Worst

I have eaten there twice. Once I had Chili Colorado with very little meat and too much garlic (and I love garlic.) The second time I had a beef taco and beef burrito and the beef ...

Just keep on driving.... 5/5/2011

Sorry service...rude, unattentive. Took a half hour to get waited on. No drink refills. You must stand up, wave your arms and shout to get anyone to look your way...after they sigh and roll their eyes, they might come your way. And the food....my, my. I've eaten better mexican out of the frozen food case at Krogers. Not sure how this place stays in business. more

Don't waste your time 12/3/2010

The food is mediocre at best, but the service is what really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It takes forever to get seated, forever to get your food, and forget about any refills on anything. It took asking our waitress four times for a salsa refill. There are a lot better in the area for the same amount of $$. more

Hott Mess of a Restruant 5/5/2010

A group of 4 coworkers including myself decided to dine at the Azteca for lunch on Cinco de Mayo. Before leaving the office we made 2 attempts to call to check on the wait but noone ever answered the phone so we headed there anyway (Problem #1). Pros: Cerro Cons: Service, Odor, Food, Overall Experience more

I'll drive across town to eat Mexican at this restaurant. I't's the best in town as far as I'm concerned. Pros: Fiatas and Margrarita's Cons: Parking more

Got sick 3/13/2009

I don't know if it was the margiritas or the fajitas or chip & salsa i ate. But i got sick after eating there. I'll never go back. The service was terrible. Don't go. Cons: Food got me sick, service more

Parking Nightmare 3/4/2009

I joined my co-workers for a drink after work. After leaving the restaurant 45 minutes later, I discovered my car had been booted by the shady ""Parking Enforcement."" They stuck a piece of paper in my window with no specific information on it. The paper said they had ""immobilized"" my car. I had to call the number on the paper to get my car released. It was some random guy's cell phone. He pulled up in a pick up truck with nothing but a tool and a credit card machine. No uniform, no business card, no identification. He swiped my card for $50, took the boot off, and left. This is what I consider a legal form of robbery. I worked downtown for 3 years and the most I have ever paid for a parking violation is $10. I stopped for a $2 beer and wound up spending $50 for some sleaze ball to release my car. The restaurant did nothing wrong, but I will never be back. If they cared about their customers, the business owners would do something about this scam. more

I have eaten there twice. Once I had Chili Colorado with very little meat and too much garlic (and I love garlic.) The second time I had a beef taco and beef burrito and the beef had way too much salt. I am from California and I do not recommend Fiesta Azteca. Pros: Great chips and salsa Cons: bad food more

DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT 3/29/2008

DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT behind the restaurant, next to Cafe Coco. We paid $5 to park there and got booted anyway. It happened to a couple of other cars that night, too. All of us paid. All of us got booted. All of us had to pay $50 to get the boot removed. I remember joking that we should have recorded ourselves on our cell phones putting money into the slot in case we got towed. We should have. I won't park there again, but if you do, generate your own record for paying. It's a racket. Don't park anywhere where they don't give you a receipt. more

Repeated Disappointment 5/16/2007

Visited Azteca on several occasions each time service was horrible. Even on slow days the service was worse than busy days. The wait staff bordered lazy and uncaring. But if you can stomach the service/wait staff the food is a 5 on a scale of 10. Pros: Decent food Cons: Horrible customer service and attention to detail more

Horrible service! 5/6/2007

We went here for the first time on Cinco de Mayo and during the late afternoon. Our first request was to sit outside on their patio, to which they replied no. Of course there was no hostess, just some waitresses sitting down at a table acting annoyed that we dared interrupt their conversation. We asked how long it would be and they said we don't know, but you can't sit out there. Great. So, they sit us near a window and bring us our drinks. They brought out Sangria that tasted like Welch's grape juice and a small margarita for 4.50 (it was on special) that tasted like they forgot to add tequila. Upon requesting Queso dip, we were brought out cheese dip and only after pointing out that we had ordered queso dip they tell us, ""Oh, we don't have any."" They didn't offer anything else or suggest any alternative; they just walked away. The fajitas came out rather quickly and were ok, except for rice and beans that were nasty and tasteless (as opposed to some other Mexican restaurants in town who make excellent food). Cons: Service, drinks, food more

horrible service 4/2/2007

Went with a group of 15 people prior to an Exit/In show. I called several hours in advance to ensure they could accomodate the group and to let them know what time we would arrive. First, we didn't have enough seats. Secondly, we waited at least 20 minutes after sitting down before ever seeing our server. We stopped several other servers tyring to locate ours with no success. When I politely notified staff how long we had been waiting, I was shrugged off and told they are just busy. It was complete chaos when our server finally appeared. We requested to put in our food order with our drink order in fear of never seeing her again. We were told that was fine but she would continue to walk away each time we tried to place our order. I have been a server myself and know about being ""in the weeds"" but this was ridiculous. I will not be going there again! more

Nice 11/7/2006

The food is good and the staff is great. They have a deck, so in the summer months that's the place to be. It's awesome! Pros: The deck is great. Cons: Some times the deck is too crwded. more

Great food for the price, fun environment too! 3/15/2006

My husband and I eat at Fiesta Azteca on a fairly regular basis. We have never had a bad meal here. The salsa and chips are very good and are brought out just as soon as you sit down. Their taco salad, enchiladas, tacos, and nachos are the best. The fried ice cream is the perfect way to finish off a meal. If you are looking for excellent Mexican food at a great price, Fiesta Azteca is the place to go. Pros: Great food, fun environment, very affordable Cons: Can be loud, Parking sometimes more

Great, great, great! 6/1/2005
