tiny whoopie pies on the side. My friend's cheesecake was the best I've had, and my other friend's molten chocolate cake looked to die for. If you love dessert, go to Finale!! more

Always save room for dessert! 8/17/2005

If your sweet tooth is calling and you're not in the mood for an ice cream cone or a generic cookie, head to Finale. Finale is THE place to go for up-scale dessert. I always love the creme brulee and the fruit desserts. Of course, you can't go wrong with anything chocolate at Finale either. Finale also has a good list of complimentary drinks, but they are also a bit on the expensive side. This is a perfect place for a date or to go with your girlfriends. Finally, I think the Cambridge location has better desserts than the Boston location. more

Great Dessert 8/7/2005

Finale serves great desserts and they have even started to serve savory dishes. The hours of the Finale is not as convenient though. I tried to walk in for a dessert (during afternoon tea time) but they only offered take out at that time, and I could not eat there. However, their desserts are very good, and the chocolate desserts are very rich. more

An expensive (but heavenly) ending for dessert 8/6/2005

This is a high-end, upscale, dessert place located near the heart of Cambridge, by Harvard Square. Anything and everything on their dessert menu has a presentation that one can only call artwork. It seems a shame to destroy such artwork by ingestion, yet these masterpieces cry out to you and your appetite. Picture-worthy and satisfyingly quenching the chocolate/dessert crave, you will never forget this dessert experience. more

I would say that the price for desert is really expensive. Once desert can cost around $5 -8/slice. The cake is so-so. The place is good, hard to get a parking though. If you really like this place, you should get the reward card where you can get points. You will get double points on Monday and get free cake on your birthday. Ask them for details. more
